My friend and I both got the full breakfast (big yin) and they're fine to swap some things out you might not like (black pudding for a hashbrown? heck yes). The breakfast was massive and neither of us managed to eat it all but wow! so good!!! Will be back soon!

Cosy, warm, lots of wood and cool lighting - and super friendly. Looks like an outpost of Artisan Roast - and apparently it is independent but AR is involved. If the aesthetic didn't give it away, the place stocks AR coffee, cakes and bread. Food is simple - alongside cakes they have bagels, toast, yogurt and granola and do sandwiches at lunch. They will be open later in the evening than some other places - I think he mentioned 6 or 7pm but can't remember which! I only had a cappuccino and a chat with the guy running the place but the service was warm and friendly and the coffee was excellent. Competition for the also excellent CC&T a block along and The Hidden Lane Cafe but a great addition to the local area.

I'm sure you hear this a lot, but the breakfast we had at this restaurant was the best breakfast…read moreI've ever had, no doubt! I had the eggs Benedict, which was the perfect portion, cooked to perfection, and left me wanting more. The sauce was light and mixed with the egg in a way that was just indescribable. The French toast with bacon offered a great mix of sweet and savory. Syrup was available if you wanted it, but honestly, you didn't need it. My wife had the fluffy scrambled eggs, creamy, cheesy, served over toast with bacon and hash browns. This is something she gets often, and she has had none better than the ones here. The service was excellent. It's not the biggest restaurant, but the tables seem to move fairly quickly, and they have outdoor seating on warmer days. The whole experience was a delightful way to start our day. So if you happen to be in Glasgow, Scotland, you have to check out the Wilton Street Pantry, you will not be disappointed!

The reservation that we made was worthwhile as they were booked past 1 PM when we arrived at 11:30 AM. They offered a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside and attended to right away. Our server was excellent the entire time we were there. The menu was condensed with some tempting choices. My wife opted for the Avocado Toast, which was loaded generously. She enjoyed it quite a lot. I tried the marinated cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, mozzarella, rocket, pesto and smoked almonds on toasted sourdough. I was likewise happy with my selection. I can also report that the coffee was very good. My wife had a Macchiato and said it was quite nice as well. Including the food, drinks and a small tip, the total bill was £36. At £18 per person, this was not cheap but I had no problem with the value. The experience including the food, the service and the vibe all added up to make this worth the cost. If we're in Glasgow again, we'd be happy to do brunch here again.

Boom. Still got it…read more Having once never cared if my liquid bean juice was served to me latted, cappuccinod, rich, bitter, Starbucked or Costad, I'm now in a situation where it has to be good (and I mean good) or it's just not worth it. In my brain I have a map of Glasgow. In this map there is a legend (not a folk lore type legend, one of the guide type ones... wait, is legend the right word?) which has several little tabs. - Pubs - Grub - Coffee Under each I have a mental list of all the spot on joints in each area of town for each specific category. For coffee it reads: Merchant City... All That Is Coffee. Keeping it short. Popped in the other day for a quick flat white before a mane chop at the equally awesome Mo Hair (honestly, if you're a man chap and have hair, this place is worth a visit) and left with a perfect example of how a coffee should taste. If you're in this neck of the woods, it's well worth a visit.

In addition to the fantastic coffee is a bookshop and showroom displaying all kinds of art, furniture and exhibitions. It a really minimal and great looking space. Arty as hell in other words. Fortunately the staff were really friendly and it doesn't feel remotely pretentious. We only popped in for a caffeine fix after visiting the nearby record store and were well chuffed with the coffee. It hit the spot nice and proper. Slightly limited food options, but then again, one of the few things it ain't is a restaurant.
