I wandered in on my way from Oregon to Montana. Ate at the bar and had great service and excellent food. Highly recommend the Sandpoint Scramble, but everything hitting the service window looked great. From cooks I could see to wait staff they were all attentive and bringing the smiles w their work. Highly recommend you head in for a meal and a smile!!

Mary and I stopped in for the first time today; [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place has a worn but comfortable feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by friendly staff and seated. I ordered the Spaghetti and Eggs; Spaghetti noodles sauteed in a light olives oil sauce, with sun-dried tomatoes garlic and red chili flakes. Topped with shaved Parmesan and goat cheese, 2 eggs over easy, sourdough bread, and duck sausage. Delicious!!! Mary ordered the Country Benedict; House made biscuits, sausage, eggs, house made country gravy, potatoes. Delicious!!! These are big orders, we had breakfast and are leaving with enough leftovers for dinner!

Another great find! Where the locals come for an excellent and hearty breakfast. The corned beef hash was more meat than potatoes. Eggs cooked perfectly. Everything fresh and perfectly prepared by friendly and welcoming employees. Highly recommend

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First off it was packed so I was hopeful![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First time here &&& probably won't be back, Was wanting to dip my toast into eggs so I ordered eggs over medium & as you see in the picture there is no yoke lol. Potatoes are a little under cooked for my taste buts that's just a preference, if they had any flavor what's so ever they would be edible. Bacon waaaay under cooked for my comfort. I did see some yummy choices on other tables, so I may give it another try, but there's so many other diners with good reviews, we'll see. All the workers were very nice!!

Is it open? Google says yes but a review says no?

Actually, Google has them temp-closed. They had a fire (no one hurt), and they are having difficulty getting it back open. Check their social media pages for any new info...

May I bring my dog, who would stay under the table?

No. However, they are a physical service dog friendly restaurant.

The inside decor is dark with low lighting giving it a cozy , romantic , upscale feel. Unique decor and decorated cool. The first thing you see when you walk in is a glass floor that you can walk on and can see a table of people Dining in the basement. It's pretty cool. Our server was extremely attentive. Every time he walked by he would check our drinks or ask us if we needed anything... top notch ! The food - it's on the pricier side but worth the experience. We started off with the baked Brie and the blue cheese wedge. The baked Brie was unique. The Brie was wrapped in a house made phyllo dough and covered in caramel sauce. Accompanied by Some fruit and bread. Unique and well executed. The wedge was wonderful. Very tasty house made blue cheese dressing and bacon (I think adding some tomato or onion would have broken up the saltiness) but was still great tasting We ordered the sweet pork chop. I was impressed how moist and tender they cooked the pork.. I have to admit that it was too sweet. Even for me, who has a crazy sweet tooth. It was a unique pairing, but left no room for savory. We also ordered the seafood fettuccini. I believe they house make their pasta and Alfredo sauce. It didn't come with a ton of seafood (a couple large prawns and a few bacon wrapped scallops) but hit the spot. Their house bread they serve with your meal is the highlight! A little loaf of breast drenched in a garlic butter sauce! I'm salivating just thinking about it! I' have to admit, I have high expectations, and this place is probably the better of the many other local eateries I've tried . A little spendy- 2 people , no drinks with tip $130 ish Ambiance - 5 Food- 5 Service -5

We ordered the spring salads with grilled chicken. It was ok. Not worth $17. Then they ran out of blue cheese crumbles and ran to the store. Sadly to say I never got them which might have added to the taste of the salad given it was supposed to come with them. We waited a very long time for our salads. And a very long time for the bill which I thought the might credit a dollar or two due to running out of blue cheese. But no. Just an apology. Indoor eating is very loud. So be prepared. Also the bathroom had no hand towels to dry my hands. Sorry to be disappointed. It might have been an off day as it seems pretty popular.

That being said, service was very good. That's the high point. The WINGS were a disappointment. They were akin to Costco's precooked wings, but these were all about presentation versus good taste. Try not petrifying the meat would be a good start. I had one of the hamburger plates. I really liked the fries. These were well prepared. The hamburger on the other hand was lacking any uniqueness or even quality beef. So if you are one of those people that believes a hamburger should be a culinary experience, this is not the dish you want to get here. Okay, I hate to be the negative Nelly, but the worst part of the upscale experience was the crescendo of noise. It crept up on you as the lunch crowd moved in. It was seriously hard to communicate at your own table. The decor offers little to no sound mitigation. Seriously, consider acoustic tiles. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Prices were fair, given our current economic conditions.

The sweet potato fries stood out as some of the best I've had--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. The ranch was thick, creamy, and so good I ended up dipping everything in it. Portions were generous, the food came out hot, and there wasn't a single thing on the plate I didn't enjoy. It was one of those meals where you're already thinking about what you'll order next time before you've even left. To go with the meal, the beer selection was solid with a nice range of options, from easy-drinking choices to more flavorful craft pours.
