This was my first time ever at this particular farmers market and I was surprised when I pulled up…read moreto see so many tents!! I decided to track my steps and it was actually a quarter mile in an oval shape. One and they had an information booth as well as a live band, at the other oval end they had some volunteers making/designing your own reusable bag- such a cute way to give back to the community. Apparently this farmers market is going plastic free soon! All defenders seem to have their own price margins and one vendor was selling each bundle of herbs for a dollar. Sadly, she was all out of basil, but had a bunch of mint, lemon leaves, and tarragon or some other parsley type leaf that I've smelled before, but never have tried to cook with. Most thunders had prices by the pound, some vendors had pre-bagged vegetables for five dollars. I've been to the San Jose farmers market and they have basically the same vendors, but their bags are three dollars a bag instead of five. A handful of the vendors here did state they were California certified Organic or USDA Organic, but it didn't seem like they washed their fruit off after they picked it. Lol just interesting to me on the presentation since their root vegetables had mud on them. I'm sure they taste good but presentation means a lot to me. Hee Nevertheless, I bought a handful of different vegetables and this delicious onion bread from a local Italian gentleman who actually makes pesto without nuts so that he's not free bakery and he can cater to those people with nut allergies!! It's a local vendor, so please check them out! I wouldn't mind checking out this farmers market again, but I'll probably go just before closing since I know they give better discounts then 10 o'clock on a Sunday morning. Hee

Some produce you're better off getting at a local Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. Not cool with the AI art becoming more prevalent, since I got to the Farmer's Market to be grounded. I do enjoy the atmosphere and level of business throughout the four hours the market is open. Would appreciate a few more vendors for competition and activities. I also understand the economy is not where it's supposed to be, which affects agriculture. Would not recommend spending in bulk for the average consumer with a 9-5 job. I always keep in mind that this is Walnut Creek and I prefer my money in my pockets for rent and the rest of that good stuff. Would not go if I had to drive to the location or try to find parking. Overall, everything is really quality. I ate the fudge I got from there and it will last me a week for $20 and takes place of the sweets I enjoy with my lunch at work, so it works; I wish there was more flavors, but I am appreciative. I got some sweet potatoes and that was really amazing!!! Used those sweet potatoes with some chili I made and sprinkled some cheese on top, heaven! Bough some garlic rosemary olive oil, now all my food takes me to flavor town no matter what. Used the Peach and Strawberry jelly I bought for sandwiches this week, delicious! The produce is amazing and there is good vibes. Everybody is friendly and high-spirited; they make me feel appreciated even though I do not particularly I dress very casually on Sunday mornings. 4.3/5

Now this is how all Sunday farmer's markets should be operated here in the Bay Area…read more I got to experience Mountain View's version and was so impressed by its offerings. There were so many local vendors from all across the South Bay, Monterey, and Salinas areas selling fresh fruits and vegetables of all varieties. So many spots had free samples of their fruits which was my favorite part. As one person kept shouting, "you get more samples here than Costco!" and they weren't kidding. After all the organic goods, there was a great selection of bakeries and food trucks also selling different items from Chinese dumplings to Mediterranean spreads. I was happy to see so many vegan friendly options too from my walk throughout the market. We were even gifted with live music from a guitarist. Even during its peak times, there wasn't a huge crowd that prevented you from moving back and forth between the shops. I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes and look forward to stopping by again.

We had to drive around a bit to find a spot but it didn't take long.(All the spots seem to be for compact cars,it's really tight parking) This market has a nice mix of produce and food. Also plenty of made food. I saw at least 3 fresh meat and fish vendors. Also some unique specific vendors,(mushrooms ,olives, heirloom tomatoes) We got there around 1130am so it was pretty crowded. Walking around everyone was fine. Lots of rude people trying to find parking.

If you like them sweet, get the orange yellow ones. They are sweeter than the red ones normally. They also have different products like cheese, eggs, nuts and local honey. If you like kombucha, try boochman. They have interesting flavors. If you like burgers try Hawaiian burger place that also sell BBQ chicken. Their chicken is pretty good I like them a lot but they also give you a lot of rice too so I can't finish half of it normally. But then they have Indian curry place that's in front of the chicken place so get the curry to go and I have that with the left over rice later. Every Sunday 9am to 1pm. Plenty of free parking but they get busy so get there early like right before 9. Or come very late so that you might get leftover didn't sell stuff for free or cheap. Check out the bread place when they are closing up. You might get some bread or pies that they didn't sell. Music, singing and dancing going on in the afternoon and get really crowded so I would go there first thing in the morning.

Will admit, it is a bit smaller than some of the others, but they pack in a good crowd. There are restaurants and shops in along the street... so you can dip in to one of them while strolling the market. It is very clean ALTHOUGH, they have signs that say "no dogs allowed", but people bring their dogs anyway. I have grandpups and would love to bring them - but I follow the rules. I think it is rude to ignore the rules especially when it comes to food safety. Would I go back - Yes, cuz I love it... but if the pet thing starts to get out of hand.... I may have to switch to a different one.

It's a bit smaller than some other markets I've visited, but they have everything you need here. Some of my favorite vendors include: Orange Elaichi: This is my go-to spot when I'm at the market. The owner, Janki, is so kind and always remembers me, which I really appreciate. Every vegan option they have is delicious, but my favorites are the Tadka Focaccia, Rose Pistachio and Saffron Orange bundt cakes, and Orange Cranberry Muffins. Hernandez Nursery: They always have the most beautiful plants at great prices. I've bought so many plants from them, and their son has even helped me load them into my car. I highly recommend stopping by their booth. Brother's products S.F. has the best hummus. I always make sure to stop by for the Habanero Hummus, but I've been trying more flavors lately. Their garlic sauces and olive tapenade are also really good. Although I can't eat the flavored labneh, my mom has tried it and loves it. Dumpling King: I love that they have vegan dim sum options clearly labeled. My favorite items are the Green Veggie Bun. I also like the Vegan Siu Mai and Scallion Pancake. I love the organic raspberries at Gomez Berry Farm and organic strawberries at Gonzalez Farm. I tried the tea at Chafolio today because the young man working the booth was super kind. I ended up buying rose hibiscus, and I'm excited to brew it. I can't remember the name of the vendor with the musubi and smoothies, but their Tofu Musubi is so delish, the tofu is very flavorful, and the rice is the perfect texture. Plus, the fruit smoothies are all fruit, so there's no need to worry about dairy or fillers. I'm sure I'm missing someone, but overall, there are so many wonderful produce options and other great vendors. I highly recommend spending part of your Sunday here!
