This isn't authentic Mexican food. Lacked the seasonings and the burrito was not wrapped properly, fell apart immediately. There was a group of locals picking up and waiting to order. It's inside of a market with some groceries/canned food, chips, sodas, and lots of alcohol/beer. The woman cooking is super sweet and I believe is the wife of the owner, the gentleman at the register. The inside is larger than you can see from the outside and feels jam packed with lots to choose. I hope they introduce some new menu items with food from their culture. This town needs some variety!

Just ordered the Chile Relleno from John's Market. I definitely had my doubts with this hole-in-the-wall place. It was freaking delicious. We got the plate and it came with retried beans and rice. They ran out of rice so they gave us double refried beans and tortillas.

I always get carnitas on which how I judge a good Mexican food. I ordered super burrito with carnitas and came out huge. All the food in here are all to go. The food was not good. The flavor of the pork is weird. The burrito is 10 dollars which I am not complaining ( I even gave a tip for the nice lady who made the burrito) but the taste was not good. They put jalapeños and corn which I think it shouldn't be there. I ate a lot of Mexican food from SF even in LA. I gave another star for the lady who made my burrito because she is very nice.

The most authentic Mexican take-out in the county. Whole beans in their burritos, amazing rellenos and tamales. Great desserts.

Was in lakeport for court Tuesday and had a serious craving for a sandwich. After seeking yelp for…read morehelp, I found Jimmy's with the highest rating for Sammy's around. So naturally, we had to stop by. This place is quite interesting, they tout themselves to be a deli, but also a taqueria... AND Mediterranean food spot. The staff inside are absolutely awesome, they're helpful, patient, efficient, & had great energy and customer service... the people alone are worth going back for 4.8/5. The restaurant is decent sized, clean, and organized, though the sitting area itself has a back wall where stock is being stored, and that slightly detracted from the fact I was eating inside of an eatery and not a warehouse 3.8/5. Now, let's get into the food. My man and I decided to split a turkey and pesto sandwich and share a 4ct of dolma. We ate the Dolma first, & holy moly some of the most flavorful dolma I've had, I loved that it was served with lime, there was a very mild hint of mint and I loved that subtlety, the only critique is that the grape leaves could have had a little more bite to them, but overall I still give it a 4.75/5. When the turkey pesto came out, the bread and turkey were still hot, while all the veggies were cold and fresh, pesto tasted made in house & the bread felt and tasted fresh, like it was made right before we walked in? 4.8/5. Because the sandwich and dolma was soooooo good, we made a second order to try their Mexican BBSQ. We ordered two chicken and 2 tri-tip BBQ tacos. They're served with cilantro, onion, hot sauce, lime, and jalapeños. Both tacos were so juicy, each bite was almost dripping wet. Fresh ingredients, jalapeños were nice and spicy, and the meats were packed with flavor. Chicken taco was slightly bland in comparison to tri-tip so chicken taco is 4/5 and tri-tip taco is a 4.75/5. Overall, I rate this establishment a 4.5/5

Even at 1:30 in the afternoon the place keeps a steady pace of patrons coming in. Everything is sold à la carte. Between the four of us we had a shawarma, a chicken gyro, a chicken taco, and Jimmy's classic with pepper jack cheese added, along with two orders of french fries. Everything was good. Service is kind of limited. You order and pay at the counter and receive a number to place on your table of you're eating in. The team delivers your food, and then you're pretty much on your own. The storefront is small, but not too cramped. There's a water station and a coffee station. If you want something else to drink you pick the bottle or can out of the fridge located near the cash register. I read in some of the other reviews here, prices are a bit on the higher side, so I was prepared. There's a good likelihood we'll be back, as I said the food was good.

Very odd people and behavior. I have only experienced one decent employee who is consistently nice, helpful and offers to signup for the reward points to receive free items. We ordered breakfast burritos and received the wrong burrito. I tried to call back and could not get through, I ended up calling, and this is sadly not an exaggeration, eleven times before they picked up the phone. The person taking orders was Julius and he was not apologetic when they messed up my burrito the first time, he was even less so when we had to go back for the THIRD time because they had messed it up again. When I called (for the 12th time!) he actually chuckled and seemed to find it funny that the order had been messed up again. He blamed kitchen staff, however when I was there it appeared he continuously gave them the wrong order. They were the only ones who seemed to know what they were doing. We tried to reach out to the Aztec Grill customer service email and have not received any type of response back. Unfortunately solely due to how Julius acted I can not recommend Aztec Grill to anyone, and we used to be frequent visitors.
