I am a 65-year-old man that suffers from chronic back pain since an accident in 1986 and I place my…read morefaith in modern medicine. I have been administered all of the standard and many non-traditional methods in an effort to alleviate the pain to include: massage therapy, cryo-therapy, heat therapy, hot tubs, CBD salves, yoga, stretching, narcotics, steroid injections in the spine and I have had to deal with the limitations and side effects of each treatment. I have not yet used the treatment of last resort, spinal surgical intervention. During a visit, several years ago with a well-known local orthopedic surgeon, he recommended that I put off the decision for surgery until the "pain is so great that you can no longer take it". On Sunday November 1, 2020, I exacerbated my condition by moving serval pieces of heavy equipment. That night the pain was so intense, I could not sleep. The NSAID's and Vicodin offered literally no relief. Desperate for relief, I had reached that point that I was going to move forward with surgical option. I confided in a friend that I had made the decision and he asked if I have pursued every avenue for relief and if I had ever considered non-traditional method. I listed all the treatment options that I had already tried. He asked if I had ever tried acupuncture? He told me that before I move forward with the surgery that I should try it. He went on to tell me that there was a new Doctor in town that offered both traditional and optional acupuncture treatments. Pikes Peak Integrative Medicine. Since I believed that I had exhausted all the "traditional modern medicine" and many homeopathic options I had nothing to lose by giving it a try. I called the office and left a message. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from nurse Julie and after explaining everything to her she was able to work me into the Doctor's schedule. When I arrived at their office at was greeted by Julie who took me straight back to an exam room and performed all the standard medical checks. Dr. Denam came into the room. My first impression of him was his gentle "bedside" manner, his compassion and genuine concern for my physical wellbeing. I gave him a rundown of my issues and the treatments I had already tried and dismissed. I described, in detail, the sharp burning pain that radiated across my lower back, the knife like stabbing pain in my right butt cheek and the throbbing dull ache in my right calf and the numbness in my foot. He discussed treatment option for me, and WE decided that it would be beneficial for me to try acupuncture. I am not going to tell you that I wasn't nervous. I was! But Dr. Denam's calm, confident and professional demeanor had a calming effect that allowed me to relax during the procedure. During the entire process I was attended by both Dr. Denam and nurse Julie who were both focused entirely on my comfort during the procedure. I want to be absolutely clear; I am a believer in modern medicine. I am not a believer in hocus pocus homeopathic remedies, crystal therapy, and hippie medicine. But I have found out that Acupuncture works for me. During the procedure, I could feel it working. The nerves that were on fire one minute ago was beginning to subside. I mean it felt good. So good in fact that when it was time to end, I asked if I could continue for a few more minute which Dr. Denam allowed. Now the sceptic will look at this review as anecdotal and dismiss it as a psychosomatic reaction to this treatment or alternatively that this is simply a placebo effect. And frankly, that is exactly how I would have read this review. And that is why I waited several days before I committed this review to paper. Here I am several days later, and the pain has completely subsided. I am pain free. So here it is, I recommend Pikes Peak Integrative Medicine for your medical needs. I am so grateful to Dr. Denam and his staff. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! ps.... they accept insurance

I wrote my original review in May 2024 after nearly two years of treatment with Dr. Chien, and I…read morestill stand by everything I said. I recently saw a negative review, and while I respect that everyone's experience is their own, what was described there is very different from what I personally experienced over a long period of care. Dr. Chien is a very sought‑after practitioner, and because of that he is busy with many patients. That has always been normal in his clinic. Bruising can happen with acupuncture, even with excellent technique, and patients generally cannot know whether a needle "missed" a point. As for herbs, Dr. Chien provides custom herbal formulas based on each patient's specific needs, and in traditional Chinese medicine these do not come with Western‑style ingredient labels -- that is standard practice. I'm not here to dismiss anyone's feelings, but I do want readers to know that the negative review paints a picture that does not match the care I received. My long‑term experience with Dr. Chien was consistently positive, transparent, and effective, and I hope this helps provide a fuller and more balanced perspective.

I don't typically leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share the experience I wish I had…read moreknown about before deciding to work with Dr. Chien. My biggest concern was the lack of transparency during the initial consultation. At no point was I informed that, in addition to the acupuncture sessions, I would be expected to purchase herbal tablets. It wasn't until after I had already paid $700 for a package of 10 sessions that Dr. Chien told me the tablets were necessary for treatment, at an additional cost of $150 per week for an unspecified period of time. I purchased the tablets once, but they were provided without any labeling or information about their ingredients. I ultimately had to email Dr. Chien afterward just to find out what I had been given. During my last two acupuncture sessions, the needles missed the intended acupuncture points, leaving me with significant bruising. In addition, Dr. Chien is always in such a hurry treating multiple patients at the same time, it made each appointment feel rushed and left very little opportunity to ask questions or discuss my treatment. Greater transparency about treatment costs and recommendations from the beginning, along with more individualized attention during appointments, would have made for a much better patient experience.

Day 1 vs. Day 23 with Amazing Meds (53 years-old)…read more I moved over to Amazing Meds from a previous provider that had a total lack of knowledge. Carrie and Will are incredibly knowledgeable and clearly love what they do. They will come alongside you as a partner as you create your new self. They have prescribed me the perfect hormone replacement regiment and are always available at the drop of a hat with answers to questions, direction, and encouragement. They're not just about making physical gains and changing your appearance, they are all about getting yourself healthier than you've been in your entire life. I have not seen these kinds of results since I was training for one of my professional boxing matches. If you are ready to take your life back in body, mind and spirit. Go see the wonderful team at at Amazing Meds. I'm talking life-changing stuff. You've got this, but it sure helps having the AM team on your side to make sure you get the absolute most out of your "new you" regiment and training. You WIlL attain your goals and well beyond with amazing meds, I promise you.

For reference, I am a straight married female, so doubling testosterone is NOT a good thing. They did eventually correct it and give me another vial, but the lack of concern or remorse for dosing me incorrectly was unacceptable. Im in california, so luckily these types of places are popping up everywhere, so I switched to local care (a place called game day, but jury is still out with them too so that isn't an endorsement lol). If you're ok with getting prescribed meds then never being able to speak with anyone about them until you schedule another appointment weeks out, then sure, go for it. But if you're like me and would like medical providers to care, look elsewhere. bummed, because they started out so good and just absolutely suck now...
