Although I am a patient of Dr. Knafo, I've only spoken to her 3 of the minimum 9 times I had appointments. The other visits I was seen by two other female doctors. Now this isn't a big issue if you are going for smaller concerns like check ups and well woman exams but I had a continuous stomach issue that the lack of consistency in visits very negatively effected. I ran the same tests multiple times and explained the same symptoms/reactions to the doctors each visit and we ran in circles. I understand this is a family practice and not a specialist, but at some point it's up to the doctors to admit they don't know and refer me to someone else. It took a year of this before I broke down crying and begged for them to refer me. I would like to commend Dr. Knafo on what she is TRYING to do. When I did get to meet with her she was very caring and serious about my mental health. ( I have anxiety and depression ) Although, I believe this effected her judgement a little too much, I often felt like she wouldn't take my other physical health concerns seriously until I started taking medication as she strongly urged for me to start taking lexipro whenever I saw her. I've been doing well with my mental health, and would often express to her the reason behind my being so wound up and on the verge of tears in her office is because I was a 19 year old college student battling a mystery issue and running the same tests every visit. Making appointments is easy, everything else over the phone is hit or miss depending on if they feel like taking your call at that time.

But in this case, I noticed the Nigerian name and thought this was not the case. Cynthia Obi was my attending physician. She was fantastic! While so many doctors are just legal drug pushers, she knowledgeable, thorough, attentive to detail, and gave a complete description of the problem that was easy to understand. She spoke of recent research (I've never had a doctor speak of that in 64 years) and gave me a plan of action to follow. My ER nurse wife was impressed. I give her 5 stars, and I almost never give 5 stars. She was truly amazing!

Just a heads up... if you are coming to get tested for Covid and are under 18 with insurance, they…read moreare going to charge you for an office visit before they'll swab you. Then they don't accept insurance for rapid testing so that's another $75 on top of whatever your copay for urgent care is. Oh and they cannot give you an itemized bill after your visit. You need this type of bill to file the claim with insurance yourself to get refunded. Apparently you need to contact medical records for it... Funny how the people who charge you and take your money can only give you a credit card receipt and not an itemized receipt. All this is after they have you waiting 28 minutes from your appointment time. We called beforehand and were not told any of this. They just said... make an appointment online and we'll swab you in the car. As a comparison, we got tested before at another pediatric clinic in cypress and they were able to use our insurance, swab us in the car and were ahead of schedule so we were seen prior to our appointment time. We drove all the way from Cypress because our Montessori school called us today, New Year's Day to inform us that my son's class had an exposure and that we should get tested. You have been warned.
