Do not use Design Perfect Catering. I paid $1169. Which included an $89 delivery fee and $89 tip…read more It was a 6 mile delivery. This was completely absurd. Their pictures show a nice spread and this was all I got. I paid $33 per head. The charcuterie board was $420. The Hummus plater was $195 and the dessert tray $165. I did order 50 assorted soft drinks and water which were $2 each. That seems reasonable. They should be ashamed of themselves. If anyone thinks I'm wrong please let me know. Outside of the drinks this was all that was delivered. There wasn't even a nice set up.

From the moment we locked in a menu, I was contacted by their payment team and they took care of that over email. Day of the event, they were at the house at the time that was agreed. The coordination between the company's day of lead and chef was all on point. (2) Event The event was great. The day of lead and chef laid out the appetizers and served drinks. The main dinner was plated and they served us a 3 course meal that was delicious. Afterwards, the lead pretty much cleaned up the place and said his goodbyes right on time. (3) Flexibility I need to give them a big shout out for being flexible with me. We had planned for this dinner to happen on Mother's Day but there was a sudden death of a family friend that caused us to postpone. Twelve Baskets were incredibly accommodating. We came up with a new date and time at no extra costs to us. Thank you! Overall: We had a very positive experience and I highly recommend Twelve Baskets for your catering needs.

We get the same breakfast from another catering company every other week, so thought we'd try a new place. My first experience was with the order - this is actually my 2nd time ordering, the last time was for some breakfast burritos. Both times I had problems ordering on the website and had to call. When I initially did my research, they came in similar priced if not a bit lower than the other company we regularly use. After placing my order, I noticed they charge a 20% "production fee" in addition to tax, gratuity, and then an additional 3.5% to pay by card, so it ended up being $100 more. Also, I figured for ordering a hot breakfast for 30 people they would put it in disposable chaffers to keep hot, but they didn't. A nitpicky complaint is the chopstick serving tools for the fruit didn't work well at all either. Overall, we weren't very happy.

I rented an aerator and mentioned that I had never used one before. The staff did take a moment to explain how it works, which was helpful. I also asked at the front desk whether I should use a trailer to transport it, and was told it shouldn't be necessary since they could load it into my truck using their ramp. Three employees loaded the aerator into the bed of my truck (with a canopy), rolled it in, and we closed the tailgate. As I was slowly pulling out to get onto Highway 99, the machine rolled forward, breaking through the canopy glass and shattering the rear window of my truck. What's most frustrating is that no one mentioned that the aerator can freely roll or that it needs to be secured during transport. For someone who has never used this type of equipment, that's critical information. When I returned to the store, I was told, "it has wheels and it'll move," which came across as dismissive. The owner pointed to a sign stating they are not responsible for damage during loading. While I understand liability policies, this situation could have easily been prevented with a simple warning or basic guidance. I've been a long-time customer and regularly rent equipment here, which makes this especially disappointing. I expect better communication and care, especially when safety and potential damage are involved.

The Catering Company exceeded my expectations!! We needed a caterer for a work party with 15 guests attending that we were hosting at our house. I saw The Catering Company had all 5-star excellent reviews on Yelp, and their website had so many great menu items that looked perfect for our needs, so we chose to use them. Hands-down, THE best choice! Hector is who helped me with booking our date, ordering our food and planning the logistics. He was so incredibly prompt in getting back to me in email, very informative, helpful, professional and courteous from beginning to end. I was very impressed! The set up crew arrived at our house right on time, and set up everything perfectly, cautiously AND in a timely manner, so when our guests arrived, everything was ready to go. The food was just beautifully created and displayed, they provided the linens, equipment to keep our food warm, labels for all our food items, including listing what was vegetarian and gluten free. Just so many small added touches that made our party even more successful than we expected. The food was just amazing! Everyone commented on how good it was and how beautifully it was displayed. I expected to have a lot left over, but we hardly had any left over! That is how much everyone loved the food. It was 5-star food without a doubt! Just delicious! And, a clean-up crew came to our house the next morning to pick up all of the equipment, platters, linens... super easy, fast, zero hassle on my end. The set up crew and clean up crew were just so professional, courteous and friendly. And, the overall cost was incredibly reasonable!! We just recently had Shooby Doo cater for our wedding. Let me tell you, it was absolutely…read moreincredible. When we began our search for a caterer, we found Shooby Doo Catering, tried one meal with them, and decided we didn't need to look anywhere else. Their food is a delicate fusion of Asian and American cuisine and they manage to blend beautiful flavors together without making their food overly salty or overwhelming. While all the food was amazing, I have to point out a few items that we ordered. They have a large menu but they were willing to customize the menu for us. Ahi Poke Taco | Shoyu sesame marinated sushi grade ahi tuna, Asian spicy slaw, crispy wonton shell, sriracha lime kewpie mayo, micro cilantro. This appetizer was AMAZING. I had it at their partner restaurant, Bar Dojo, and knew it would be a hit. Several guests consumed 3-4 of these before the meal came out. Seared Scallops | jumbo U-10 scallops, caramelized, served with a lemon burre blanc* These scallops were huge and perfectly seasoned. They were handled with class and the chefs made sure that none of them were overcooked and rubbery. Absolute perfection. Braised Pork Belly (GF, DF) | all-natural pork belly in honey lemon hoisin glaze, served with fresh scallions and pickled cucumber When we picked this dish, we didn't know what to expect. Surprisingly about a third of our guests chose this dish over braised beef and scallops and my brother, who tried all the plates, chose this as his favorite. The pork belly was as smooth as butter and well balanced with the scallions and pickled cucumber. You cannot go wrong with if you go with them. Ariana, who I communicated with, went above and beyond and made sure everything went smoothly leading up to the event. You will not be disappointed!

We had our annual event on October 8th at the Edmonds Waterfront Center with Shooby Doo catering as…read morethe food vendor. The Waterfront Center has them as an exclusive contract so we had no choice but to use this caterer. We signed up with them back in 2020 believing that we would have an in-person event in 2021 but the Delta virus made us have to do a virtual event. Shooby-doo refused to refund our significant down-payment, so we were stuck with them for a future opportunity. Which we utilized them, as I said, on October 8th 2022. The tasting that we did those years ago was absolutely wonderful. The food was quite delicious. And that team worked with us to make sure that we would have a really good selection of food items to meet all pallets, allergies, and so forth. Thus, the food is quite expensive. The major issue that we had with this company is that we are a non-profit organization and have to abide by state guidelines in regard to serving alcohol. It was almost impossible to work with Scooby-Doo on this issue because they had really bad information that they kept telling us was accurate. It was not good. It took weeks on end to finally get them to deal with the state directly and understand that we were correct and we would not do anything that would potentially jeopardize our nonprofit status. In the end it was resolved well but the frustration that we were put through is still something that has a scab on the wound. One expects for someone who is providing a service that particularly has to meet state guidelines would know what they are doing and what they are talking about. And not asking us to work in a gray area. And that's what we were told over and over again. "Just work in the gray area", but like I said it was finally resolved. One other minor thing that was aggravating but we dealt with quickly was them wanting us to get more alcohol than we needed. We got what we knew we needed and still had a few bottles left over. And the only other minor aggravation was they didn't know their full contract the evening of when everything was said and done. They thought we were supposed to be out of the building at 10:00 p.m. but we were actually scheduled to be out by midnight. Again it got resolved but it was something else to add to a more stressful moment in time. Now on to the good stuff: The night of the event was extraordinary. Their employees had everything set up in advance as it was supposed to be and the venue looked amazing. They were so friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. They literally catered to our every need asking questions along the way to make sure that we were satisfied before our guests even arrived. The staff members were amazing. The food was out of the ballpark extraordinary. People absolutely loved the food. We had a double-sided buffet in order to make things would go smooth and quickly. I'm glad we opted for that rather than having them serve the dishes. It worked well. I'm absolutely sure that we would never use Shooby Doo again for our agency events, because of the massive issues we had with them in the beginning. However, I do think they would be good for things that are not related to being a non-profit: Like weddings, birthdays, small corporation celebrations, and such. If you're considering Shooby Doo to cater your nonprofit organization, be careful, be warned, and make sure you check everything, especially the legality around alcohol service. Also, know and monitor the contract so that you know exactly what's in it. While the service was excellent the night of, and the food was extraordinary, the price tag on this event was far more than we anticipated. We recognize that food costs are up and inflation is a nightmare but this is a very expensive catering service. Scooby-Doo gets a five star on the food quality and the evening of service. They get a one star on the knowledge on working with nonprofits, or at least with our non-profit. They get a negative 5 for not allowing us to get our down-payment back when the Delta virus came and shut everything down for everyone. I feel they should have offered it back with perhaps a small penalty but they did not so we were forced to have to use them a couple years later. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. I told them that I would give an honest review. And this review is that.

We did an assortment of heavy appetizers and there was no labels or menu provided so my guests would have had no idea what they were eating, whether the dish contained meat or not. So I had to scramble and send the menu to the venue, have them print and then cut apart and tape in front of each dish. Part of what I paid for was setup and tear down...only there was no tear down as everything was served in disposable trays. Overall, I was disappointed in the service at this price point.
