I hired these people to look after my mother. They were supposed to come Wednesday, Friday and…read moreSunday for four hours. On Wednesday, they were supposed to drop her off at her church. I will start with the last incident because it was so serious On the second Wednesday they were supposed to watch her, I got a call saying their caregiver was sick and would have to leave. I was expected to drop everything, rush home and save the situation. It seems to have escaped them to have found a replacement caregiver (such as sending some office staff) Other problems I had: The first caregiver who was supposed to drop my mother off, arrived late without a car making that impossible They sent an email on Friday saying they couldn't provide anyone on Sunday Monday they asked for a meeting. I said when can you be here. They picked Tuesday 10:30 a.m. Ten minutes after they were supposed to be here, they called to say they were running late even though they had picked the time They also claimed my mother, who hasn't watched tv in 12 years, was anxious to get the TV room back in shape Funniest of all, they called to tell me that my refrigerator didn't have a lot of food and maybe I could watch my mother while they went to the grocery store Needless to say, I terminated my relationship with these people

It was a guy that cut my hair, i requested layers and he did a very good job getting rid of all the damaged hair. It the floor looked like deshedding a husky. The second time around, i requested the same haircut, with a little bit of color. The lady taking care of me asked a lot more questions about the hair style and such, but nevertheless it was the same haircut so it looks essentially the same. The color however ended up lighter than i wanted it. However, it looks good. She asked me multiple times if I liked it and I'm sure if i communicated i wanted a darker color she would have accommodated. The lady was a lot more social and asked me about myself, and told me about herself. I think this is a wonderful little mom and pop shop and I'm glad to support it.

Our son served lunch, played games, and monitored the safety of his resident. He gained so much from this experience. I give praises to Elizabeth for her kindness and genuine care of the family members. First Tuesday of the month, a caregivers support group where new information is shared by an expert. I have learned more about Dementia/Alzheimers and left after each meeting feeling more confident with my parents care. Highly recommend Iris memory care.
