They had gloves and we even were able to get some flavored oils and food color at a good price for the candy. They have a lot of fun cooking items you won't find in a grocery store or department store. The staff was also helpful.

I was extremely disappointed we didn't actually cook anything. Everyone was very nice but my expectations for a $100 + cooking class per person were not met considering we didn't cook anything. I was handed a packet with all the recipes for the food we were "making". The first recipe was the crab rangoon except all we did was stuff the wonton wrappers and actually put it together. Same with the bao buns. At no point were the porcupine meatballs even a thing. They were made prior, mentioned, and put on our plates. Everything was made in advance. So I paid to fill wonton wrappers and get printed out recipes I could find online. Also, we weren't even going to get to stuff the bao buns. They were going to have a group of people do each thing - 1 to stuff the buns and the other crab Rangoon except I said I wanted to do the buns too so everyone got to do a couple. Honestly the food was bland except for the bao buns. I won't be using their recipes. Truely disappointed and feel like I was swindled out of money. They should be more forthcoming about what this "cooking class" entails. It's not actually cooking.

It was our first time and they made us feel extremely welcomed and invited. That's a HUGE green flag in my book. You want to be around people excited about their job and what they do. When I went to pick up my friend's kid, he was very excited for what he cooked. I got to try some of the pizza he made and honestly, the crust was better than a lot of the pizza joints out there and the crust I've made before. He's in the older class (pre teens and teens) and seemed to enjoy cooking with them. Afterwards, the front desk told us about the different classes and programs. We got the recipe for this week and past weeks so we can try them at home as some of the items caught my eye. He loved the class and will be going back. If your kid has an eye on cooking and wants to learn, I'd definitely sign them up here. It's always good to have some hands on help to ask questions and learn. Wish they had more classes and we missed out on sign ups for the summer. It's $40 a class or 4 weeks is $145 I believe. 90 minute classes. Since they already have the ingredients and everything, it's worth the price.

You only get to watch 2 chefs cook, and not really learn any new skills. Throughout our class I had the luxury or chopping 1/4 of an onion and tomato. Never was taught how to properly use a knife.

Even after the 1st day my meals at home were suddenly consistent and significantly better. 12 weeks later and I am confidently relaxed in my kitchen. I enjoy the ease that I feel now; from preparing dinner, menu planning, temp control, and little tips you just can't learn on google. Learning in person from Chef Jason and Chef Ben with a group of funny, eager, and caring adults has really shaped how I can give back to my family. This was the common denominator for all the students in our course. We wanted to learn a new skill to share with the ones we care about most, our families. "I haven't made a sh**** meal since day one of this course" - quote from my fiancé Take the leap and invest in yourself and your family plus laughing about it along the way is always a plus.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The class covered all the bases of what you could learn in a beginners cooking class. From potion, to fish, to veggies, to knifes skills it is a good balance. The pace was not too fast but not too slow. We would learn about a subject, watch the chef cook it and then do it ourselves. I really liked my chef instructor explained things thoroughly but not overly controlling. One of the best parts is you got to take your a recipe sheet home with everything you learned that day and the food that you made, my husband and my kids always loved that. Over all it was a great experience and I will be back for more classes!

My spouse, a few close friends, and I spent about two hours learning the basics of sushi preparation under Chef Don's expert guidance--and we loved every minute of it! Chef Don struck the perfect balance of professionalism and laid-back charm. He created a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that made everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their skill level. His instructions were clear, easy to follow, and he made sure everyone was engaged and having fun. We learned to make several classic rolls ourselves, and it was so satisfying to enjoy something delicious that we had just created. One of our favorite parts of the night was getting to torch our own sushi rolls--yes, with actual fire! It added such a fun, interactive twist to the experience and made us feel like real sushi chefs for a moment. Chef Don is clearly well-respected throughout Southern Riverside and San Diego County, and it's easy to see why. His passion for sushi and teaching really shines through, and his reputation as a top-tier chef and instructor is well deserved. If you're looking for a fun, unique night out with friends or family--especially if you're a sushi lover--this experience is a must. Highly recommend Chef Don's class to anyone looking to roll up their sleeves and try something new!
