We grabbed take out for a quick lunch during the work week. We tried a few of their wraps and Olympic chicken sand which. The wrap was way better than their sandwich to be honest. The Olympic sandwich had way too many onions on it and was a little greasy for my liking. Maybe it was my fault for not reading the description prior to ordering. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience regarding customer service at Harried & Hungry. While parked in their lot on a Friday, June 5, 2026, another customer hit my vehicle and left the scene without leaving any information. When I spoke with the staff, I was told there were security cameras specifically because incidents like this had happened before. The staff provided me with owner Harry's phone number so I could obtain the footage for my insurance claim. Unfortunately, after four separate attempts to contact Harry and receive a return call, I heard nothing. Finally, Tina contacted me and informed me that the camera facing the area where my vehicle was parked was not recording because they had changed their Wi-Fi three weeks earlier and the camera had not been functioning since then. What is most disappointing is not that the camera wasn't working--technology issues happen. It's the lack of communication and follow-through. Had someone simply returned my calls and been transparent from the beginning, I would have understood. Instead, I spent days trying to get information that ultimately wasn't available. The food and business may be great, but customer service is also part of the customer experience. The service is as good as the food! I have been a fan of H&H for over a decade. Their food in the cafe was (when they had a cafe on 3rd) was adventurous and horizon-expanding. Downtown lunchtime is definitely dimmer without them. I need to get to their Georgetown cafe on the weekends (or get a job in Georgetown! ;-D) BUT! Their catering is dependably delicious, and their flexibility makes them my go-to when it comes to catering. They are improving their site and expanding their menu. The standards, like their Caesar, is almost perfect. I can supply my own anchovy filets to make it perfect! I will preface this review by indicating that I have been vegetarian for about as long as I have not, and I've got a bit of experience when it comes to vegetarian and plant-based food. Ughh, I really wanted to love Harried & Hungry. I can't say enough about the lady working the cashier, she was very nice and even helped me out to my car as I was on crutches. For food, I ordered the breakfast croissant and sausage burrito. I expected the sandwich snd burrito to be killer, especially since everything is made in house and to order but honestly they were both just okay. The bacon on the croissant was over cooked for my liking. The burrito tasted a bit bland, even after lathering it with their homemade hot sauce. The burrito was huge, however, which is made it a great value for the money. My only complaint was the wait time. I went inside to order on a Wednesday morning, there were 2 customer waiting for their 2 sausage biscuit sandwiches and no no other customers inside. Not sure how long those guys has been waiting but it was about 5-7 minutes after I arrived amen for me it took 35 minutes to make my food. Not the end of the world but 35 minutes for a croissant sandwich and a burrito was unexpected. In any case, I enjoyed seeing everyone in the open kitchen turn out lots of food and appreciate the kind person working the register. Maybe their sandwiches, salads, and soup are better. After waking up post-flight from HNL, my uncle and his family took my family and I to nearby Harried & Hungry near closing time. Even at this time; they were jolly. They walked us through the menu and talked story with us, then they invited us to dine in in their dining room area. My family and I got: *old Smokey ($10): slow smoked brisket, chimichurri, confit onions, Swiss cheese, and romaine lettuce on toasted sourdough- meaty and satisfying :) *BLT ($9): house bacon, Roma tomato, and romaine lettuce with rosemary aioli and toasted wheat- NOT your ordinary BLT. So much better. The house bacon and the rosemary is what sets it apart from others. *Seattle native ($9): roasted eggplant, Parmesan, and mixed greens with charred tomato aioli and toasted focaccia- probably my favorite sandwich of the three :D Overall, the sandwiches from here are some of the best I've ever had.
