We paid the enrollment fees, completed the process they requested, and after that, communication completely stopped. I called multiple times and was repeatedly told that someone would reach out to us, but nobody ever did. Now they are refusing to refund the enrollment fee despite the lack of communication and follow-up from their admissions team. What is even more concerning is that in an email today, they stated that they believe their communication was handled appropriately. Honestly, what a shame. Ignoring families, failing to follow up, and then refusing accountability is not proper communication. A student will made you tour the school and their admission lady will show up at the end to give you the enrollment document. I should have understand their lack of consideration right away I truly wish I had seen the warning signs earlier. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this school to other families.

We like that DSA teaches accountability, among other things, which is generally lacking in society these days. Perhaps in part because they are part of a network of several other DS schools, they seem very well structured in all aspects, including communication with parents, curriculum, and school operations. While they are small (but growing), they function as well as or better than a larger school. The homework load seems very well balanced, especially compared to their previous school. The teachers are excellent and everyone is very nice. The students are good kids and we've been impressed with the behavior and politeness of our kids' friends. The parents we have met are very nice with similar family values. We hoped we would find a community, and we have made new friends with othe families through our kids and their friends. Despite the small size, the school offers several sports programs, including football and volleyball, and is very competitive against schools that are much larger. They built a new middle/high school building last year and it is a top class facility. Great gym, big, modern classrooms, great courtyard, multipurpose chapel, and more. Tuition remains very reasonable in comparison to other private schools in the Houston area, especially considering the low teacher:student ratio.

I am extremely disappointed at the lack of sensitivity from the school at this time during the Covid 19 pandemic. The school hasn't been sensitive to the financial constraints parents are facing. Sugar Creek Montessori has not adjusted the tuition for the time the school has been closed (two weeks now). They have charged parents for the normal curriculum which includes full time staff and materials but are only providing "ONLINE TEACHING" which should be offered at a discount. Some of us are out of work or have reduced incomes. Others are trying to manage the demands of working from home while taking care of our kids. I've sent multiple emails regarding a refund or at least a credit and all I get is a generic response "Thank you for your feedback". I have tried calling, but I of course do not get an answer. Understand, I am not giving you my feedback I need an answer! Your policy is "NO PRORATION FOR SICKNESS AND/OR VACATION", however, this is not a vacation, this is an unfortunate situation the world has encountered so all I am asking for is for fairness and my tuition to be valued at the product I am getting or lack of product to be honest. My child has been at this school for 2 years now and has enjoyed his time there. His teachers are great and he loves them very much. We have never had any issues prior to this situation, but at this point I feel the need to complain and voice my frustration with the administration. I have called around to check other schools policies and I am astonished to find out that 2 owners of two well known Montessori schools are discounting the tuition due to this pandemic situation without hesitation. I would hope that your school or should I say our school would be one of the local schools to acknowledge the services being rendered do not warrant the tuition fees we paid during the month of March. As of now, parents have been told April tuition will be charged once the school figures out how to offer an "off-site curriculum". The teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to make sure my children receive the care, encouragement, and individual support they need. She likes the school VERY much but whenever I come to eat lunch with her I see all the kids talking and not eating there lunches and when it's time to go they throw away everything even the stuff that they don't eat. Some of them only eat the chips for extras and not eat they're real lunch. Also they need to change the schedule because after lunch it's recess and when you run with still food in your tummy it starts to hurt your stomach and make you sit on a bench. My experiences laid a shaky foundation for my education that continued to be shaky through high school.
