Harmony Home inspected a Gainesville, GA resale that we are in the process of purchasing. Our first home purchase (a resale) was in 1976 and we have purchased several homes that were both new construction and resales during our 52-year marriage. In every case, we contracted with home inspection firms. Dealing with Harmony Home Inspection Services was amazing. We learned about Harmony House Home Inspection Services from our son who had used their services four years ago. When we contacted them, we had informed them that we had a very short window to get the inspections done. Without any fuss, they scheduled the inspection for only two days later!!!!!! Before the written report was sent to us, the inspector called us personally to provide us with a thorough summary of his inspection. The inspection was very, very thorough and, after reading the report, we realized that this company was not simply inspecting the house and property, but they were actually in the business of PROTECTING OUR INTERESTS !!!!! I am reading a review from Andrew Schlehr of Harmony. He mistakenly thought a bathroom ceiling fan vent was a dryer vent. This was not complicated yet it was completely misread then represented as true to buyers. I pointed out that the vent went into the wall and out the side of the house (communicated through real-estate agents) yet he left it in the reoport. He was so convinced he found lint in the attic, even though nothing with lint has ever vented into the attic. Pixie dust lint?? Then he reported no inside cut off for water. It does not take Lassie to figure out where a water cut off is. I found it 10 minutes after they left, photographed and sent it to the agent and to him by text. Yet it is still in the report. Finding this cutoff should not have required Lassie, it was located in a closet. In my opinion, if you cannot discern a dryer vent and understand how it is vented, then there is a problem. Then, if you cannot locate a cut off and go ahead and report it as not existing, I have a problem with that too. Unfortunately, the certification and amount of training for home inspection is not a high bar. But if one misses glaringly simple items, how would he fare if something were hidden and complicated? Based on my interactions with Harmony, I cannot recommend them. read more

Hank and team at Harmony Home Inspection Services are awesome. We recently had a pre-drywall inspection on our new home being built in Hoschton, and he quickly found where the builder had not finished key electrical and plumbing blocking and installation and called me immediately. We were able to get a delayed re-inspection for the home a week later, and Hank spent the time going over the report so that we were well prepared when talking with the builder to identify those issues that need to be resolved before the drywall gets installed. Thanks to Hank, we feel that our home will be better built and ready for us fully when we move in a few months. read more

Hank and his team have been doing excellent inspections for our buyers since 2005! I see one negative review here from a disgruntled seller where my client chose to exit the transaction after inspection, and for personal reasons. The inspection report was excellent, the information in the report was valid, and the client's choice to not purchase was well within their rights. Hank and his team come HIGHLY recommended!! We had Hank inspect our newly built home this April and they did a wonderful job. The team is not only thorough in their inspection, but they are great at communicating and walking you through what they find throughout the home. They have a Drone, yes a Drone, that they fly above the roof to inspect for loose and/or unaligned shingles and any nail pops that the builders may have overlooked. The final report is outlined beautifully so that you can understand what they have done, what's outside of code, any irregularities with the home, etc. Great job!
