A+ Location - Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Made the journey to this location because they had a North Carolina DMV Machine available - Anyways, It didn't work out for me - But, I was able to do a bunch of shopping. They have a nice and fresh selection of produce; - Shelves are stocked with fresh items.

Harris Teeter is a nice grocery store. It reminded me a lot of a Fresh Market, Giant Eagle Market District or upscale Publix. With the added ambiance and wood floors in some aisles, you will pay a premium on some products for the experience. As with any grocery store, know your prices and what's on sale. I'm from out of town, so I was looking for some things for my hotel room, beer, water, alcohol, snacks, and booze were on my list. I walked around for a good 20 minutes or so checking things out and will say for those items, nothing caught my eye. I think I spent less than $2 on two bottles of water. To get the sale price, I had to flag down an employee who was able to scan the card. That's one thing I like about Publix is you don't need a card to get the sale price! It seemed pretty new as of March 2020, so hopefully they keep it looking all spic 'n span. But all of that upkeep comes at a cost and I didn't overspend on some of the beer options available.

There needs to be more staffed checkout lanes to aid those who are physically disabled like myself.

It's a very pleasant shopping experience here and found the prices to be similar to Publix.

First visit to Harris Teeter on Morrison Boulevard, and honestly, this place is massive…read more I made the trip for one reason and one reason only: Sumo mandarins. The internet told me they were in stock. The internet lied. No Sumos. Tragic. Still, this ended up being one of the nicest Harris Teeters I have visited in Charlotte. Beautiful layout. Super clean. Huge aisles. Plenty of parking. They even have a covered grocery pickup area and staff helping customers load groceries into their cars, which feels delightfully old-school these days. I wandered around way longer than I planned because this store just keeps going. Pharmacy, hot bar, prepared foods, giant self-checkout area, demos happening in-store, clearance sections, everything. At one point somebody was carving what looked like prime rib or rib roast and it smelled incredible. Ended up leaving with Memorial Day supplies instead. Hot dogs, rye bread, bread and butter pickles, cookies, and some buy-one-get-one frozen double-fried shrimp that air fryer people already know is dangerous behavior. I also grabbed some Halo mandarins to soften the emotional blow of the missing Sumos. One thing I really liked: a lot of the fruit was kept in refrigerated cases. Smart move for freshness and probably helps keep fruit flies and gnats under control during the Carolina heat. Coming from Northern California, where citrus practically appears year-round without effort, I am still adjusting to Southeast produce seasons. Apparently Sumo season is basically over here already, so lesson learned. Even without the Sumos, this store was worth the trip. If you are in the SouthPark area and enjoy grocery stores the way some people enjoy museums, this Harris Teeter is an experience. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Go explore your grocery stores too.

There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.
