I'm a small town girl that went to small town high school. Could not even imagine going to school…read moreat a place so large. I can't even think how the students get to their classes on time. However, on this particular check in, I was attending an event on a Saturday to watch my niece sing. It was a community event called a Fall Festival where different groups were performing from neighboring schools. That's all well and good, but there was no signage outside telling people the exact location to come in and buy tickets. From observation (and a text from a family member) assisted me in finding the right entry to the event. Inside, there isn't much signage to direct one to different parts of the school. You know how in stores they have arrows pointing you in the direction of a location (i.e. restroom, gym, cafeteria)? Not here. Would have been helpful. Once again, observation led me to the direction of the outdoor event, which I missed by a longshot because I was told my niece's performance would last from 11:30-12 and I still missed it even though I arrived by 11:45 :/ In all honesty, that comment was directed towards the organizers of the event who charged $2 for entry, but to host the festival at a place that lacks signage is not good. I can imagine some new kid trying to find classes on the first day becoming extremely overwhelmed by a place like this. I'm sure it's a great school, just had a doughy brained designer!

Glad I'm in this AMAZING school. the education is very good but a lot of mistakes in some places but after all we love watkins middle school and hope to see more new kids at our school.

I used to be a student here and there was always fights and arguments and I am telling you can't…read morehave nothing nice without some one trying to steal it or say it is fake and after covid, there was mass fights every other week and it keeped on happening for 2 1/2 student years and the subs most of time you don't even know what they are saying and a couple of times students/people in the class be throwing chairs and cussing at the teacher and bullying other students/people and the food is bad i don't know if the food got better but when I was here last year the food was bad the people was smocking in the bath rooms and the new 6th graders apparently form rumors they are doing inappropriate things that I can't say but good luck if you go here if the school got better let me know

On more occasions than I can count, she has offended and belittled both parents and students. Just because a new school has all the bells and whistles doesn't mean any of will put to good use, especially when the leader is such a mean-spirited soul.

She likes the school VERY much but whenever I come to eat lunch with her I see all the kids talking and not eating there lunches and when it's time to go they throw away everything even the stuff that they don't eat. Some of them only eat the chips for extras and not eat they're real lunch. Also they need to change the schedule because after lunch it's recess and when you run with still food in your tummy it starts to hurt your stomach and make you sit on a bench. Great school but needs some amprovments!

West Memorial's staff has done a phenomenal job working to ensure that their students (including my sons) are motivated and receive a fine education. My experiences laid a shaky foundation for my education that continued to be shaky through high school. I suspect that the solid foundation that my sons have received here will result in achievements that they can be proud of through their graduation.

Long story short, after two months at this daycare and multiple "second chances" we switched our daughter to a new daycare where she has been for two months and we couldn't be happier that we left Kids R Kids. We moved from out of state in July and our daughter started in the toddler classroom in August. Everything was mostly okay (The first day I did watch the teacher literally ignore and step over my crying toddler for 20 minutes before picking her up or showing her any sort of attention), she cried every day I dropped her off but, we thought it was from adjusting to the move and new school. Day 3, I went to pick her up and the room she had been in had lights off and no kids. I went to the other toddler room, same story. I went to the front desk to ask them where my daughter was and the front desk woman walked back to the toddler room where I'd just checked and was surprised there we no kids. At this point I am starting to panic, thinking to myself these people don't know where my child is. At which point I ask them "where is my baby?!" They have no idea where she is. I hear my daughter crying and find her in the infant room hysterically crying. I went to get her as we're both distressed at this point and they won't let me in the room to get her. Fine, I get the rules. I tell them "fine, one of you needs to get my baby now." I get my baby and we head home. My husband calls them to tell them this is unacceptable and they LIE to him about what happened stating they knew where she was the whole time; false. The next morning I talked to the assistant director (I think? I'm not sure, no one ever introduced themselves to me) and she assured me this was an isolated incident and they were having a staff meeting asap to discuss. Against my better judgement I kept my daughter there. Every week something new would happen. An injury here, never applying diaper cream (which I provided) after diaper changes leading to terrible diaper rash, watching them be excessively rough with my daughter on the video stream and not to mention she never stopped crying at drop off in the morning, she cried everyday for 6 weeks straight. We eventually starting looking for other daycares and were able to get her into a new one very quickly. Right as Notify kids r kids we'll be moving our daughter, they call to tell me she fell backwards in her chair and hit her head and it was bleeding. After talking with the director we both decided it was best if that was my daughters last week and she waved the 2 week notice requirement. The director was aware of many of my concerns and stated she was actively trying to fix things. I really hope she is successful. The pros of this daycare were price and proximity to our house, which is why we stayed as long as we did. Looking back, I should have pulled my daughter out after they "lost" her on the 3rd day. Please do your research before I entrusting these people with your children/babies. There are tons of daycares in our area and ones where the teachers are loving and actually care for you and your children. Sadly, my experience at Kids R Kids was the opposite of loving and caring.

I think it paints a vivid picture of the kind of money grubbing institution this is when the director explained that " the teacher can't do anything back to your daughter" in reference to my 3 year old supposedly scratching the teacher. I don't know what she was implying but I thought that physical and or corporal punishment which an archaic way of disciplining children. Furthermore they keep referencing "safety concerns" to mask there inability to properly run there faculty which apparently is under staffed according to themselves. No one should leave three kids here for any length of time as one teacher per 17 kids is not enough and "unsafe".
