The staff is not trained well and will humiliate and make fun of your loved one in vulnerable situations. They have a high rate of "discharges" due to STAFF driven behaviors. They will promise you memory care, or a skilled nursing facility when you loved one needs it and then when you money runs out, you get a discharge notice for whatever reason they deem appropriate. It's a total bait-and-switch. Put simply, the CEO is not a nice person. It's hardly a non-profit. I have experienced 3 1/2 painful years managing my parents while they were there. The entire facility had been upgraded, we still had most of the amazing staff that was there from 2009 and I had the privilege of meeting and working with new employees. We have such an amazing team, nursing staff who truly care for residents like they were family, and a phenomenal rehab team that will make a huge difference in your recovery! When you place your family at a skilled nursing home, whether it be for rehab or for long term care, you should feel like home when you walk in the building. You should see a clean facility with content residents. You should be greeted at the front door with staff who help you with any concerns. I know there are negative reviews out there, but from your first step in to the building you will see the difference. We aren't perfect, but we do learn from our mistakes and we educate to make sure that our residents have the best care possible. The best feeling is when we get to see our residents successfully graduate from our program and walk out of the doors! I might just have caregiving in my blood as my mother was an LPN and my great-aunt an RN. I have worked as an independent contractor caregiver, in AFHs and through agencies and of all the places that I've worked throughout my time as first an NAC and then as a CNA I have to say my favorite has been/is "Home Care Assistance". It's evident from the start that they care about their employees as well as their clients and the managing staff in Liberty Lake are beyond amazing. They all need to be honored and recognized for their hard work; Tia and Amy and Jen and Brandie should all get an award for going above and beyond mere management duties. I wouldn't want to work for any other agency ever. I am really happy that they, and all the clients I've been assigned to so far, really seem to like me because I plan on staying on for as long as they'll have me.
