Because I'm gonna leave CA after 8 months, I wanted Mazda purchased my car back as soon as possible. However, almost all lemon law lawyers told me that it's gonna take about 6 months or more to reach a settlement. Only Mr. McGee told me that it can be done within 3 months. Admittedly, I was not so sure that he could get this done this soon. But it did happen in the end! I signed the contract with Mr. McGee on 11/17/2022. He and sent me the repurchase agreement with Mazda to sign on 1/24/2023. Now I've already returned the car to Mazda and received the check from Mazda, the amount of money is basically how much I paid to buy the car in the first place. During the legal process, the only things I did is providing Mr. McGee with the documents he needed, which is not many. He's been very responsive to my questions all the time. In a word, if you need a lemon law attorney, you should talk to Mr. McGee first because other lemon law lawyers can't be as good as him. This is not a commercial advertisement. I can't say too much about my case but I need to address a small concern. I just finished my deposition a few weeks ago and haven't been contacted yet to go over transcripts and what generally follows in regards to industry standard follow up after being deposed. I have been difficult to reach at times so there's no blame. The team kept me well informed of the process in the past and the law firm has kept me informed of key dates. I see lots of negative reviews here but it seems like these are made with a somewhat ungrounded realistic expectation of what Wilshire has agreed to do for clients in practice and for how much or how long this process actually takes. Everything is in writing and if there was a discrepancy I would hope a client would go to the bar instead of yelp. If there was a concern is great enough and has merit it should be voiced there first to be considered in a peer review process. It gives the law firm a chance to prove that they had no intention of causing harm on purpose. Sometimes these things are so unique that no matter what attorney you chose your satisfaction could not have been a guarantee. But it's a cute phrase.
