The employees at this location have been consistently professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient for all our banking needs, whether it was for simple daily savings and checking account transactions or matters pertaining to family trust accounts! This location is also physically and aesthetically pleasant to visit; very professional inside but still with a nice homey feel to it! If they also sold books and had a Starbucks Coffee inside, they could be a Barnes & Noble! I am not surprised that this location has successfully thrived all these years!

I opened up my accounts with 1st National Bank of McHenry over 20 years ago. They were recently…read moretaken over by Blackhawk bank. They went from being a well run bank to a terrible bank. When they first transition over I accessed my safety deposit box. It took 20 minutes to get access to it. I figured it was due to learning new processes. Two months later and it still took 10 minutes. Prior to Blackhawk it would take a minute or two. In addition, they have many high fees. As a result, I closed several of my accounts and my safety deposit box. Went to my new safety deposit box at another bank and was in and out in a minute or two. This bank will not last long with their service and fees. There many other better options in the area.
