Coming from South Dakota and driving such a long ways we were hungry, and this place didn't back down from the plate. It was a great experience and the staff here is super nice. Gluten free pasta was amazing! Loved the bugatta - I would totally recommended this! The sauce was so creamy and delicious.

Really wish there was room to leave a 4.5 review. This is one of the better Italian dining experiences in town. I ordered the deep dish 9" pizza - sausage. I managed 3/4 slices, but you could probably split it between two people. It's not Lou Malnattis good, but it definitely did the trick for the craving. The service was great the whole time. While visiting family, we all went to the restaurant. I make better meat sauce, but this was good overall. Certainly better than going to Olive Garden!! Nice but casual spot, plentiful portions, clean and well lit, and decent waitress. It's a favorite of my relatives there. read more

We were in town and ran across this little gem! The sizzling chicken salad was insanely good! The seven layer lasagna was excellent as well and that was just a few of the things we ordered and there was not one disappointment. Can't forget the service, attentive but not overly so. Worst pizza ever! Thick dough, a little warmed up mozzarella, and then like a can of seasoned tomato paste on every slice. Major disappointment. We've enjoyed their other entrees in the past. Will never order pizza again. read more

My dad worked up the street from Lunardi's when I was a kid back in the mid 90s. Used to go with him plenty. Just a great local spot with solid, no frills italian food. Fast forward to this year where on a whim at 38 weeks pregnant I told my husband we should try it as I was craving a pile of carbs. It was such a throwback to be there. A lot hasn't changed and that's a good thing in my opinion. Servers are NICE and ATTENTIVE. Has an old school charm to it without being fancy. This isn't where you'd go for a fancy, refined meal. My first time trying this restaurant was on Sunday, 23 January with a group of girlfriends. The atmosphere was nice and our server was amazing. We kicked off our dinner with Calamari and a lovely bottle of Moscato. The calamari was crispy and juicy, dipping sauce was really nice. The Moscato was nice and sweet with a little fizz--highly recommend! Before the main course came the salad. I choose the creamy garlic dressing, one of the dressings made in-house. Honestly, the dressing was that spectacular even though it came highly recommended but it was still good. For the main course, I ordered the Tilapia Parmesan. I highly don't recommend! It tasted as unappealing as it looked. The tilapia was bland and drowning in an equally as bland "Parmesan" and mushroom sauce. Even the added Parmesan I let our server place on top and the side of lemon slices didn't help. For dessert, I ordered a Cannoli. The shell was nice and crunchy and the filling wasn't too sweet. I wasn't a big fan of the large amount of filling covered in chocolate chips spilling g out of the side, but I'm also not a huge dessert person and still liked it nonetheless. As a bonus to myself, I ordered another entree to go. I had the Ravioli Marsala Florentine and the red wine vinaigrette (made in-house) for the salad. Again, the main entrée was disappointing. It was bland and greasy, and it had an subtle, but noticeable, unpleasant sweetness (I'm going to assume it's from the Marsala wine used). The vinaigrette was also pretty oily but the tang from the red wine vinegar was pronounced and I did enjoy it. Overall, I had a good experience and would visit again. I definitely would like to try another appetizer and wine from them. As for the main course, I think I'll try a tomato-based sauce dish. read more

Wonderful deep dish! I never eat the crust, but this was so delicious! 9" was big enough for 2! Meatball sub was delicious too. Minestrone soup was full of veggies and very good. Side salad was a fresh & full. Tiramisu was wonderful! Service was attentive & friendly. read more

Don't be fooled by the strip mall location. This is a great Italian restaurant! After reading a lot of great reviews I had planned on eating here a while ago, only to find it was closed due to a fire. Very happy it opened back up! Large portions, friendly service and nice atmosphere. read more

My sisters and I visited here while out of town shopping. We had less than a five minute wait to be seated. The drinks were good, and the food was decent. The blood Mary my sister ordered was on the higher quality end, and there was a drink "Wedding" something with coconut liquor that was really good. My sister liked the "Lunardi's" drink with tequila and vodka, but I thought that one was way too strong, I had the Hero Pasta, one sister had the Carbonara, and the other a spinach salad. The garlic dressing on the salads was really good, as was the bread served with the main entrees. Both pasta dishes were good, but I felt the salad looked a little underwhelming. The server was efficient and polite. The ambiance was fairly upbeat. I wouldn't call it loud, but it was enough not to be intimate on a Saturday night. Nothing really stood out as outstanding, hence the four stars instead of five. I would recommend going here over Olive Garden. read more

Went here for the first time on a Thursday evening and was seated immediately. Our waiter was very friendly/attentive and I liked the ambiance of the restaurant. My boyfriend got a 9" deep pan pizza which arrived quicker than the wait time for it claimed (a good surprise). I got the alfredo ravioli which was good, but very rich and a bit simple. My only complaint really was the price compared to the portion. The pasta was $20 and the portion I received was comparable to that of a lunch portion at other restaurants, so there were no leftovers. I felt I could've got a dish equally as good for a much lower price elsewhere, which is why I'm not sure if I will be back. read more

This long time Quad City Restaurant staple in the little strip shops be hind the Northwest Bank and on the road just before you get to the Brady Street exit of North Park Mall is probably of a just a few left the longest restaurants in the Quad Cities Area. If you want real authentic and exceptionally good Italian food then this is where to eat. They serve some of the best lasagna ever. Were talk-in o over 3-4 inches thick here folks, of nummy goodness. The Zitti is to die for! Every thing is great and won't wanting in either flavor or fullness! But leave room for dessert! Their Tiramisu and cannolis are to die for! The have a full bar as well to go with your meal or while you wait for your party or meal at the table enjoying each other. The setting is that old feel 70's ish heavy wood booths with the high back in a dark stain along the walls. These give parties some sense of privacy and separation at dinner. There are also tables for larger parties along the windows and in the restaurant. Pitchers and paintings hang on the walls. The Service has always been great! Never been disappointed. Why would anyone ever go to that other place in the North Park Mall Parking Lot when this place is, so much better?! Except when they're over flowing and can't get a set. That should be the case. Lunardi's is my absolute favorite and I am never dissatisfied when I go there. I usually order the Chicken Marsala or the Lasagna. The only negative thing I have to say is that there old fried calamari was super good, they changed it and now it is not that great. Also, they are no longer open for lunch so I don't go there as often as I used to :( read more

Lunardi's is amazing. We go in and they are very friendly, give us a table with out problems, and are very hospitable. The wine was very rich and good tasting, the food was delicious. I went with friends and we got different food to try it out and it was perfect. I recommend the Italian dressing and Creamy Garlic if you get a salad as a side. Their pasta and soups are tasteful and very enjoyed by me and my friends. The environment was very nice. All of the appliances were clean and working, the location was decent, and the interior look was stylish and fancy, the look was everything I would expect out of an Italian restaurant. read more

I hadn't dined in at Lunardi's for a year or so - but did so last night. We usually just order their Chicago style pizza as take away, which is jaw dropping delicious. But, as a change, we decided to have a proper Italian meal in the restaurant. Lunardi's is tucked away in a strip mall, surprising for an eatery of this quality. Or what had been. Some minor remodeling has taken place since I last ate there, and no longer do you feel as though you're stepping into a little Italian restaurant in NYC. No more Frank Sinatra music playing softly in the background & the walls are no longer decorated with Italian themed art, a number of the intimate booths have been replaced with tables for 4. The service remains excellent. We were promptly seated, drink orders taken & served in a timely manner. I ordered my usual - a starter of Minestrone & Fettuccine Alfredo as an entree. The soup tasted nothing like it used to. Previously, it had a bite to it & was flavorfully spicy. This time it was bland, tasting watered down with none of the robustness of before. The pasta was excellent, cooked perfectly al dente. However, the Alfredo sauce was somewhat thin & not nearly as cheesy as it had been in my previous visits. My dining mates were happy with their meals that included lasagna (a portion large enough for 3), sweet Italian sausage with sun dried tomatoes & spaghettini in a Parmesan sauce, and baked salmon. All were deemed very good. The accompanying salads were large, the vegetables & lettuce were fresh & crisp. I sampled the creamy garlic dressing & it was wonderful. The 3 children with us, all ordered macaroni & cheese with fries, off of the children's menu. The macaroni & cheese was simply Kraft dinner - a sacrilege in an Italian eatery. Our bill was on the high side, but that was due to the pricey mixed drinks. I'm sure I'll return, but will hesitate to repeat my order from last night. read more

I have loved this place for years and go here every time I am in town. I originally had lasagna and fell in love. Red sauce is basic but great. I love the sausage and I never like sausage. Lots of sage in the sausage and I normally don't like sage. Marsala is an actual creamy Marsala which is unusual anymore and it is sweet and wonderful! Mushrooms in the sauce are just what they should be. My husband tried something new which I thought sounded gross but you know it, yes please. From out of town I was recommended the lasagna, which is why I came. The first time we went in they gave us a 30 minute wait time while there were open tables. While the lasagna is good they should offer it in smaller portions so you don't have to pay $20. As for the rest of the dishes they lacked flavor or visual appeal, and still had a higher price point then what you would expect from a strip mall restaurant. We went to Lunardi's over the weekend and had a very good experience. It was my second visit, and I just really enjoy this restaurant. Our waitress was great, and it was homecoming night somewhere so opportunities for people-watching abounded. I ordered Lunardi's famous lasagna and it didn't disappoint. It came out, cheese still bubbling, portioned large enough to feed a small village for a week. I had a ton of leftovers, naturally, and was able to inspect the various layers; one is solid meat and another is PEPPERONI. Amazing. My companion ordered fettucini alfredo that was impossibly creamy and entirely delectable. The salad that came with our entrees was pretty forgettable, but they were also completely unnecessary, as we left Lunardi's very satisfied. Lunardi's is a must-try for the Quad City pasta enthusiast (roughly 98% of the population, right?). I look forward to coming back! read more
