I have mostly gone in the evenings, so things are often closed (like sushi, etc.), and I must say that the deli counter was awfully slow. But it was not for lack of trying; it was just a bit slow in delivery. But patience prevails, and overall, I like this as a grocery store. My father and I went to Harris Teeter to do some late night grocery shopping. I have always been impressed with the selection of products and high quality ambiance at Harris Teeter. The staff are very friendly and professional, and always willing to lend you a helping hand if you need to locate an item in the store. The prices are reasonable compared to other grocery stores. If you have a VIC card, you can get special discounts on a variety of items in the store. The layout of the store is great and it is very easy to locate products in the store. You can move around the grocery store with ease and no issues at all. The products are high quality and the name brand products are just as good as the expensive products in the store. My dad enjoyed the fruits and vegetables at Harris Teeter because it is very fresh and you get your value for the price you pay for them. I was in the area & needed to stop here for a few items. I love HT! There's isn't one close to where I currently live. There was ample parking and the lot was clean. The store was clean and tidy when I walked in. The produce section was fully stocked. Everything looked perfect. I picked up my items & made my way to the cash register. There was a cashier standing at the entrance waiting for a customer. I went to her register. She wasn't friendly AT ALL! I really started to wish I went to self-checkout. She ruined my entire experience. I paid and made my way out to my car. It was so weird that everyone I passed by was super friendly. She was the only negative part of my shopping experience. Our shopper, Abby, called us the morning of the scheduled pickup to speak to us about items that were not available. Where I live, I will say that I have pretty much every grocery store (except Wegmans) at my disposal. I have to say that my local Harris Teeter over near Flowers Plantation in Clayton is pretty much where I shop 99% of the time. In nearly every aisle, they seem to have a national brand; their own brand, and then something from a local source or small batch source. I have come across so many products that I can only find at HT. They have a huge salad bar, Asian hot bar, Pizza bar and fresh made sushi all separate from the aisle goods. The store is well laid out and things are sorted out where they should be. Have you ever said to yourself when you can't find something "Why isn't it where it should be" or " why the heck is it over there"? Well HT takes that all away. The self check out is always kept moving by the attendant and in the rare times I have to go through the line, the folks are always polite and I even recognize some because they live nearby. My local HT is a great place to shop and I feel it stands out from the others that are nearby! read more

This is a big Harris-Teeter. We entered into the produce dept. It was nicely stocked and everything we observed looked fresh and abundant. Meat case was also well stocked. We stopped by to see if they had a wine that we have had trouble finding lately. Their wine dept has a larger selection of all types of wine. Sadly, they did not have what we were looking for. They never have enough cashiers in senior citizen discount day. They're trying to force us all to self checkout I guess. It is more expensive than Publix or Food Lion. The store IS clean, but the selection of meats cannot compare with Publix. And they will not do anything with your meat, except cut it. I asked for some pork chops to be tenderized -- crickets. ** Manager Lawrence Flowers provides Harvard Style customer service ** I've come to this location a million times and I've never had a manager stop to assist me with my purchases the way Mr. Lawrence did. He was very pleasant and he asked how I was doing. He asked me about my day and mad me feel as if I was more than a "transaction". He took the time from his manager duties to make sure me as a customer was good to go. As we talked, I later came to realize he was the manager on duty tonight. I've never had a shift manager interact with me the way Mr. Flowers did. That I appreciate because It mad me feel important and good that someone would take time to build repoire with me. I've never been to this Harris Teeter before but have been to many others around the Triangle. So it was what I expected -- mostly clean store with a decent selection but the prices are on the higher end. I only needed a few items so I grabbed a basket instead of cart. I had trouble finding powdered drink mixes and asked one of the staff members at the front end. At first he pointed me toward a certain aisle but then perhaps noticed his error and directed me to the next aisle over. went here yesterday at 6 15 pm to get two tuna subs for the friday night pricing. This very rude and unfriendly woman in the deli came over to me, i asked her if she wanted to make me a couple sandwiches and she said if she had too. then she took the tuna over to the scale and weighed each sandwich amount , which didn't amount to jack!!! after she put it on the roll , there wasn't enough tuna to feed a cat. two slices of thin cut cheese. and all the veggiis looked old and wilted. This has become my go to HT since being built just five minutes from my house. The parking lot is ample, the store is always clean and well stocked, especially in the produce section, and the employees are friendly and efficient. They usually have a good amount of samples and the food is hot and fresh on all the hot self serve bars, including during football season when they had several flavors of wings to choose from. Be sure to check the mark downs in the grocery carts located near the registers and the frozen food. There are definitely some bargains to be found and they usually have some everyday! read more

I was very hungry and decided to go to a nearby Harris teeter to get some food. I bought my food and was headed to the checkout when I'm aisle 1 I saw a short young well dressed man. He kindly greeted me and said he would help me today. I gave him my selections and he told me his name was Joey. I said well hello Joey and asked his age. It turns out he is a junior in high school! I was so grateful for his help as I struggle with cashiers now a days. They are always so quiet and not helpful. Not Joey Bishop he was helping me through every step of the process. I am not sure why the teeters think they can have the worst produce on the coast, and think they can get away with it forever... Selective pressure will be their downfall, soon... Ok, so writing a review for a grocery store is sort of silly- BUT this Harris Teeter makes me feel pretty. So it's happening. Joking aside, this place is the nicest grocery store evaaaaa. They have 2-3 aisles of LOCAL CRAFT BEER and a ginormous cheese selection. They have other groceries too, but who really cares? ;-) Their deli is awesome, they have a small pizza parlor, and the friendliest staff on the planet. Seriously. I asked for a giant wheel of Brie to be cut and even though they were busy and the employee I asked was probably annoyed- she was very nice and did it. With a smile. I've been going to this Harris Teeter since we moved to the area and up until recently it had good service. The pharmacy has become more difficult to contact and communicate with. Recently every time I go, there are lines backed up with customers waiting to check out even during slow times of the day and staff roaming around on their phones and joking around with each other seeming not to care. Yesterday it took me 30 minutes waiting because all of the self checkout registers were locked up and no staff paying attention to see this! SHOPPERS BEWARE! DO NOT ORDER PARTY PLATTERS FROM THIS STORE! I came in yesterday to pick up several party platters that I had ordered for our large holiday party, over 60 people. They had no record of my order, even though I personally came in the store a week prior and talked with someone who took my order. They reassured me that everything would be ready. When I came to pick-up the platters, I was amazed by the incompetence of the workers! The staff was not helpful at all and didn't have any suggestions on how to make things right. This was 2 hours before my party was to start! I am planning to talk with the manager face to face this week. Love this new Harris Teeter! It's most clean and organized supermarket I've ever been to. They have a large fresh produce section and have closed fridges for things like packed spinach and tofu to keep them fresher. It's got the typical Harris Teeter bakery and deli but this one has a pizza oven section too. There's a Starbucks and a Redbox. I can tell that employees here really care about customer satisfaction. About a week ago I went here to refill my propane tank. This gentleman took care of my request from start to finish and got me out in no time with a full tank. Another instance of when I got above and beyond service was when I was in line behind someone and this gentleman working there helped me by taking my cart to the self scan and got me through the process in a jiffy. I think the guy has all the codes for the fruits and vegetables memorized by heart. I was pretty impressed. Lastly, props to those guys pushing the carts in the parking lot. I've had two instances now where this young gentleman (makes me feel old saying that) came up and helped take my cart back the the cart storage area. Way to show hustle! read more

I've been here several times and this is probably the nicest Harris teeter location I've been too. It's clean, the aisles are wide and laid out accordingly, and the staff is very friendly and helpful (they also have a great beer selection compared with other HT's). On my most recent trip here, I had some difficulty finding a product, and the manager on duty, Sean, was more than helpful in assisting me! I wish I could shop at this location regularly, but I live about 20 miles away. Luckily my best friend lives nearby, which will give me an excuse to go from time to time. This store needs to have more cashiers. Every time I come here there are significant lines. It is Sunday at 6pm and there are 30 people standing in line to check out with 3 cashiers working. Th Express line is backed up half way down the store. Publix opening will fix this problem. read more

I normally like this store but I was terribly disappointed today. Cashier I had griped about giving me the gas card deal even after asking the manager. It's a nice store but a cashier that complains when u are spending over $200 is a problem. It wasn't even that busy. I find Harris Teeter's quality of product to be very good overall. This is a new store that has some problems to work out. The staff has to be more concerned with meeting the customers' needs than frequent socializing with co-workers. It takes far too long to get waited on in the deli area and the fresh market area. The same is true when checking out. It's OK to be social but not at the expense of the customers' valuable time and hectic schedules. Hopefully these inconveniences can be corrected is a positive way so that their customer base will grow which it needs to happen. read more
