You can see the care they put into these sandwiches. They dont throw on the toppings and hand you a mess. They actually take their time to build a sandwich that is balanced and delicious. I always get the Beach Boy, but the other sandwiches look great as well. I tired the pickel for the first time today. It was almost as big as my sandwich lol, and was juicy and delicious. If you head to this location, it's easier to park on the side of the road. Parking in front of the building is limited and can be a challenge to get out. I am currently addicted to the Sublime sandwich- burrata, prosciutto, hot soppresata, arugula, sun dried tomato, pesto and garlic aioli - but I sub fresh tomatoes for the sun dried and do no pesto due to allergy. Anyway, it's extremely flavorful and all the ingredients taste high quality and fresh (especially the ciabatta it's on). Have had a few others but this is my favorite. They're also very accommodating about substitutions in general. Prices are reasonable and the sandwiches can easily stretch to two meals. I didn't order off of the menu, I'm a picky eater so I just ordered a basic Turkey sandwich with fresh mozzarella & avocado on sourdough, OMG, I didn't realize that it would be a FRESH sourdough ROLL! I was really disappointed with this sandwich. As soon as I got home and opened it, the bread was already falling apart and crumbling in my hands (see attached photos). For the price and the reputation this place has, I expected much better quality and care in preparation. It's frustrating and honestly embarrassing that a sandwich in this condition would be served to a customer. Bread that doesn't hold together makes the whole meal unenjoyable, no matter what the fillings are. It shows a lack of attention to detail and quality control in the kitchen. This shop was on Yelp's "Best Sandwich in Every State" Collection representing Montana, so I absolutely wanted to visit when we were visiting Missoula. I completely understand why it won! All of the sandwiches have unique spreads or chutneys, combined with elevated deli meats and fresh produce, all on delicious bread. (And a big high-five for all the cute sandwich names, all after rock bands.) I ordered the Queen, which had turkey, bacon, a deliciously THICK slice of fresh mozzarella, walnut pesto, arugula and tomato. I loved it! There was a perfect combination of salty (turkey and bacon) and slightly sweet (the walnut pesto) that all tasted so delicious with the mozzarella. There's no inside seating, and only a couple of tables out front, but there's a really cute park nearby with a couple of picnic tables and lots of shade. And bonus: A lot of the spreads and chutneys are available for sale at the shop -- along with bottles of wine -- that would make a nice charcuterie board for yourself or gift basket for someone else. read more

I rolled through Missoula on a quick 25 hour trip to see Billy MF Strings play and to harass the local trout on the Clark Fork. Guys! I'm back in Missoula and this was on my list of places I had to revisit! This time I brought my kids and I ordered three sandwiches two of which I didn't try last time. Beach Boy is a must and a favorite again this time.
