My favorite is their chocolate one and their pumpkin one! The staff is always kind when we go in. I'd highly recommend getting a Gooseberry pie for an event or for a treat!

There just…read morearen't enough pie places in California, and even pie chains like Marie Callenders are dying out. Gooseberry's storefront is in a pretty unassuming strip mall near the Bentonville USPS/Osage Park. It's not a sit-down place by any means, so prepare to get your pies to go. They not only have a case with fresh whole pies and mini pies, but also have a freezer with frozen savory pies. I ended up getting three mini pies--coconut cream, French silk, and banana pudding (not technically a pie but is sort of pie adjacent?). I think they set me back around $30; clearly they are not cheap, but I'd rather pay a little extra $$ for a quality treat. Many thanks to the nice guy at the counter for all the recommendations! My ranking: 1. French silk -- I am a sucker for chocolate cream pies and this one was great. The chocolate cream was rich but not too sweet. The crust to filling ratio was great and was clearly a quality, all-butter crust (I can immediately clock a crust that is cut with shortening like Crisco). 2. Banana pudding-- Solid, standard banana pudding. I know the bar is low, but I was relieved that it tasted like actual real banana, and not like banana runts/jello pudding. 3. Coconut cream -- This wasn't a bad pie by any means, but I didn't like the stringy bits of coconut in the custard, which I also found too sweet. I think toasted coconut sprinkled on the surface would've been the way to go. I wish I had gotten to try a quintessentially Arkansas pie like possum pie that day, so I would recommend calling ahead of time to get a sense of what's available/the rotating menu of the week. You can also pre-order a whole pie of your choosing, but it's just me over here and ordering a whole pie would be $$$ and dangerous. That being said, highly recommend!

She is very hospitable and involved with her customers. Love that! Interaction and communication is key when running your own business. She nails it! Secondly, the inside is quite small yet there is seating in every corner and space available. From tables, to sofas, to cozy chairs, there is a quiet spot to enjoy your treats! There's even a water and food station for your fur babies! Now on to the main event...the pie! Wow! Just wow! From pie to cake to scones to tarts, I've tried them all! The raspberry cream is to die for! So sweet, creamy and they use real raspberries! I was in heaven at first bite! The lemon meringue pie is a close second with its bright freshness! Not overly lemony...Just right! The chocolate cake is super fudgey and rich! Pair it with a cold cup of milk and you've reached Heaven. The banana chocolate chip scone was good...but in my opinion much too sweet. Leave off the brown sugar/cinnamon glaze and it would be much better. The fruit tart was so flavorful and the fruit was fresh and just the right sweetness. If you like coconut cream pie, you've come to the right place! Creamy and the perfect consistency. The chocolate diner pie is rich and decadent with its lightly whipped topping and chocolate curls. Lastly the Southern Buttermilk pie was a first for me. I didnt know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. It was almost a custard like consistency but with a sour note...more lemony than I was expecting but good nonetheless. Next time I hope to try the more savory pies and quiches. Everyday there is a variety to choose from and their daily menu is always posted on their Facebook page. Oh! And the prices are fantastic considering you get a good size slice of pie! Big enough to share...if you're willing! I highly recommend this cute little bakery...in fact I insist on it!

The savory jalapeño scones with sausage gravy (have to ask for it) were incredible! Perfectly seasoned. The lemon blueberry scone was sweet crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. However. I found a hair in my jalapeño scone. A long one. They took it back and immediately apologized and gave me a free time, the cherry cheesecake which I took to go. When I took two bites I looked down and saw another hair. In the cheesecake. Not sure what's going on with how they're making people address their proper kitchen attire but two hairs in two items in the same purchase.... I lost my appetite after this and am now not wanting to go back.....

When you arrive there is plenty of parking on the street. You'll walk in through the entrance on Walnut street and order at the counter. It will feel like you were transported to a very industrial, open, lively atmosphere. For coffee I ordered the Hail Fellow Well Met latte (brown butter, caramel, sea salt, espresso, and oat milk). The flavors were excellent and you could tell the sauces/syrups are made in house. This is a great coffee shop to work remotely from or just hang out for a bit in. Unless our coffees were made wrong, I promise y'all there's so much better coffee out there! The lattes were essentially straight milk. I tasted a tiny bit of espresso flavor, among the other flavors, but truly, this was one of the most milky lattes I've ever had. So disappointing. The line was quite long, and I didn't want to pay any more to add espresso, on top of my $48 bill, especially when it should've been nicely balanced from the start. I mean, just look at the color! I also got the iced lemon poppy matcha; it was refreshing and decent. What I will give credit for: the breakfast sandwich and carrot bread (not pictured) were delicious. And I can really appreciate coffee shops that make their own syrups and craft creative combinations with them, like wildflower-lavender or lemon poppy.
