I've only been here a couple of times. Only walked around the store once, with my son, to find some snacks because we were just hanging out there and I wanted to get him out the apartment. I do like the store and the fact its across the street from a library (another place i like being...I like that library but plaza Midwood and hickory Grove are many favorites). I would not recommend this place I went to Starbucks in Harris teeter and place a order for 1 cake pop and 1 gr caramel macchiato first I was handed the cake pop with out a bag and the caramel macchiato was never made after ten minutes the lady asked why we were still sitting there I said I was waiting for my drink and she said you never placed a order for a drink read more

It had been so long since I've visited this HT, I forgot how much I like it. This store is smaller than some, but I think they did a great job with the space. The layout is great and it's pretty clean - almost appears to be one of their more upgraded stores. They don't have very many registers here, but did manage to squeeze in a few self checkout lanes, much appreciated. When I'm back in the area, I'd stop in again. read more

I rarely come to this location even though it's close to my job. It's a nice location, but the only thing I don't like is that it's 2 floors. So they have like lotions, health and more beauty things on the second floor so if you have to get anything in that area, you are forced to go upstairs. You can either take the elevator, which is useful if you have a cart, or you can take the stairs if you like. They do have a bar area upstairs, though, so if you would like wine, you can definitely get one. There are also plenty of seats and tables upstairs, so if you want to eat lunch or just something you bought to eat from there, you can definitely sit and enjoy a meal there. They also have an outside patio area with chairs and a table, which you can definitely enjoy when the weather is nice. They do have a Starbucks inside this location, which is nice. They have a deli section, sushi, some hot foods. They have a salad bar which has plenty of great fresh ingredients. The only thing I don't like is that they don't have a hot food bar or an Asian bar. I like having those options so that I have something hot to pair with my salad. Other than that, it's not a bad location. They have an open parking lot, but their parking is limited, so if you go during peak hours, it can get full, and you will have to drive around until you can snag a spot. read more

I've been having issues with pickup over charging me and this is my third HT in the area. So far not only have I not been overcharged or incorrectly billed for anything but I am blown away by their customer service. Parking looks crazy but I've never had a probably when I have needed to run in to grab something. It's literally worth driving the extra miles passing two other Teeters to come here! read more

It's bigger on the inside because the store is on two stories. There's a flight of stairs and an elevator that moves quickly and has enough room for at least three shopping carts. This Teeter has the usual excellent shopping experience with well stocked and well leveled shelves, plenty of room to move about, bright lights and shopping carts where all four wheels work great. Seafood, butcher, deli, huge cheese bunker, lots of produce. Upstairs, a large selection of beer and wine. read more

I've run, drove, cycled, and walked by this Harris Teeter on numerous occasions, but since it's not the "closest" HT to my vicinity, I rarely go in (except on occasion to use the water fountain on said runs). Recently visited. The store is very clean, and doesn't really seem all that busy. The parking lot is a little tiny (probably limits how many people can be in the store at a given time). I think the motivation for me to go here more is that all the chips, cookies, and wine is located on the 2nd floor. I'm normally not a cart shopper, so I have the little hand basket I carry around while making my selections. Walking up the flights of stairs to get up to the 2nd floor really makes you re-question if you really want chips or cookies. Yes, there's an elevator, but I usually just shame myself since I don't have anything that has wheels with me to justify using it. The upstairs bar seems to be the place to hang out... it was definitely full on a Saturday afternoon. You can walk out onto the outdoor space and hang out. Hidden gem. read more

Cool Harris Teeter in a popular neighborhood. Between home and my girlfriend's place I pass by four Harris Teeters and this one is my favorite. It beats the overcrowded one in Plaza Midwood by a mile. The layout is certainly weird. Most food is on the bottom floor. They have a spiral-ish staircase and small elevator leading to the second floor. Up there is a full service wine and beer bar with ample seating and an outdoor patio where they play live music on the regular. (You can even hear the live music from your car waiting for the light at the intersection.) Upstairs has a hodge-podge of other items including pharmacy and chips and crackers. I guess when you think about it, what else could they have put up here? Certainly nothing perishable or refrigerated. Prices are the same as any other Harris Teeter: a bit high. It's still not Whole Paycheck though. Service has always been helpful for me here. Seems to me that HT likes to employ local teenagers - it's like a running trend in Charlotte. Also, it's the only place you can buy tickets for the Carolina Renaissance Festival at a $1 discount (and skip the line to buy at the festival itself). read more

Sooooooooo....... I'm pretty much mind blown about how amazing the bar is at this location. My husband and I went to restaurant week for dinner but heard that the harris teeter bar had really good drink specials so we had to check it out. We mosey upstairs and the wine bar is happening!!!! There is live music, friendly bar tenders, and drink specials. Wine is half off by the glass from 4-9 on Fridays along with 3.00 craft beer specials. What a deal. My bar tab was $12 and We had 4 glasses of wine!!! We will be back for sure. read more

My sister recently moved to Charlotte and has been raving about the "Taj MahTeeter" nearby, so when I visited over Thanksgiving we had to visit. It's your standard grocery store, except that it has an elevator or winding staircase bringing you to the second level, which houses a bar! Not only can you drink with friends here, but there is a beautiful balcony outside where you can see the sunset, and they have local beers on tap. Why can't all grocery stores be this user-friendly? read more

Along came Kroger.... ....and the party ended. This used to be a great grocery store. Then, for some insane reason, they closed it and built a building that's way too big for the intersection, cannot understand how the design got through the city planning commission. Adding insult to injury, some moron chose to make this new store 2 levels and it's a real pain in the you know what. All that said, it was still a pretty good grocery store. (none of that is on Kroger) Then Kroger bought them -- game over. -- The store is filthy. The vegetable and milk sections especially so (see picture). This is true at East Blvd also. -- The quality of the meat is still good, but after 4.30pm they never have anyone behind the counter that can cut meat. If a person wanted to stop in after work and request a specific cut of meat, no can do. (the meat counter at Southpark is beyond bad, just filthy) -- They have lots of selections of cheese, pretty much always very old. A while back I opened my cheese at home and behind the label where it wasn't visible, covered in nasty mold. -- The vegetables and vegetable prices are just terrible, look at the corn in the attached picture. The signage is terrible..."extra large artichokes", are anything but that. White corn, is yellow at least half the time. Etc... I've given up and started shopping at Publix, the store is SPOTLESS. The prices are GREAT. The quality of the vegetable products is EXCELLENT. Publix isn't nearly as convenient but at this point I'd seriously be worried about catching some kind of disease from the vegetable section of the Harris Teeter in Myers Park. read more

Met some friends at the upstairs wine, beer and beverage bar to hear a local singing talent one evening recently. I did not realize HT had performers come in as well as the bar and outside balcony seating at this particular HT in Myers Park! We had a great time and the local craft beer selection (as well as the wine selection) at the bar were very good!! Also prices of wine and beer were on special (local craft beer for $4 and $5). Was here yesterday. This is a really nicely laid out Harris Teeter and a very busy one I might add. Always cars coming in and out in the parking lot and part of a strip mall. Funky-cool is the elevators. It's like once you step out of the elevator it's like walking into a wine store. Nice chairs and table just like a bar or restaurant. Now, on the other side of that is more aisles of health and beauty aid. Staff is friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. Impressive customer service. Nice selection of exotic fruits and vegetables versus that of publix or even Trader Joe's. Tell me where would you find Dragon Fruit or Rambutan- only in Asian groceries stores. My favorite cooked items to grab and go here is the Hickory Apple Pork Loin, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Slice it up and make an amazing Cuban Sandwich with left overs. This review is mostly about the amazing wine bar. Who knew supermarkets had wine bars. A work friend and I went here today at 6:30 to grab a glass. The special was half priced rosé so we grabbed a $6 glass. It was super tasty, a little bitter but had notes of strawberries. The wine sommelier was great and friendly! We sat outside and watched the bustle of the charlotte working class heading home. It was a nice day and we saw the sunset. The couches outside are super comfy and there was great shade. The overall ambience was great and it was an amazing way to unwind after a day at work. Head over to grab a drink and relax on the deck. read more

I'm basing this review on my interactions with SANQUAN. I called the store to make sure an item was available prior to arriving. He was very polite, personable and helpful. When I arrived at the store moments later, he had the items I requested set aside for me and I checked out. I thanked him, but I still wanted to do a review. Nice job on the remodel!!! I almost feel underdressed and I am in work business attire!! My review is strictly on the wine bar area/concept. I came here to meet a friend for a glass of vino. You (well I...let's be honest) immediately feel like you're an elitist roaming around amongst those who live in this neighborhood. (I just looked to my left and I see a very trendy mom with her very trendy child both pushing a shopping cart. The child has his own mini cart provided by Harris Teeter) it's crazy!! Location: corner of Providence and Queens. Perfect if you are coming from Cotswold or from that direction but TERRIBLE if you are coming from Uptown or the opposite direction. I was coming from Uptown during rush hour traffic and had to make a left to get to the parking lot causing traffic making those behind me wait. Eek! Once inside the view from the upper level is really great. I am watching the sun set through the trees! Wine Selection: HUGE. I think it's bigger than the Tajma-teeter selection. My beef?? They copied Whole Foods' with the wine bar at the top in a way. There is a wine bar at the top with a wine by the glass dispenser. You load a reusable card with whatever amount put it in the machine and pick you liquid. Whole foods had that first. This Teeters only has 9 to choose from...and the white I chose was warm. Boo. Not impressed. They do, however have a GREAT balcony. I'd come back in the spring and summer time JUST to sip'n'sun on that patio. The wine bar is also next to...Dorritos?? Are those fig newtons?? Why they decided to put non wine friendly foods next to the wine bar is a little off. I was hoping to grab some cheeses while I was up here but not so much. They don't offer small plates for purchase. UPDATE:wine lady just put out a cheese and grape plate...is it rude to grab the entire thing and eat it?! Probably. I like the wine bar...it's clean and inviting but I just wish it would have offered me something different other than another Whole Foids situation. It's a good HT. They are all fairly the same. There are some price differences from store to store which is always interesting to me. Good selection and quality of store brands available. The store layout is on two levels and that can be a pain sometimes, but I appreciate that they have a nice patio on the second floor. Parking isn't bad here as there a more than two entrance/exits. Coming into this store from the opposing directions during morning or evening rush hours can be a pain though. read more

I just based on my first and one experience about this place. I needed lunch in between my 2 doctor appointment near by. Saw there's Deli in this supermarket, I stepped in to see their deli section looks so good & hearty. Seeing they have $6 custom lunch box that's really meet my budget as well. Got an entree with 2 sides for $6. And a medium size soup. I can tell the guy really has his heart in customer. It's really good in both the taste and the amount in the box. Thanks! I was impressed. This Harris Teeter is most def the top one I have been to. It has a nice big open layout for easy shopping. Oh and a staircase and elevator. Why would they need this you ask? Because there is a beer and wine bar upstairs. Yes all with a band on the weekend. I usually come here Friday afternoons and I hear the band jamming away. It's not the only Harris Teeter with a bar, but to me it's the fanciest. Customer service has always been good here too. I shop here mostly for the sweet bakery items I need for Friday's nights. Unfortunately by the time I shop a lot is gone. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. read more

Have the review your friendly neighborhood HT! I have never had any problems while shopping at this HT. The whole store is laid out pretty logically. My only complaint is that it is two levels, and I always have to make a couple trips up-and-down because I am a pretty inefficient shopper. Always a great selection of produce, fresh meats, beers, and anything else you can imagine. FAVORITE PART ABOUT THIS HT?!? There is an awesome bar upstairs. I had been meaning and meaning and meaning to check it out, and finally did. I bellied up with a book, ordered an Appalachian Mountain Brewing Double-IPA and zoomed through a couple chapters. When I bookmarked my spot, Trevor sidled over and we had a great chat. They have great specials throughout the week, and live music two nights (I think) a week. As far as Harris Teeters go, unless you install Netflix on each buggy, you're not beating this location. read more

This store is located very close to my house, but I prefer not to shop here. There are never enough check out lanes open. The front of the grocery store always looks disorganized and not prepared to take care of their customers. I visited today to pick up just a couple of items and there were only two attended lines and there were no less than 10 people in each of these lines.. I watched the manager in charge look at the lines and then she proceeded to go outside to bring in two shopping carts. This HT does not have a wide selection of groceries as compared to the HT on East Blvd. Please work on your check out process and maybe I will come back. read more

Sweet little Harris Teeter in Charlotte, NC., although, it's not so little. Something I have never seen in a grocery store is an upstairs! You can take the elevator or stairs. They have online shopping, and as I observed, the employees gather the food in paper bags, then load them into lockers. I don't know how that works with ice cream - perhaps the lockers are chilled? There is a small Starbucks inside with free wifi. More on that in a future review. As with everything in this area of Charlotte, the parking lot is small and hard to maneuver, and he signage is lacking. Just happened to pass it and pulled in. read more

Aesthetically, this is probably the nicest Teeter from the outside. The first few times I went to this location, the split level was kind of annoying, but now I have grown to like it. It makes the store a little unique and you get some decent exercise walking up and down the stairs. The store in general is clean and nice and has what you expect a Teeter to have, but.....the best part is the upstairs bar. This thing is a hidden gem. They have drink specials most nights and you can get some good quality booze for cheap. If you're hungry...just walked into the next aisle and grab some Cheez-It's. If it's nice out, they have a great balcony as well. They even had some nice live background music. The first time I visited the bar, barely anyone was standing, but they were having a great time....amazing. I admittedly don't visit this bar enough, but it is pretty great. read more

Harris Teeters dominate Charlotte and provide good service, have added more organic selections, and are clean and well maintained. It is known as being pricey, but if you shop carefully you can find good bargins and sales. I do not use it for all my shopping needs since I like the variety offered in shopping different places which offer more local and lower processed foods like Trader Joes and farmers' markets. The Myers Park store has been a little gem. There has been a grocery store in this location for decades. It used to be an A&P, now it's a H-T! This location has friendly staff and well maintained. What I love (have loved) about this particular H-T is that it is small. You can get in and out fast without having to cover miles of isles. They call it "Harris Teeter Express". It feels like a neighborhood store, with a deli, meat counter and good selection of what you need. It doesn't carry everything the larger stores do, but it has everything you need most days. There are several larger H-T stores nearby if you are missing anything: East Blvd, Cotswold, and the flagship Morrocroft across from Southpark. Sadly this store is going to be torn down soon and replaced with a larger store next to the current location ( where Myers Park Hardware used to be). We'll see how I like it when it opens, but right now I am unhappy that I am loosing my "Teeny Teeter". The new store frame is towering over the Providence/Providence - Queens/Queens intersection. It really changes the character of the intersection. Not that it has much to do with review of the store itself but the intersection traffic backs up even with two green lights. The left lane is blocked by left turning cars, and the right lane blocked by cars turning right held back by no right turn. It would have been nice if H-T had used the opportunity to improve the intersection and incorporated into the project a badly needed proper right turn lane. Instead, it took the sliver of right turn lane away, foreshadowing worse backups at this high traffic intersection. read more

I know of several Harris Teeters that have bars in them, but this was my first time visiting one. It's quaint, quiet, and they have really good specials and prices. Gave this HT a try after the remodel. My normal one is the East Blvd location. Horrible produce selection. More than one dairy/frozen item was close to expiring. I picked up a frozen pizza about to expire in 2 days. I would not have been a happy camper if I took it home and went to enjoy the Home Run Inn goodness a week later and found it was expired. My purpose of the trip was to restock on Fage yogurt. I couldn't buy many as they were expiring in 4 days. I will stick to the East Blvd and Morrocroft locations. Until Publix opens closer, then I'll give that a try. read more

We had a rain check on a sale item and tried to use it yesterday and were told, "We don't honor those kind anymore." What? What do you mean? This particular Harris Teeter must have the worst management team ever. There are very good Harris Teeters in Charlotte, but this is not one of them. Ever since they opened they have been a disappointment. They are rude, unhelpful, and I can tell you this, unlike Publix, shopping is definitely NOT a pleasure here. We had the worst experience at the HT here on Providence. Seriously. The clerk gave me a look instead of saying hi when I switched checkout aisles to use hers and even said hi. Then she starts almost throwing the items after insanely swiping them. My wife and I got so upset that I asked, "are we in a hurry?" And my wife just started saying wow. The woman said they get things moving fast. Even the guy that was putting them in the bags just said well we like to keep it flowing at a certain rate. What was there problem? Really? So I look back and guess how many people were behind us. None! read more

Most Harris Teeter locations live up to their unnecessarily high prices with environments that are professional and inviting. I love this location and usually pop in after a late night class at Queens University. Everything is well put together and they've done a nice job with the modeling. I've never had an issue with anything I've purchased. Everyone from the deli/bakery clerk to the cashier to the SBUX associates make each experience a pleasant one. read more

When I asked a question that he said he had to ask the manager about, he turned around and lifted his walkie to his mouth but then just looked right at me and said "the manager said no"?
