Horrific,... Is the only word that describes my extraction with Dr Karkoosh.  His words: " you're…read morenot feeling pain it's pressure" were repeated over and over as I yelled in agony; " I told him, "it hurts, It hurts! It's PAIN!" I was crying, my heart was beating so hard I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I was hyperventilating and close to passing out, and Dr Karkoosh said:  "Don't pass out on me!" and he pinched the bridge of my nose. I have had 4 extractions in my life and NEVER experienced pain. I know the difference between pressure and pain.   As he stitched me up, I felt EVERY needle jab. Which was pretty telling . If you can feel every needle jab,  you're certainly going to feel a tooth being ripped out of your mouth! This nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone. Ellen Jones Community Health center ? What a travesty! What a joke.

Harborside at Ellen Jones is the RMV of dentistry. The entire operation seems to be designed for…read morethe convenience of the administrators, of which there seems an over-abundance. My last visit, they tried to insist I fill out a form listing my personal financial details, despite the fact that I have full dental insurance coverage. The office does not do implants or bridge work, and the staff actively discourages seeking those options. I recently changed dentists and requested my records be sent. After ten days of no response, an administrator told me that because of budget cuts, patients will "just have to wait". Physically and functionally, the office feels like the worst sort of government bureaucracy. My personal opinion is that anywhere else would be a better choice.
