Dependable and my go-to movie theater since it's the closest one in OKC (the city/metro area) and has the latest movies and is also conveniently located in Bricktown. They have a membership you can join that gives you discounts on tickets and concession stand items. Their snacks are also good although they used to have some nice menu offerings like the chicken nuggets (but have tenders now). Certainly recommended! read more

I haven't been here in years. Actually it's been since the very beginning when they opened theater! Everything was new and fresh. Well now it's different. The theater is clean the workers are nice but the seating is the old soft cushions and the leg room is lacking. It doesn't smell fresh and the theater is packed tonight. It's been awhile since I've sat this close to others. I don't know if this will be my first choice. Theater 6 is small and for a screening you'd think a larger spot would be in order. read more

Finally went back to the theatre after COVID. And to be honest back to Harkins after my teen years. Back in the day (as if I'm old enough to be saying this) Harkins was the spot. You would walk around Bricktown with your friends and eventually end up at the movies. I recently visited to watch the Minion movie, yes it deserves the hype. I took my little sister along for the ride and was excited to be back in the movies. I will say after everything going on in our country I give this place three stars for security. We had bags on us and they weren't checked. This is my paranoid mind. I ordered our tickets online which was great to skip the lines outside. We were directed by friendly staff to our room. We did make a stop at the concession stand which seemed busy. Concession prices have definitely gone up since the last time I was here. I'm not to sure if it's because I am no longer a teen but the facilities did not seem as clean either. After ordering some popcorn and drinks we headed to the butter station and finally our movie. The movie room was fairly full, I do love that we are now able to choose our seats and stick to that. Gone are the days of random seating. To our luck there were some kids in our seat who did move once asked. (am I Karen now?) I did know coming into this movie that there would be some trolls and of course there were some hooting and hollering from those under 18 in the minion movie. For that, I do need to take a star. Movie goers be warned of the noisy teens. We did have a great time and left safely. I do enjoy Harkins being in the center of the city and do welcome the return of movie theatres. read more

It's so nice that the Okc area has several nice movie theaters. I don't go to movies as often as I used to but it's still nice to see certain movies in theaters before they come out on DVD. I just wish theaters in general would lower their prices of admission or bring back more reward programs. I went to see the last installment of the hobbit here and it was great. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, comfy seats, a great picture and surround sound. I love it's convenient location downtown. It's so nice to be able to just leave the theatre and enjoy the night life downtown. It would be nice if there was parking or at least more parking for the theatre movie-going patrons. Watched the new Thor movie while in town and loved it!! The staff was great, and the only reason why I have to give them a 4 is two reasons...no AC when you walk in and the popcorn was too salty! Other than that this movie theater was great!! I would definitely recommend purchasing your tickets online...spend the extra $$ for the convenience fee to skip that huge line outside! Student discounts are available most any time. $7.00 for the 8:00 pm showing of Godzilla. That's pretty nifty. Otherwise it's $9.00, which is still not terrible. Beyond that (and a location that allows friends from all parts of Greater OKC to meet somewhere in the middle) I can't think of much that makes Harkins Bricktown special. Sure, the picture and sound quality is above-par. I can't find anything to complain about as far as those aspects are concerned. The Dolby Digital ATMOS whatever sound nonsense thing is nice, I guess. But the parking situation is ridiculous at times. My friends and I have had to occasionally park at Bass Pro Shop because there was nothing closer. This seems to be the norm since Kd's opened. The seats aren't particularly comfortable, and the ability to sort of rock myself (a little) doesn't do much to add to my comfort. I may be spoiled though after frequenting Warren and AMC Penn Square. Honestly, when considering the drive, the parking, and the "meh" seats, I'm not sure it's worth the discount. I've occasionally chosen to watch something alone at AMC Penn Square than meet up with friends at Harkins Bricktown. But this review isn't about my increasingly asocial tendencies... This would be a five star review; however, I was a bit disappointed Harkins Theatres' first venture in Oklahoma did not feature an IMAX-3D theater screen. Such special venue style movie theaters have been popular lately with high profile movie theater locations. Also, when Edwards Theaters was originally planning a Bricktown cinema the idea of an IMAX-3D theater was floating around in the rumor mill. Harkins Theaters of Arizona picked up the ball once the Edwards deal collapsed. Aside from the lack of IMAX capability, this is a pretty cool movie theater. A very nice addition along the Bricktown Canal. The lobby is big and features a large concessions counter. A full size movie screen is mounted above the counter. Movie trailers are shown on that screen via a full 35mm film projector and platter setup mounted above the box office. I've never seen a theater do that before. One could almost call the theater the "Bricktown 17" over that move. There's even surround sound speakers mounted along the walls in the lobby. The "Cine Capris" theater is the showcase room of the Bricktown 16. All theaters are stadium seated and equipped with digital surround sound (all Dolby Digital I think). But the Cine Capris features a huge 30' tall by 70' wide screen and around 600 or so seats. I watched "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" there with some friends. The sound system kicked pretty well. Good amount of deep bass. And that's a noticeable difference compared to a lot of theaters lately. Many digital surround equipped theaters have let their EQ fall out of whack and gotten weak on the sub-bass (probably from blown speaker drivers not being replaced). Projection in the Cine Capris is just a tad bit dim. But that's about the best one can do with 35mm thrown onto a huge screen that really should use 70mm prints. Digital projection is another this theater lacks. But "D-Cinema" is really an unproven commodity compared next to "film done right." Right now, this theater is arguably the best place in OKC to see a movie. But that could change when the new all-THX 20-plex from Warren Theaters opens in Moore later in 2006. read more

Just entering the Cine Capri. Dirty and worn carpets. Gold drapery doesn't add to much to the impressiveness. As someone was going down the stairs I was thumping in my seat. My impression was that it wasn't built to solid. Sound seams pretty good. Picture is sharp. I like that they will layer your popcorn with butter. Not all theaters do this or charge extra. Will I be back? Yes, because I frequent all the movie theaters but this one is not my top choice. read more

This theater has its ups and downs. Some of the theaters smell moldy and the chairs feel damp. Others are amazing and you get to have the best movie experience. They check tickets before you get to purchase popcorn and snacks. The prices are pretty fair. The parking gets tricky because during games or events, you might end up having to pay for parking because it is in Bricktown. The area overall is nice to eat dinner and walk over to watch a movie or even enjoy a movie and end up getting ice cream afterwards. read more

Prices are a little high, even for matinees, but it is probably due to being located in Bricktown. Some of the theatres are smaller than others, especially for older movies. read more

Each time I attend here I'm pleasantly surprised. The staff is extremely friendly and the number of screens and sizes of the theaters inside is pretty awesome. The only downside is finding parking but that's not their fault. It's just a circumstance of being downtown. I hear they're getting ready to renovate and add a cocktail area too so this will bring this theater in line with the more boutique theaters. read more

Service was really helpful -- went to go see a special showing and didn't realize how short the trailers would be. We had missed a good 5 minutes of the film, so I wanted to exchange tickets for a later showing. I love how clean this theater is. They have the best customer service, if there is any issue at all, they are quick to fix it (typically with tickets or vouchers). My favorite part is their loyalty program, we buy a yearly tee and get free popcorn, and the 1.50 cokes. If I could give less stars I would... this theater is so poorly managed. They don't have any management available to talk to customers when issues arise. When you finally talk to them about an issue they tell you they can't do anything about it, too bad. Spent almost $40 in their arcade and never won a single prize and their claw machines wouldn't even budge the prize. I understand that there is such a thing as a payout and you don't always win. But at some point the game should pay out and their stuffed animals are not worth 20$+. We missed the first 20 minutes of the movie because the management was on "brake" and couldn't take the time to talk. They can't fix anything in their own building. Who has games but can't even fix them or even refund the money. read more

Until we get an Alamo Draft House, this is where we usually end up for movies - I think this is a great little theatre. Harkins will occasionally get an independent film that no one else in OKC would go out on a limb for, so I really appreciate them for that. The theatre is clean, the seats are in good shape and comfortable, the sound and picture quality is good, and I've never been there when they've had a major malfunction (which is more that I can say for Windsor or Tinseltown). They do about 180% better job at keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked than AMC Quail. Staff, concessions, prices: all standard for chain theaters. No surprises here. Their website, box office, ticket kiosks, etc., are up-to-date. A lot less scary than the Warren website (can someone please explain to me why it looks as though it was actually made ten years before the theater was built? Makes me want to send a Braum's e-card and make you a banner on Print Shop.) Parking: It's Bricktown, depends on the day. I can usually find some open parking near the theatre. There is some closed parking around lower Bricktown but they do validate. Bricktown Parking Rant: Part of the reason you go to Bricktown is to experience a density of fun and activity that intrinsically creates a lack of convenient parking, so I check out when people complain about parking in BT. If you want to hang out a big parking lot, go for it. I think there's a Chili's there. But if you want to be able to walk between dozens of restaurants and activities, you're not going to be able to park eight yards from the front door. Let's go back to 2004, when Harkin's Brickton 16 was the top, the crème de la crème of movie theaters in Oklahoma City. Do you remember our excitement? Our glee? The beginning of The Renaissance of downtown, and the first non-drive up Sonic that most of us had ever seen? There was a river! Running through our downtown! We could have dreamed so big! Maybe we would even have a professional baseball, or basketball team! Did we throw it all away? Harkins used to be the place I wanted to view Harry Potter movies for the first time. Harkins used to be the place that I wanted my high school boyfriend to take me to. Harkins used to be the first and only attraction in that little downtown pocket across from the ballpark. Last night I revisited Harkins. I'm not a HUGE movie-goer, (I've only seen 3 in theaters this year, don't ask me which ones :/) but I figured since it was a new release (The Conjuring - which is a huge box of NOPE but all and all is a great movie) we could buy our tickets online and then have a nice night in Bricktown. We got to our 8:15 showing around 8pm. We picked up our popcorn and went into the theatre were we noticed that there were no seats together and the only ones available were the seats in the front row, which if you are human at all you know that watching a movie from the first 4 rows is like the 10th circle of hell. There were TONS of teenagers and KIDS in the movie as well so we decided to exchange our tickets for the later showing. We did this without incident (the manager seemed a bit perturbed, declaring "WELL THIS MIGHT TAKE AWHILE" and then handed us our tickets like, 2 minutes later) and decided to sit in the stand alone Sonic for 2 hours until the next showing. The theatre was hot, and messy, and seemed to be way too crowded. Harkins just seemed run down. It wasn't the new bright and shiny theatre that we knew in our hearts. I would have rather gone to Tinseltown and paid $4 less. I even feel like Tinseltown was a nicer theatre compared to this one. I just don't think going to a movie on a Friday night is a good idea anymore. There's way too many pre-teens for my liking and I'd rather have a bunch of adults in a theatre than a bunch of kids (omg am I getting old?) Now there's so much more to do in Bricktown, I'd rather catch a Redhawks game or hang out in JJ's Aley for awhile than see a movie at Harkins. read more

This is between a 3 and 4 star review, but not a full 4 star review. Harkins has a great location, just south of Bricktown. It's near a lot of restaurants and bars, so it's got that going for it. Like all of the Bricktown area businesses, parking is an issue. You're likely going to pay if you go during peak hours, and if you aren't willing to pay, you're going to have to get really lucky or walk a bit. There just isn't much near the theater, and certainly not enough parking to allow for enough people that go to a 16 theater movie theater. I would recommend arriving early, even if you plan on paying for parking near the theater, to allow yourself enough time to search for a spot if necessary. The concession stand is typical, but there are a lot of registers, so even during really busy hours you shouldn't have too bad of a wait. The theaters themselves are large and I've found them to be clean. The entire facility is really clean in fact, I would say cleaner than your average large metroplex. The chairs aren't as comfortable as other theaters nearby (notably, the Warren in Moore). It's harder to relax and enjoy the movie. They're not uncomfortable, but there are also much better options in the metro area. There is plenty of legroom. One thing that's nice about Harkins is in addition to the standard Hollywood releases, they show a lot of classic movies on a fairly regular basis. I will see a movie at Harkins in the future, but if I had my preference, it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

I consider those dirty dollar theatres to be 1 star establishments and the Warren theatre to be a 5 star establishment, so I think that you can see why I'm content with giving Harkins 3 stars. It's a nice, well-ran theatre, with a friendly staff and a decent selection of movies... One of the biggest selling points for me about Harkins is that they honor a school ID with a discount on movie tickets. I really like this theatre, I just can't hardly handle the walk with my walker. We have to park quite a bit away for free parking and the walk for me is awful. But! while walking down by the river walk you can enjoy the ducks swimming along peacefully or the tour on the boats with people waving. The walk above by the street you get to see the color changing fountain, lots of eateries and some amateur singers, mimes, musicians etc. Then over the bridge to the theatre. We usually use the machine to purchase our tickets or buy them online to bypass the ticket counter. Inside is very spacious and clean, where you can walk right up and order your treats for the movie. The have plenty of different theatre rooms. The seats are comfortable and they have clear screens and great audio. I like coming here it's just such a long walk that I have trouble with, if they could fix that for the disabled that would help a lot and they'd definitely make more money too. read more

Saw Spider-Man No away Home. Debated on the Cine Capri option here or IMAX elsewhere, but decided on here due to availability. The movie was enjoyable, but nothing like imax (my own fault) and the theatre was unbearably hot after a day of being full I'd assume. No airflow in covid times made me feel a bit paranoid. Snacks were ungodly expensive as well. read more
