It's a very busy farmers market. Very crowded. The market is a decent size with flowers, produce, meat, cheese, bakeries and food booths. I notice there is maybe one coffee booth. There is no arts and craft seller or local artists. Mainly food and plants~ The market goes in a loop. So it's very easy to navigate. I eventually settled for a shrimp egg and chive pocket at one booth. I also got a chocolate croissant and a ham and cheese croissant at Midwife and the Baker booth. There are tented areas to sit and eat your food I love that. The vibe is very busy and that is just a lot of people. It can be very overwhelming but worth exploring!

This is a wonderful Sunday market. Open 9am to 1pm Sundays, rain or shine. There are probably 50+ different vendors. -- The standout for me is the dried apricot stand... the gal was super friendly! We are coming back often to get more of their dried apricots which is absolutely delicious. --The tamale stand offers wonderful samples and the tamales are tasty --The fresh corn vendor has a well deserved long line because it is very good corn! -- The pies at Beckman's are delicious. It is not sugary and it is loaded with fruit. -- the mushroom stand offers so many unique mushrooms and reasonably priced. It's a gem in the market. All the fruit stands offer so many samples. There is one veggie stand that has wonderful produce and they are priced lower than the rest... we bought our veggies from there. It's like a scavenger hunt. All the pasties look wonderful! We also bought the rotisserie chicken and ribs. The chicken was better than the ribs, but both were great to try. Parking located around the neighborhood. Friendly and good service. Casual farmers market vibes. Please come and create your own experience.

Weather was great today to walk around the Mtn View Farmers' Market. One of my favorites is the shrimp nachos or oysters at La Marea of the Sea. It's nice to see what all the vendors have and check prices because it varies. I still have an African mint growing in my backyard that I bought here a few years ago. It can get crowded and some people seem to be in a rush. Today's new and different item was a regular croissant at Adorable Bakery. I had a craving for a fresh buttery pastry. I should have taken a better look at their croissants first. This was not your typical flaky croissant. It tasted and looked like one of the first croissants that I ever made. I was lucky my family loved them. This one brought back some good memories .

Decent Farmers Market with plenty of food choices and fresh produce. I tried veg samosa and chicken shittake Mandu. The Chicken Shittake Mandu had a harder, less fluffy breading than expected. Veggie Samosa had a surprisingly starchy filling: potato mashed with peas carrots and spices. Liked the crunchy outer breading and there is a spicy kick at the end. Many families and friends out and about to the extent parking can be difficult but there is a parking lot structure which is not too bad of walk from the actual market.

This is the first time my wife and I came to this Farmers Market. Wow, it was crowded, but not too bad. A lot of vendors, produce, live music, hot food, everything you would want at a Farmers Market. The bakeries caught my wife's attention like Acme Bakery, The Midwife and the Baker, etc. The fruit samples I got from.one of the local farmers had very sweet Asian apple pears, oranges, blood orange. We'll be back.

Definitely one of the bigger farmers' markets in the Bay Area! The Mountain View Farmers' Market is open all year round on Sundays, rain or shine. It's very crowded (especially during the warmer months) and finding parking can be a huge challenge. I would recommend arriving right when they open at 9AM, but sometimes not all the vendors are there yet. The market has a good selection of produce, flowers, cheese, meet, prepared foods, wine, etc. They also usually have a live music performer. Some of the vendors do accept credit cards, but generally charge a bit more than if you pay with cash. I've gotten coffee at the market, but it's really nothing special. My favorite vendors are the Roti stand, which is so generous with their free samples, and sells tasty stuffed roti and various dips. The bakery vendors are also fantastic, and I enjoyed the Pizza from Little Sky Kitchen and the Lasagna from Adorable French Bakery. The market sadly does not allow dogs. Overall though, worth a visit!

This is one of the better farmers' markets in the bay area. I visited this past Sunday, and they had beautiful colorful flower stands, live music, wine tents selling bottles, the typical offerings for fresh produce and fruits (including strawberries galore... yum!!), and A LOT of hot food stands selling tantalizing treats like dumplings, seafood tacos, and hot chocolate. I ended up grabbing some baked goods from Adorable French Bakery which made for a filling snack. The crowds here were not overbearing, though the vendors do seem to keep busy. Friendly environment, however not for pets (according to the sign). There are plenty of parking lots along Hope Street, as well as free street parking nearby, which will still be convenient when the MV Farmers' Market relocates to their new location several blocks away (closer to Pioneer Park) starting in October.

Long line for Little Sky Bakery so might try them next time instead of my usual Acme

I used to frequent this market pre Covid and in the last two years have started coming back. I usually arrive between 9-9:30 and can find parking in the nearby city lots or street instead of dealing with the congested station parking lot. Some of our favorite stands here that we pretty much get something each visit include Acme, the Chinese dumpling place, and laundromat bagel. The produce is a bit pricier than other markets but we found the most delicious English peas and okra there recently. We tend to only pick one fruit to get a few of but each time they have been tasty be it the berries or now the nectarines. We still like paying in cash but many vendors have other payment options. It does get a tad crowded by the time we leave (usually 10). I do have to keep an eye out for strollers and bikes as sometimes people meander without paying attention.

I love farmer markets in general, and this one is my favorite down in the general San Jose area. Second only to the San Francisco Farmers market at the Pier 1 terminal building. They have plenty of options to choose from, excellent French pastries, great Russian food choices such as blintzes and peroshki, fresh pastas, wine, olives and nuts, cheeses, tons of great produce, and one of my favorite chocolate suppliers - Bisous Chocolates. Make sure you taste the free samples of fruit that you will find, with blood orange as a great treat. The thick hot chocolate that Bisous sells is always a treat, as are their dark chocolate coated lemon and orange peels. There is an excellent choice of pastries to choose from the French pastry booth, you can grab one and bring it to a nearby coffee shop, such as Red Rock Coffee - just a couple of blocks away. They almost always have musicians playing, most of the good ones with CDs to sell, usually located right next to the wine tasting booth - perfect to grab a glass of wine and listen to the music. I've only touched on the highlights, there is plenty to choose from and I recommend you go and see for yourself...

At last we were very excited to go back to Mountain View Farmer's Market after 2 yrs . We love going to different Farmers Market all over from SFO to Danville but Mountain View still remains our favorite , I think we love it so much due to fact that it's still close to our place plus the variety of fresh vegetables & fruits are more here .... having said that we also love SFO Ferry Plaza & Alemany Farmers Market too!!! We came here pretty early but the market opens @ 8.30 am on Sunday so had to wait patiently for all the stalls to be open that was the hardest part of us.... We first strolled around the market checking all the vendors booth produce , fresh Heirloom Tomatoes, Strawberries, Nectarines, Peaches , Plums , Beans , Swiss Chard, Peas , Mushrooms, local Honey etc.... I can just go on & on ... u need to come down & check for yourself I bet you will not be disappointed with this market. So happy to see the fresh organic fruits passing by the market & tasting the fresh fruit sample given by all the vendors we fell in love with the plums & nectarines it was too good to resist so bought some for us. As we were buying our produce one of the booth caught our eye the vendor was selling fresh mulberry fruits this was first for us so we stopped & tasted it there were 2 different types.... Baam !!!! Our whole world changed.... I swear we have never ever eaten fresh mulberry fruit in our entire life & this was sweet as honey My God !!!! Can't believe we missed on such an amazing experience.... instantly we decided to buy it was 3 for 20$. This thrill was just like a treasure hunting for us !!!! Then we bought some Tamales again he had various choices like Chicken, beans, eggplant, cheese & Chilli etc I bought 3 for 25$ each pack has 2 medium size Tamales. I can't resist Tamales!! It's one of my favorite. There were many food vendors selling fresh Bread, pastries, Biscotti, Bolani, dumplings, Taco Empanadas etc... speaking about Empanadas we bought some from the vendor Out Law Kitchen we bought chicken , Artichoke mushroom & a Birra Taco we ate it there itself pipping hot all were amazing !!!! Then on our way back we bought some more to have it at home later... All the vendors are very friendly here , we have our regular vendors whom we missed chatting for past 2 yrs so we were very happy to talk to them . We do believe all the Farmers Market are very unique that's the beauty of it & get to know about the local vendors do talk to them they will love to give you any information u want regarding their produce. Our treasure find for the day was fresh mulberry fruit & empanadas!!! Hope u too get to find ur own treasures in the market & have a fun experience buying it. Go check it out .

I hadn't visited the Mountain View Farmers' Market since the early pandemic days, so I made the trip out again since I happened to be there on a Sunday! Plenty of fresh produce stands, food stalls (bakeries, oysters, tacos, etc!), flower stands, and much more! I was beyond impressed by the variety of everything that was offered here. The way the farmers market is organized makes it easy to breeze through it all in a nice U so you could easily check out everything. For those wanting to eat at the market, there's a very very limited about of tables where you could seat yourself too. Pro tips: never skip out on a sample!!

The Mountain View farmers market is one of the most fun and crowded ones I've been to in the South Bay! There were so many vendors selling everything from fruits and veggies to cheeses, meats, and baked goods. The organization made sense, with the ready to eat food (naan, curries, pizzas, oysters etc) along one side. I only saw about 4-6 tables though so not easy to find a place to eat. It was very crowded but still kid and pet friendly. Parking was relatively easy with free street parking along the residential areas, with roughly a 5-10 minute walk. Many of the desirable bakery items such as from Acme bread were long gone by mid morning. The fruits can be very pricey as well, even more than Whole Foods. If you're looking for an affordable farmers market, this isn't it. For example, the De Anza college farmer's market is much more affordable.

Ask the Community - Mountain View Farmers’ Market

Is it open on Thursday evenings during the summer?

The Mountain View Farmers' Market is open on Sundays, 9am-1pm, year-round, rain or shine! It is not held on Thursday evenings in the summer. See you this weekend!

Are leashed dogs allowed at the market?

Hi there, thanks for asking. California Health & Safety Code 114259.5 states that live animals aren’t allowed in certified farmers markets and permitted food facilities, with the exception of service animals.

Do they still have the fresh caught King Salmon from western Canada?

Hi Mary, for the quickest response please email our team at cafarmersmkts@gmail.com and we'll be happy to have a Market Manager reach out to you with answers to specific questions on vendor offerings. Thanks so much for supporting the market!

Is Apricot king at the market?

I suggest email the Mountain View farmers market, it shoukd be on the bottom of the website. I’ve emailed and they usually reply in less than 7 days.

Does anyone know the name of the farm of the fruit stand with the red checkers tablecloth? The workers are very vocal and offer fruit all the time? Wondering where they moved to. I haven't seen them in weeks.

    Open when it rains?

Yes! The market is open rain or shine!

Is the honey booth still there? What is their name or how can I easily find them? I just want to…

I was just there last night and yes, Thursday Farmer's Market has the honey stand.

Is payment still cash during the time?

    Are they open today (Easter)?

    Yes

Are there any restrooms there or nearby?

If at the train station location, there is often a honey hut available.
