I've had keys made here a couple of times and they worked fine. Affordable and quick. I appreciated that they had seating available while waiting, even though it was long wait either time. I also saw another customer come in saying he needed a new key fob but they said it might just be the battery. They tested it and all it needed was a new battery. So they're honest too. read more

I called on a Monday morning and they were out at my house within the hour to rekey multiple locks and change a few out. Johnny was a very knowledgeable guy, and had them changed out in a timely fashion. It is worth noting one of the reasons I called Harper Lock and Key was because a previous locksmith in town couldn't even get the door handles on the front door facing the right direction on a previous visit. It's frustrating having to pay somebody to fix another companies mistakes, but Johnny was great and Harpers saved the day! They will definitely be my first call in the future. read more

Under false narrative. a claimed to be able to cut specific keys from motorcycle ignition. (lost spare) drove 3 hours to be there at time agreed. Waited 4+ hrs checked back due to no call. Nothing was done, was not going to start on it for aprox 2 weeks. Not what was agreed upon! Waste of a day! Worthless not truthful! I would find business elsewhere due to them claiming they have so much work To do. read more

Came in for a spare key to the tonneau cover. It is a odd key. The person took two trips out to the truck and had to do some modifications to get a spare to work. To me this attention to detail was great. They have a resident dog that is very friendly. read more

Took my 2012 Fiesta in to have a key programmed, The Gentleman had to order a programmable key which was about$75 , when the key came he realized that my car, because it was a base model, could not be programmed, he only charged me to cut the key, and he lost money on the key , I tried to go ahead and pay him cause I felt bad he was going to eat the cost of the key, but he refused and was very Kind, + I Love going in and playing wit Jake his German Shepherd ( beautiful smart dog)!!! I have been using Harper for years. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and trustworthy. When I visited Harper's today with a deadbolt that had a key stuck in it, Buddy noticed that I had lubricated the lock with graphite. He explained that the graphite was the cause of the problem. A less honest business would not have told me this and suggested that I use WD-40 instead. One of favorite personalities there is Jake, a lovable German Shepherd. Also don't forget to bring Harper's those expensive new electronic keys for your car. The will save you a lot of money compared to the car dealer. read more

I had the need for some deadbolts on my new back door yesterday, and Harper handled the job like pro's. I called to have them come and re-key. Went over at length on what was needed. They quoted a price. It seemed reasonable so I agreed to hire them. 35. for house call 10. per lock to re-key 2.75 for keys and copies I told Adam we may have a few challenges with the back door, he said he would make sure they had a replacement on hand. I also discussed there being a realtors lock on 1 door and told them we had no keys to 5 doors... that's why we needed them RE-KEYED!!!I also told him this was for an elderly couple on a budget.....Adam is wonderful at customer service! Additional charge for hardware was 45.00 for lever handle 19.95 for dead bolt JOHN arrived to do the work. No problem with any of this so far until they give me a bill for 270.00 !!!! I told JOHN this was no where near the quote!!!! He changed it to 234.27. I paid it but will never Recommend them or hire them again. They never mentioned ANY other charges!!!! I would have shopped around if I had known the hidden charges!!! read more

Really poor service. Yesterday I called and scheduled an appointment for 11:30A today for a locksmith to come rekey my front door. At around 11 the locksmith left a message on my phone saying he's running late. We called back within a few minutes to ask when we could expect them - no answer. At 12:30 we called again and reached the locksmith. He said he "might" be able to be out in an hour. I told him that wouldn't work because I had other work appointments and I'd have to reschedule. I called their office and scheduled a second appointment for 4P the same day. At 3:30 their locksmith left another message saying they would be late again. We called back within a few minutes and again - got no answer. At 5:30 I called their office and was told "they got busy and probably couldn't come out for a couple of days." When I said I really needed someone out today because I can't get off tomorrow, his response was "That ain't gonna happen cause were covered up". So, I took off from work 2 times to meet them. The locksmith didn't show up either time. Their defense is "they called", but didn't answer either time when we called them back. And we just sat at home, missing work and waiting. Worst of all, they got belligerent when I told them I was I'm upset about this poor service, and the fact they refused to correct it by doing what they promised - twice! So, when you read Harper's ads that state "Premier Service" - don't believe it. When you read "24 hour service" - don't believe it. Call another locksmith. read more

Our home safe malfunctioned and would not open. Called Harper looking for help with the safe. Traveling soon and needed passports out. Lady on phone was extremely rude. She offered no assistance, and commented that we could call all their other customers that day if we wanted them to look at our safe. I had heard that their service was unfriendly from others, but thought we would try them out. What a mistake!
