Staff is pretty good all the younger kids working there aren't as friendly. But it's not bad. It is always hard to get a deli sandwich because of staffing they say they have no one to watch the hot case while they make a sandwich so they are unable to. Biggest negative is pharmacy. It's always a very long line and I've had a bad experience with the older lady on a phone call. She was extremely rude to me and ended up hanging up on me. So I've changed all my prescriptions to another local pharmacy. I come to this store multiple times a week , even multiple times a day. Overall I have given them another chance and I am very happy. Not happy that I over pay for everything here. But if I don't want to drive 25 min down the hill it's a price I have to pay. Anyways, happy with all the improvements here.

I pulled off since I was heading towards Woodland and stocked up on some decent Napa Valley wines for a bargain ! If you miss the deal today this weekend you can get 20 percent off but you do have to sign uo on the app to get the deals! The one thing about Grocery Outlet is that you have to be VERY careful to check all expiration dates - especially with the premade salads and lunchmeats. They have a smaller selection of fruits and veggies compared to other more populated stores. Overall you can get some good deals! Thank you Maria!

I look forward to bargains in their cheese selection! Sometimes really good stuff really cheap! Recently, merchandise shelves have been inconsistently stocked, aisles crowded. The shift to the GO brand items has changed inventory, not always for the better. Yes, there can be some huge bargains on "soon to be out of date" items, but those dates are totally meaningless unless you are buying fresh meat, dairy or baby food... so OK by me! I stock up on wine during their 20% off sales, too. Never had a bad bottle. Staff is generally young locals, not particularly focused on customer service. Sometimes hard to find a cart or find something that's on sale. Outside, they really need to rake up the trash that blows into the landscaping around the parking lot. The new Tractor Supply next door makes Grocery Outlet's lot look sad and uncared for.

The store is much larger than I anticipated and they have an amazing array of fresh produce, just as you enter the place. It's best to scope out the store and check out all that's available. The aisles meander and you may find things were It's least expected. They have a good looking meat counter and lots of typical market items, plus local things too. I was on a quest for breakfast things and amazed to fine very nicely packaged breakfast sandwiches and burritos made by the store in a refrigerator case. I grabbed several. The store is a bit rustic yet clean and well organized, and there's lots beyond just food items at one end of the store. The woman who checked me out was very pleasant and friendly. If you're looking for something to eat, or fill up on groceries, this is it.

They don't subscribe to the usual country-wide USDA meat standards at all, instead push some off brand "sterling silver" stuff that they call the top 2/3ths of choice meats. They don't label things (like everywhere else) as select, choice or prime. That's the USDA standard across the USA. I discovered WHY they don't do that--they don't want to invest in a trained meat grader. It takes money to achieve the USDA standards. So if you buy any beef from them it's a complete gamble. Toss your dice, instead of your money away. I called them three times to get the manager's attention to this problem but she never bothered to return my calls. If you break down and buy their stuff just be prepared to have to return it--they don't trim the excessive fat off anything. Their logic--force the buyer to have to pay for it. Being choice fundamentally means we are being denied the ability to purchase quality beef at all from Holiday Market. Apparently it's quite common for customers to have to return meats. Other than beef, we have discovered other meats to be spoiled--literally rotten. Fortunately, it was so rotten we avoided eating it so as not to get food poisoning. On the positive side Holiday Market has a great in-store pharmacy and excellent employees (other than a non-responsive manager).

A pack of Oscar Meyer Hot dogs is $5.49, $1.99 in Chico. Lemons are .69 or more each. $.40 in Chico. The list goes on and on. Some products are increased as much as dollar or more at a time. That's not inflation, as much as corporate greed. They have Whole Food prices to sell to tourists in the summer, but we locals have to pay the high prices all year long. I'm disappointed.
