I didn't see any single count cinnamon rolls, so I searched for my backup treat, which the oatmeal raisin cookies! Their 12-count cookies were on sale for $4.99! I searched the table and found only two containers of oatmeal raisin cookies! They had a price of $5.99 instead of the sale price of $4.99! I walked to the bakery counter to make sure the cookies were on sale, and the clerk told me that the cookies were baked before the sale date! So I asked when was the sale date, and I was told the sale started on Wednesday, which made these cookies four days old! I asked the clerk if she had any freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies, and she told me that they are not a big seller, so they don't bake them daily like the other cookies! Then I asked her, since the cookies were four days old, would she be willing to knock something off the price! She informed me that they don't do that and if I wanted the cookies, I had to pay the sale price! I thanked her for her customer service! I have decided that this particular location is very underrated. From their super quick check out lines to their well-stocked shelves of items not carried by their local competitors. I have always considered Harris Teeter one of the more costly grocery stores in this area, but that is not accurate. After a few trips into this store to pick up a few items that aren't carried across the street (at Food Lion), I realized that Harris Teeter is often times a lot less expensive. From now on... I like Harris Teeter as a whole but because of bad customer service at the Highland Creek store, I decided to start going to this location more regularly. The only negative experience I've had with this store happened yesterday. The bagger decided to comment on every item I bought, the quality and price. Then he was horsing around with the cashier and almost knocked me down as I was leaving. I know these are teenagers but his behavior was totally unacceptable. I'm sure it's hard to find good help, but Harris Teeter needs to be very clear about the professionalism that's required for the job. I've never seen anything like this at Publix! read more

Unpleasant experience with Co-Manager, Jeremy, at this store. Purchased a watermelon from this location last night, cut it open, and it was discolored inside. Took the watermelon back to the same location around 6:15 am this morning. Spoke to a Harris Teeter Associate at the customer service desk, provided my receipt, the watermelon, and explained the reason for my return while Jeremy watched from the end of the customer service counter. The associate began processing my return and I asked if the watermelon was a Harris Teeter Farmers Market item, and the associate was not sure and asked Jeremy, to which Jeremy confirmed that it was a Farmers Market Item. I then inquired if the refund was a double money back or will it be replaced with a like item? Again, the associate asked Jeremy if he can double the money back, then Jeremy asked if I purchased the watermelon from Harris Teeter, to which I responded yes, as he [Jeremy] was present last night when I purchased it. Next, Jeremy told the associate "DON'T DOUBLE ANY THING BACK," so I asked Jeremy why is he responding in such a hostile manner to which Jeremy said "he didn't like my response." I asked him what kind of response was he expecting? and Jeremy couldn't explain himself, then in a hostile tone, Jeremy stated "Well we don't open the customer service counter until 7 am so we really don't suppose to be doing any returns so we are doing you a favor." Then, I asked Jeremy, why didn't he explain that before the associate began the return? Then, Jeremy walked behind the customer service counter and points to a small sign that shows customer service hours began at 7am. Apparently, the associate realized Jeremy was acting hostile and erratic as the associate processed the refund and doubled my money back despite Jeremy's condemnation. I asked Jeremy to please provide the name of his district manager as his behavior is unwarranted, then Jeremy told the associate to "Go ahead and double her money," after the associated had already done so. Prior to leaving the store, Jeremy's attempted to downplay or explain away his condescending attitude with saying he had worked in produce for 20 years and hadn't seen many bad watermelons. Harris Teeter Senior Management - Please coach Jeremy on how to interact with customers as he does not exude the characteristics of a leader and should not be in a leadership position. Jeremy's behavior is sure to have a bad influence on the rest of your staff members that is committed to giving customers a pleasant experience. Please do not allow this. We moved to this area of Concord about two years ago and I have given my business to this store but I cannot go there any long as I have never been to a Harris Teeter as dirty as this one. Trash all outside and inside on the grounds and floors. Not a very inviting reflection on the store. I now go out of my way to shop at Publix. read more

My son was out of his blood pressure medicine. He asked the pharmacist for 2 doses to get him through until his appointment in 3 days. She refused. We went to David's Pharmacy and with a little paperwork and a smile my son was able to get the 2 BP pills. Harris Teeter, try some kindness and service. read more

I really like the convenience of online ordering in today's conditions but I have noticed on my last three pickups that I am getting expired items or with a day or two of expiration. This is a known issue with Harris Teeter and the main reason why I switched from the George Lyles store to the Poplar Tent store. I was in the habit of checking expirations while shopping in the store. I guess that I have a choice, stop shopping online or stop shopping Harris Teeter. read more

I've never been to this Harris Teeter and not found what I'm looking for. Today it was dessert. I ended up getting a "Mega Cupcake" - a tasty vanilla cupcake with cream cheese frosting swirled so high it might as well be Marge Simpson's hair. The actual cupCAKE is great - the cream cheese frosting is tasty, but sitting in my bowl is about 3 inches of frosting I can't even look at. Ok, maybe I'm reviewing my choice of dessert and not really Harris Teeter, after all. Case in point: This HT location is great, skip the Mega Cupcake. read more

I tried this HT instead of the one closer to my house, hoping for a better experience. Plus they have a Starbucks. The highlight of the trip was the coffee, the rest was the same mediocre experience I have at the store closer to me. This store does seem to be busier, and the aisles seem cramped with displays As a former retail manager, I notice things like that. I wanted to buy some of their $1.99 lb chicken breast from the meat counter, but the display was empty. Everything else was full, just not the eVIC special chicken breasts. I decided to shop the rest of the store and then come back. Upon returning, the chicken spot was still empty. I asked the guy filling the ground beef section for help, and he walked behind the counter. I guess the chicken was sitting in a box there, because when I asked for 6 pieces he grabbed them and bagged them quickly. I wonder why they were just sitting there instead of in the display case? No biggie, after a couple of minutes I was on my way. You would think the guy would fill the display case now, right? Especially to get them refrigerated. Nope, back to the ground beef section he went to complete his task. Smh. At the checkout, there was nobody to assist in bagging, except the cashier herself. One of my pet peeves about the HT by my house is that they offer to have someone take groceries to my car. Huh, must be a Publix opening nearby soon. I have shopped at that location for 7 years, nobody ever offered that service until the Publix location was announced. The problem with the offer of assistance is that they don't have anyone to perform the carry out. So if you take them up on their offer, you have to wait for them to find someone. That wasn't a problem at the location being reviewed. There wasn't an offer, nor was their anyone who could have helped anyway. I guess they don't have a Publix opening nearby lol. read more

This is my neighborhood Teeter. I'm in here at least once a week. I've found the staff to be hit or miss. They are usually pleasant but at times they've been distracted. The checkout staff is young and they often have other priorities. I recently endured a checkout experience where I had to listen to the cashier and bagger talk about the party that they went to the night before. They were both oblivious to the lack of customer service they were providing or the negative image they were fostering. Harris Teeter prices can be high but they do often run good specials with their VIC program. This location in general offers a lot less than some of the inner city Charlotte locations. Less fresh bread options, less of an international section, no pizza bar or bread bar, etc. The service in the deli and butcher are on constant rotation. You may be pleased with your service on Tuesday's and Thursday's but otherwise, well... I've had the bakery workers get annoyed when placing a cake order or having them write a message on a cake from the case. I've even had one spell the message wrong after I had to track her down. Fail. You'll find samples aplenty with each visit. My concern here is that the samples aren't pre-toothpicked. Instead the toothpicks are piled in front of the samples and you have to rummage for one before stabbing your own meat, cheese or fruit. Call me crazy but when other people put their fingers all over the other toothpicks I say it defeats the purpose. I think patrons could more easily grab an apple slice without touching other apple slices far easier than they can grab a toothpick without molesting other toothpicks. Another Fail. Positives = Starbucks inside. Friendly, knowledgeable pharmacy staff. All in all, it's a grocery store. Go in, get what you need and get out. I've rated them 3 stars because they are close to home and they meet my needs. I get my prescriptions, my food and my coffee and I'm on my way. read more

One of my preferred Harris Teeters. Always seems to be well stocked. This is also my main pharmacy. The ladies that work there are fantastic. They've helped me in the past with some insurance issues and they genuinely seem to care about their customers. read more

Harris Teeter itself is pretty standard, but Jimmy is the absolute best. Absolutely fantastic guy, he helped with all our questions when it came to meat products. Jimmy is the sole reason for this 5 star yelp review. Jimmy deserves a raise. read more

My current HT. I've gone to many others though and this one is the best.

After living in the south for over five years now, I have been assimilated. We do most of our shopping at Sam's, but you can't buy everything in bulk so Harris Teeter has become my odds and ends grocery store. We normally go to the Renaissance Square location, but I do venture over to this one when I have to get gas, do some banking or send some post off. They have a better selection of wines and craft beers here for sure. They also carry Lebanon Bologna here and since that is Central PA staple, I makes me hate Harris Teeter a little less. They just put in a pizza bar that will open on Monday 04/24/17. read more

I spend way way too much time and money grocery shopping, so I expect good customer service and a nice selection of products. This Harris Teeter is ok but it seems they need more employees. Most of the employees I've encountered have been friendly; so that's a plus. I normally shop at publix so when I need help finding something, a employee is always close by and willing to help. At this particular store you have to hunt for someone to help you. The store is clean and the shelves are stocked... so I'm willing to be a return customer. I just hope they are able to hire more people. read more

This is my local Harris Teeter, I think there is one on almost every corner in Charlotte. The selection is always great. They're never out of items and the produce is fresh. It's great that there's a Starbucks inside too. My kids love the samples and cookies. Harris Teeter is pricier than other stores but usually worth it to me because I can always find what I need in a clean store with helpful and friendly employees. read more

This Harris Teeter is pretty solid overall. Staff is friendly and store is well maintained. The only gripe I have is that I come often for specialty items and lately I have been a bit disappointed. Among other things, I have recently discovered they do not carry vanilla sugar, malt syrup, or low-fat chicken sausage. They do, however, have two Red Boxes, which makes it more likely they'll have what you are looking for. read more

Be sure to check expiration dates! On two separate occasions, I found 13 lb bags of Purina Naturals Cat Food with an April 2017 expiration date. The bags were outdated by months! The first time, I pulled the expired product from the shelf, placed it on the floor and alerted the cashier and service desk when I checked out assuming someone would promptly resolve the issue. Fast forward 4-6 weeks . . . I go to purchase another 13 lb bag of Purina Naturals Dry Cat food only to find bags with an April 2017 expiration date again! Upon checking out I again brought the expired pet food to the cashier's attention and was told by a snappy, condescending cashier that it is not her problem and I should speak with management. I brought the matter to the attention of an assistant manager at the service desk (and followed up by contacting HT corporate). I don't know if the problem with outdated pet food has been resolved - - I would hope - - but, after finding outdated pet food on two separate occasions, I now purchase my pet food elsewhere and double check expiration dates on anything else I purchase. I continue to shop HT for specials, but that's about all. They lost my loyalty when the cashier told me expired food on the shelves was not her problem. CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES, folks! read more

I normally go to the other Concord Harris Teeter, but I was out that way yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised at the choices of fresh foods they have at this location. From a fresh baked bread station to a pizza station to a full salad bar. They had alot of rotissiere chickens and fresh baked pork loins available. The workers were so friendly and helpful. I didn't visit the Starbuck's there yesterday, but I love having that available. read more
