It's decked out with live plants, some comfortable booths and some tables. It's an attractive space with a good view of the kitchen. It's a solid little space. We ordered the house salad, which is tossed in buttermilk ranch dressing and it's super delicious. Such a great salad to start with before the pizzas. It's large enough for 3 people to share, as there were 2 of us and we had some left over to take home. Brian Olsen has pizza on lock! He is a master at his craft. These pizzas have an amazing flavor, terrific crust and quality ingredients. They serve burgers and a chicken sandwiche, too! We ordered 3 different pizzas... one with garlic cream sauce and green peppers, one with pepperoni, sausage & red peppers and another specialty pizza with the hot honey & arugula with pepperoni and Calabrian chili's. Man, that was some good Za!! Claire was our server and she was terrific, too! Clearing dirty plates, refreshing silverware and beverages. Terrific attitude! All in all, Bettendorf has an amazing pizza restaurant that the locals should be grateful for in their own neighborhood! And, Smash serves beer, wine, and cocktails, too. I wish I lived closer. I'd become a regular and dine in often! Whenever I'm back in town, I'll be sure to stop by to try some different specialty pies, like the elote pie. That one sounded really good! So did the za with wild mushroom & kale!! Maybe one day Smash will create a taco pizza to compete with Happy Joe's, rip Joe Whitey. But, seriously, there is no comparison between the two. Smash is hands down one of the best pizza restaurants in the QC's and is better that many BIG city pizza spots. Thanks for the good time, great food & service!!

(Though not without some skepticism)…read more Currently at the tail end of an 8 hour study day, and my colleagues and I have become shriveled academic raisins in the time dilation. Someone had the brilliant idea of getting a pizza, and I had to wipe the slick pad of slime off of my jaw. We were all in agreement. Then someone suggested "Yo, let's get Papa Johns". I myself Veto'd. "Naw, let's get something LOCAL". Ooo-la-la, we're nearly about to draw out the white table cloth. This will be a well worthy treat. I placed my chips on this place. Sausage with 3 cheeses on one side. In less than 20 minutes I was driving back with a baaaag of hot 'zza. Yeah, a bag. No big deal, but it wasn't a box. Whatever, I was about to eat the whole pie by myself like a raccoon in the passenger seat with no remorse. When I arrived back at the library triumphantly, the whole squad gathered. We peeled back the bag. We were. Underwhelmed. "How much was this?" My friend said. "25 bucks" "Yo, for real?" "Uh, yeah". The sausage was....ground beef. The cheese was....from a bag. My friend, a renowned pizza expert had pointed the crust was dense enough to reveal "it was definitely a frozen crust and reheated" And still, we ate. I mean it's pizza so how bad is it. Aight.
