Pretty cool hobby shop for tabletop games like Warhammer 40k and DnD. There is a variety of minis and tables with snacks and drinks. Paints and brushes available and also tables with active games going on. Place has a private side lot forbparking and the entrance is around the back. Customer service is friendly but sadly didn't have what I needed. Still a cool spot if you are into tabletop gaming. Worth a stop! read more

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill the moment I walked in. One employee immediately gave me a harsh look and stared at me from across the room. I didn't even realize he worked there at first, so I tried to move out of his line of sight. Another employee eventually approached me, and I explained that it was my first visit and I wanted to look around before asking questions. He was friendly and helpful -- I honestly wish he had been the one assisting me the whole time. Instead, the first employee eventually came over and asked if I needed anything, but his tone and body language made me feel unwelcome, as if he wanted me to leave rather than browse. It took the excitement out of what should have been a fun first visit. Bottom line: the store itself was great, but the attitude from that particular employee made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing.

And, if you don't know, the guys who work there do, and they will make sure you walk away with what you need. We arrived at the Lafayette right when they opened and moving around was just fine. Later on it became very busy and getting from one room to the other was not that easy. We took the shuttle bus to get to the second venue. There was more room there, no narrow corridors. There are lots of vendors so you have a lot of options to find some special Christmas presents. Compared to last year, the number of tasting places was limited. There were several local gin and bourbon tasters, several wineries but the local beers were missing.

That's only a very small list, way more here. There are libations from our locals - Bootleg Boucha, 42 North, Resurgence and more. This is a crowded event, 6 hours only, does have a small entry fee and is totally worth that fee. Fantastic gathering of the best in the area.
