If I could give a 10-star review, this would be it. I decided to hire Randy at Oregon Brick after…read morereading his customer reviews and seeing the photos of his work. As you can see from the "before" picture of our project, it was pretty much a blank canvas at the start. We knew kind of what we wanted, but that's about it. I enjoyed working with Randy from the start. Communication is the KEY to success on projects and I commend him for his emails and texts. I knew when he was going to arrive and when there were any issues. He was so incredibly patient with us as well, as we were deciding some of the materials as the job was progressing. He and his team were consummate professionals from start to finish. The photos not posted, of the very, very wet and cold days would show the tented areas and the mud. I felt like I wanted to apologize every day. There were a couple changes I made mid-project and Randy was awesome about just making it happen - and quickly! I'm not sure I've seen someone work harder and have such talent in their craft. He knew things only decades of experience teach you. In closing, I would just say that anyone I come across that needs any type of stone or masonry work done will be getting referred to Oregon Brick. We just could not be more pleased with every aspect of this project. Again - thank you Randy and crew!!

(Paste into your browser if it won't get clicky.) If you compare that picture to the pictures below, and you'll see that they didn't come close to giving me what I'd asked for. And no, they didn't tell me they couldn't meet my expectations when I sent that Email. I still have their Emailed response -- "It's beautiful!" Yes, what I wanted was. What I got wasn't. Do you see the close-up of that fireplace? One of the fake rocks had been given one last smear with three fingers when it had begun to harden. They used that piece on the front of the fireplace hearth. Unbelievable, but true. Then they wouldn't fix it. They said there were "variations" in real rock. But this is manufactured rock, so they could have gotten the colors and shapes right -- and culled out the pieces of low quality. I could give you other examples of problems with communications and quality. I chose this example because I'd even given them a PICTURE and they didn't get it right. Not only that, but the quality is appalling. And this, as the centerpiece of a house that cost over $300,000! No, I can't recommend them.

During the winter of 2022-23, we hired Rod Cook of 2 Rivers Construction Services to build a few,…read moresmall outdoor projects at our King City, Oregon home. Included were a 14' section of cedar fence, a 4'x8' fenced enclosure with two gates for trash and recycling bins, and a 4'x9' garden shed with two doors under the eaves. Rod worked carefully to complete quality work in a timely manner for a reasonable cost. He also kept a clean work area and removed trash following the project. We enjoyed working with him and liked the quality and cost of his work, so, this past spring and summer (2023), we hired him again to complete some larger remodeling projects at our home. These mostly revolved around work in a 10'x15' sunroom that had some problems. The work included removal of a large exterior bay window; reinstallation of the primary window in line with the house siding including trim and caulking; demolition of interior paneling, sheetrock, and trim; insulating walls; sheetrocking walls and ceiling; trimming out doors, windows, and floor; adding caulk, texture, and primer; painting walls, ceiling, and trim; laying engineered wood flooring in the sunroom; laying and trimming out LVT flooring in our entryway and closet; and repainting the house's exterior, including several small repair projects prior to painting. Again, Rod completed all of this work carefully and in a quality manner, and he kept his interior and exterior work areas clean, and removed all construction debris. He regularly consulted us when decisions were needed and also provided some valuable suggestions. He has an easy-going personality, is a joy to work with, and a pleasure to have around the house. We would not hesitate to hire him again for future projects of this nature and have already recommended him to others in need of construction or remodeling work.

Rod dug out the old footings and dug down to solid clay then repoured footings for new posts. He did an excellent job with the concrete work and new posts. He also built us some new fence with a gate. All of this he painted, providing a perfectly finished project. All of his work was meticulously done with great care for our property. Solutions to issues that arose, he imaginatively addressed. We are looking forward to having Rod do some more work for us in the near future. We feel that we got excellent value for our investment with 2 Rivers Construction Services.
