My dad passed away in December 2022 and Country Meadows was able to quickly find a one bedroom apartment for my mom just down the hall from the first apartment. The staff has always been fantastic! Debbie, Emily and Carol have always been there for support and guidance for our family. There are too many staff members to mention; however, from the kitchen wait staff who deliver meals (even putting mom's ice cream in the freezer) to the director have been so good to our parents. There are many activities and trips for the residents to enjoy. My mother has many friends who come to visit her and have told mom what a nice place Country Meadows is. We also had occasions where the caretaker did not show up or was late and did not always receive advance notice of this being the case beforehand. This presented problems as well. Our Family ended up cancelling the service and eventually using Hospice, which was a great experience. This was a decent service, but really did not meet our needs overall.

Home Instead has done a wonderful job of supplying part-time caregivers for our parents, enabling…read morethem to stay in "independent" housing rather than assisted living. They've been able to respond to emergency requests for additional assistance (like needing overnight care for Mom when Dad is in the hospital). Every caregiver won't be a perfect match for every client, but they will juggle schedules around until a good match is found. You can have preferred "substitutes" as well, but it makes sense that there are times when a caregiver is out sick and you just have to make do with whoever is available. Some have been more efficient and effective than others, but all have been friendly and kind. You can make a consultation appointment to find out more and have your questions answered.
