I have been to other chiropractors before, but none of them were as honest or as straight forward as Dr. Harver was with me. I saw him a total of 6 times. My main issue was patella tendonitis among other things. He found straight away that the issue was my feet. I'm so flat footed that I basically have duck feet. This has caused issues in my knees, hips, shoulders, and spine. Among bracing my feet and KT taping my knee, he reset certain parts of my body that I could not do on my own. He also gave me advice and homework on how to improve myself so that I would have to see him less. I recently went to the Good Feet Store and purchased their orthotics. With that and the work Dr. Harver has done, he basically said that I no longer need to see him regularly and to only come in if something goes wrong. My spine and hips are better and my knees and feet are on their way. I am on the correct path for improvement. I have never heard a chiro tell you Not to go see them. Usually they say to see them as much as possible. I highly recommend seeing him if you have any issues. His wife works at the front desk and she is the sweetest person. They make a really great team! Had got into a car accident recently and PCP recommend seeing a chiro. I was having back pains after accident & This was my first time at a chiropractor office . I'm 26 years old I've never had issues with my back till now but wow just wow this man is amazing . Very friendly !! Such good energy & while working on my back he was talking to me thru the whole process and just making conversation . Just everything about this visit was amazing. I felt so much better after, I felt taller for some reason I don't want you guys to feel like I'm over exaggerating or anything but damn it was Deff a breath of fresh air afterwards. Dr. Harver, I miss you!! I live in Washington DC, but go home to San Diego regularly and that is when I can seem him for an adjustment or two. I've been in excruciating pain with my lower back, hip, leg and tendonitis in my left arm. I did a call out on FB for friends to recommend. I ended up going to this one guy who I had hoped would be decent. I was so eager to get there and get relief, but no. The guy I saw today in DC was 1.) afraid to really "crack" me; 2) refused to pull my leg, which I totally feel needs to be done (he "doesn't do that"), 3) did not spend much time on me at all, 4) did nto even touch my elbow until I said, "well aren't you going to do something for my tendonitis, 5) was not very knowledgeable, and 6) was totally disinterested.7) charged twice as much as dr. Harver. On the other hand, you have chiropractors like Dr. Harver who 1) is strong, confident in his abilities and not afraid to "crack" you, 2) does pull my leg and use many other manipulations effectively, 3) is generous with his time, 4) has successfuly treated my teonditis, sciatic, etc for past flare-ups, 5) is extremely knowledgeable, and 6) totally engaged and a great listener of his patients, 7) very affordable. Additionally, I also appreciate the "surfer" in him, esp since I have been living on the east coast for many years and they are virtually non-existent here. He does sport Hawaiian shirts and takes, I believe, Thursdays off to surf. He brings a bit of the surfer zen to his healing space which is an added bonus! First time seeing a Chiropractor. I saw one before Dr. Harver but this Chiropractor was a disappointment. He never treated me but wanted $2500 up front and in cash for his treatment. Dr. Harver was a blessing. Every time I left his office I felt better. Although his treatment did not alleviate my pain in my neck and arm for I have a pinched nerve in my neck cause by bone growth pushing against my nerve, he did align my neck. Dr. Harver is extremely knowledgeable, having been in practice over thirty years. He was very engaging, explaining everything he was doing and was also very gentle, an especially good trait since I'm thirty weeks pregnant. He also didn't try to push any treatment plans, suggesting coming in every couple of weeks and explaining things I could do at home to stay in alignment and ease my pain. My wife first started seeing Dr. Harver when she was about 30 weeks along. I was intrigued by the way she described Dr. Harver and his office. I have chronic lower back pain with arthritis in my hands, knees, and hips. I like how he actually has conversations with you, not just the idle chat during a 5 to 10 minute appt. Sometimes the appts go a little longer/shorter depending on what needs to get done. He tells you what he is doing, why he is doing it, and the benefit you will get from it. The office is also very family friendly. I am able to bring both of my small children and they enjoy themselves with the toys and books they have there. They also don't charge an arm and leg for a visit. For my visits I pay $45. I go about every three weeks or so, depending on how I feel. I would highly recommend Dr. Harver for anyone who needs or would like to see a chiropractor. read more

He also encourages me to do proper exercises to keep my body in alignment and in place so I don't have to keep coming back. My entire family of five has been seeing Dr. Harold Harver since 1980. That's 36 years! We often go several months without any need for a treatment. However, if we throw out our back doing something stupid, twist a muscle playing tennis or hockey, or simply get a stiff neck and can't find any relief, we call the #1 adjustment expert. Several years ago, we moved north to Los Angeles. However, we still make appointments and drive to Bonita because Dr. Harver is a real miracle worker for our family.
