We stopped by here before going to an event and had a good experience. We ordered the Steak Frites (no parm) and the Prawn Aglio Olio. The STEAK & PARM FRITES was really good. The steak was tender like a brisket and it came in a Demi-glacé that was really good. It was nice that they could make this dish gluten and dairy free. The steak fell past the way brisket meat separates. The PRAWN AGLIO E OLIO was very good as well. My husband really enjoyed this pasta dish and it was served with 5 prawns. Would we Return? While on a night out with friends in Oakville, decided to stop in for drinks and dinner. We were greeted in a warm and friendly way and led to our booth. The restaurant is fine quite well with high ceilings and different seating arrangements- big tops, booths, bar . Had a few martinis and Ketel ones . We ordered steak & fries ( well prepared and delicious), chicken burger, Truffle Mushroom Risotto with scallops and Moroccan Curried chicken - each were delicious, perfectly cooked and great presentation. We came here for a group gathering and enjoyed our time. The staff were very friendly and helpful and although we made a lot of noise as a group, we weren't treated any different from others. We were sitting close to the bar, which made it much easier to order drinks. For appetizers, we ordered "Nachos with Seasoned Beef and Guacamole", "Trio Dip" and "Mozzarella Arancini". Nachos are always my favorite at Landings. We ordered "Steak & Shrimp", "Steak and Parm Frites" and "Landing Carbonara". And enjoyed our meals to the fullest. We stopped in for brunch and although the staff was very accommodating to our needs (our friend is immunocompromised) the food was unacceptable. The waffle in my chicken and waffle was the texture of cardboard and the sauce was congealed as if it had been warmed up in a microwave. The eggs Benedict were hard boiled and way overdone. Beautiful interior for dining, standard food. What a beautiful spot to meet up with friends for a catch up lunch! It's located in a plaza with outdoor patio seating as well. Upon arriving, you're greeted at the front by the smiling hostess and brought to your table. Service was good during my time here at lunch. I was persuaded by the waitress to get the fried chicken sandwich and upgraded my fries to sweet potato fries. Pretty standard food here. It hit the spot and the chicken burger was nice and crispy. Sweet potato fries could have been a bit more crispy and would've liked ketchup with it as well. It did come with a spicy aioli though. Water wasn't refilled as much as I'd like. Let me start by saying food was great!! I was however disappointed when our party of 5 was seated at a table by the kitchen first. Since I had made a reservation a week earlier and seeing many many empty tables around, I asked for another table, away from the kitchen action and its noise. The young lady told me there were no tables available, yet when my guest asked, they did put togetger another table in a more quite area. It was embarrassing and humiliating. Also our dishes were not served all together and the 3 of us who got their food first, had to wait few minutes till the other two dishes arrived. Nice bar to hang out at, easy parking and great selection of wines. When our waitress brough the menues I asked her to please take a group picture of us, but she said she will be back for it. Not sure how the 2-3 minutes of taking pictures would effect her schedual. Its always better to work with the guests in small requests like that. read more

No worry about parking, lots in the plaza. They have a grand entrance and the place looks chic and modern. There are booths, tables and high chairs area. Due to the weather, they closed their patio area that evening. The washroom is nice and clean. Our waitress seemed new but didn't state it to us. No perkiness to her on the job and she looked loss. No smile. We got the trio dips to share and it was a wonderful treat to taste three unique flavours. The slices of bread was chewy and warm. I loved every bite of it!! Yum. The nachos with beef had a nice quick to it as the middle part had a nice salsa jam on it. I never had that flavour before. The bill came and they over-charged us for the beef even though it's stated clearly on the menu. The waitress then told us that instead of beef, they gave us steak which cost more. But we were never told this until the end!!! And the menu never had a choice between beef and steak meat on top of the nachos. It was just add "beef" for $5 more. Not true to their menu then. I know it's until a couple of bucks, but one has to stay true to the price on the menu. Imagine, you go to Walmart and the item is $10 but when you check out they say it's $15. What?!? Went to Harpers Landing for Valentines Day for their Valentine's Day menu special: $120 for 4 courses. We went with the baked Brie to share, we both went with the landing salad, we both had the butler steak, and ended wth a crème brûlée and a sticky toffee pudding. The baked Brie was interesting as it was like a toast type bread underneath the cheese. The salad was quite basic; mixed greens, sliced apple, halved grapes, and cubed cheese (odd); nothing to rave about there. The steaks were good, I don't love the grilled tomato accompaniment but that's just me. The desserts were both fantastic though and made up for the salads. I feel like Valentine's Day doesn't let restaurants show their best as they're trying to accommodate a lot of people, but the restaurant wasn't even full so I expected a little more attention to the food. Location is great, food is good but last two times the service has been slow, food and drinks. Oddly the last time we were there (May 10, 2025) we overheard the staff talking about being able to reduce servers for the night after we'd waited 10 minutes for our wine order. Food was even slower and we noticed other tables who had arrived before us getting served after us. At least get the drinks out quickly for goodness sake! I am disappointed by the number of high top tables. I know this isn't the only restaurant to do this, but if you have any kind of mobility issue, back or joint issues it just limits where you can sit. Harpers does something that many other restaurants lack and that is ambiance. I enjoy coming to harpers for their music and drinks and for the party and classy vibe that it has. The food isn't insanely good buts it always dependably good and the drink menu is long and everyone could find something they like. Love the ingredients they use and how fresh everything tastes. Only complaint is that the servers can be slow or not as responsive mostly due to the size of the place. It does feel private tho because of this and more like a bar than a restaurant because of this quality. read more

The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating on their patio and gives off some pretty nice vibes. I decided to go with the margarita pizza of course and it wasn't what I expected tbh LOL. It has some sliced tomatoes and topped with some balsamic vinegar. Overall it was good but had that sweet/sour kick to it. Thinking about it, I kind of wish I got something else. Our server was very nice but the food did take a really long time to get out. They were nice enough to give us a free dessert though which was the toffee pudding. So happy for patio season, even when it's raining LOL! We wanted to go to a restaurant for a get together for dinner on Monday but it started raining and Harpers landing provided us with a patio that has umbrellas! While the table and chairs were still kind of wet, we're just happy to be able to dine out! Wait time and service Harpers landing didn't take reservations and due to the weather, there were only limited seating so we had to wait around 30 minutes for our table. The hostesses were very nice and accommodating. Food and drinks: We ordered the fish taco for starters, the ahi tuna salad as well as the turkey burger. We also got the honey gin as a Moscow mule as our drinks. Personally, i thought the drink was way too strong but to others it might be just right! The burger was delicious and i absolutely loved the landing salad. The fish tacos were great and filled, fish was made perfectly and didn't taste fishy with the fillings and sauce. The tuna salad tasted great, the tuna was seared and well done, the dressings paired great with them. Overall, they were all good. We also ordered a sparkling water but didn't realize it came as such a huge bottle and not a small Perrier. Our server was also super nice and attentive. Will definitely come back. It was a bit crowded and lots of children running around. Just a side note, this is an older crowd at this location "30+" in a good way. I've been here a few times based on recommendations. Every time I've been here the front section was very disappointing. The hostesses are not helpful and are somewhat rude and dismissive. For example, we arrive they estimate wait time of 30-45 minutes. When we ask again in 30-45 minutes they give you the same answer. We say we already have been waiting they repeat the same answer rudely. First time we decided to wait figuring we already wasted 45 minutes to an hour. Only to then be given the same answer 1-1/2 hours later! This is so ridiculous. The next visit several weeks later was the same experience. I understand this is a busy place but I would say go somewhere with better customer service. The staff are very rude and have a "stuck up" attitude. My guess is they seat who they want ... perhaps their "regulars" get better service. It's a shame because their food is actually pretty good. I persisted and finally actually had a meal. We were seated right away in an area away from the crowds at 5:45 pm Oct. 26. We were waiting for a friend to join us. Service was very attentive and we got drinks before our companion arrived. When a senior member of staff from the bar came to ask us what we'd like to drink, our friend asked for time to decide on her dinner. Service was attentive and engaged. This place is a good place for a group of friends/co-workers to go for lunch/dinner/drinks. The food is good and I have been back a few times. The only problem is, and it may be due to the labor shortage, is the very slow service. A group of 8 of us and it took over 45 minutes for drinks one evening. If you are able to be patient, it is an above average establishment. Hopefully the service improves and if not, the restaurant starts limiting table seatings in order to help their staff and provide a better experience to their customers. read more

Stumbled across this little restaurant after a friend made reservations for her birthday. It was quite busy with a middle aged crowd when we arrived. It was a cute atmosphere would be a nice place for a date if your in Oakville. The staff was super friendly and we were promptly seated upon arriving. We were close to an area that can be completely closed off which is cool if you are having a more exclusive event. I was starving and decided to skip straight to food. I ordered the Carbonara and my fiancé had the boss burger. My meal was delicious it was really rich with bacon and a fried egg on top (can you ever really go wrong with pasta??) The portion was a good size not to big and not to small. The burger that I curiously had a bite of was delicious it had these sautéd red onions that made the burger so sweet and the burger itself was juicy. It also came with a side of fries which were fried to crispy perfection. We really enjoyed our food overall and the restaurant was kind enough to bring plates for cupcakes we had purchased from an outside location. For our birthday girl they brought a complimentary piece of sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream. This is a great spot to meet with friends for drinks and bites. While I don't find their menu anything out of the ordinary, the quality and flavour are always great here so I will continue to come back. In particular, I really enjoy their brunch menu items - they have more than one kind of eggs benny so that's a win in my book. They also have amazing mimosas and caesars with creative and wild toppings. What is nice about Harpers is the indoor/outdoor seating, and there is plenty of it. Between the dining room, patio, and bar, they have the ability to seat a number of guests. But this also makes distanced seating available which is great given our current circumstances. In the summer, the patio is often buzzing until late at night. It's overall a great place. The patio is often busy here because there isn't much else similar in the immediate area. While the "Landing" restaurants have essentially become a known chain, I actually find that Harpers feels like "home" and is a very different vibe than the downtown Toronto and Burlington locations. read more

The dressing had a touch of honey. Balanced and delicious. My companions had tuna salad, and they finished their plate. Dessert was mascarpone cheesecake and mango Sobert. Harpers Landing is best described as average. The menu is limited (There was not many options) and short of a "wow" impression. What did give a "wow" were the prices. Ordering a simple "landing carbonara" will set you back 23.75 and its the portion size for an elderly person. In my view, Despite the principal, the environment was elegant but that was quickly clouded by the screaming children and the crowded corner we were placed in. This was the "group" section, disregarding the fact there was only two of us: scheduling our appointment far in advance. The worst part about the entire experience was the table service. Our food came relatively quick but after that, our table waitress only appeared about 2 times throughout our stay. At the end of our night, she spent the majority of her time taking pictures of a group while we patiently waited for our bill; she had full knowledge of our situation (We asked for the bill before she offered to take their pictures and that ended with us having to wait, for approximately 15 minutes). Overall, I do not recommend if you are the type who prefer better pricing per portion, proper service, and a less chaotic environment. I recommend if you prefer the latter. read more

Nope. But I will give extra points for Ambiance for places like this. Maybe it was a Wednesday night and the B-Gamers were out. This was not anything as my friends have sold the place to be. I understand it's not the weekend, but don't diners that help pay the rent and staff mid-week get the A-Game too? I'm being harsh but I did give them a second run at it. Second time is the charm right? Kitchen closed. Ugh - (play ZONK music here!) The food was mediocre on my first trip out. My tip was to get the spiced olive oil because the pizza was dry and tasteless. It was worthy of sending it back, but I didn't. My bud's food wasn't anything special either. Harpers is a nice place to hang out. It's has vaulted ceilings that makes you want to look for the altar and the pews - and maybe get a confession in. The mix of booths, high tables, communals, and low tables can accommodate anyone's seating preferences. I bet the patio is fabulous in fair weather. The bar is a bit small for such a large space. The bartenders were carefully moving pass each other. I was at the bar and service was king here, as value and food suffered on the ratings. If the Third Time is the Charm, then I'll give it a run - maybe on Friday night to get the "Vibe" my "Oak-villager" buddy was bragging about. Restaurant is amazing for a suburban location. Staff is friendly and efficient and the food offerings are unusual enough to intrigue without being too off the wall. Wonderful patio to sit outside and love the overall vibe! Went here for lunch on a Wednesday and it was filled with people. Started the meal with drinks and got a crafted cocktail that had a lemon foam (Blood Orange Smash) - it was wonderful for the warm summer heat. We stuck to appetizers such as Ancho Lime wings and Fried Calamari. They were great tasting and I appreciated that the wings were not oily. Both cost around $14 per dish. We also ended up getting the Lemon Cannoli for dessert. It came with two cannolis - it was okay, I loved more the blueberry compote than the filling, but I think it is just such a strong flavor to fill an entire cannoli with. I think in a mini cannoli the flavors would be better tolerated. It wasn't bad though. Overall, I really liked this place and will be back again! read more

Beautiful restaurant, nice, HUGE patio, but don't expect too much from the food. Not sure how you can screw up poached eggs, but they weren't drained properly so it left a pool of water on the rest of the dish - underneath fries, bacon, chorizo, etc. Poached eggs and hollandaise sauce both tasted sour (vinegary, not lemon juice) - just not appetising. Toast seemed as though it was plated a good while before hitting the table. Overall a very uninspired brunch. The Landing Breakfast literally had 2 pieces of chorizo, maybe 2 thin slices of bacon. Home fries didn't taste as though they were freshly fried as they were dark and dry. Maybe other dishes are better, but based on this simple breakfast/brunch staple, not much care is put into their food. Can't even get the basics done properly. read more
