When it comes to planning a party and looking for specialty items like cheese, beer, dips, meats, and sauces, the HT is the place to go. It's just not my everyday grocery store because it's pricier than the Publix down the street. My most recent visit was before the Super Bowl. I found everything on my list and more of course. Isn't that how it always goes at the grocery store!! This HT on D Road is easy to get in and out of and the shopping plaza it's in the middle of offers a lot of other useful store. Like the liquor store right next door!!

Who am I kidding, I love this location. Yeah, it can be frustrating when they rearrange the aisles but that is all just part of adulting. They have, at minimum, one of anything you would need but typically too many options to decide. Icing on the cake is they are already decorating for Christmas and we need more of that kind of positivity this year. Cheers Teeter!

I enjoy shopping at the Wescott location. It is on my route home from work. The store is always well stocked, clean, and the employees are friendly and helpful. I don't do major shopping here because some items can be a little pricey. However, they have excellent sales. Sign up for their newsletters and you will stay in the know of weekly sales. This has been very helpful.

This cheese was bought today by my hubby who doesn't check dates etc. Expires in November of 2023 and already has mold on it. As someone who has worked grocery as a teenager, this is because they left it out without refrigeration for quite some time. This Harris Teeter is not up to the standards of most HTs and should be inspected as to how long they are leaving cold items out in the heat before selling to customers. This is unacceptable! Be aware!

My mistake for trying the grapes again. Moldy and rotten once again. More pictures posted. I'll just stick to buying bananas from here. Updating review- I know things happen. HT really went out of their way to make it right. Great customer service! Thank Found disgusting stuff festering in the bottom of the container of grapes we were eating. This isn't the first time I've had issues with produce at this location and I'm tired of it so I'm updating my review. We've also had issues with the dairy department.

This worker was seen using her phone before applying sprinkles to the cupcakes! I guess gloves are only required when handing items to a customer.

My favorite super market! Clean, vegatables are fresh, the service is courteous and friendly, great prices and love the free cookie for the kids... not going to lie I enjoy the cookie too...LOL. Harris is so sure their product is great that if you are not happy with their product you can return and get a full refund and perhaps more. Really love it!

Reasons why I love Harris Teeter- their staff! Always polite and knowledgeable. I normally go to get Sushi as you can see from the photo their sushi is by far the best! It's fresh, presentable, and full of taste. For $8.49 I get a crab roll that packs a punch!! Not only is it fresh it's filling. If you are a sushi lover and just want something quick but yet fresh go to Harris Teeter. They also have a great variety of wine and beer! Their cheese bar is out of this world! All the cheese brands you can think of from every country they carry it. They have the largest variety when it comes to foreign food for a civilian grocery store. The convince of this store is what makes it even better! Next to Marshall's and Starbucks, GNC and my gym. Harris Teeter you outdid yourself! Keep up the great work and your staff is by far the most down to earth staff I've met to date

The thing that I like about this Harris Teeter location is the fact that they offer a wide array of prepackaged as well as freshly made foods that can be used to create a quick meal or a nice dinner in a hurry. Yes, they offer all of the standard grocery store fare including milk, eggs and bread but add to that a vast cheese selection, a nice selection of wines, deli sandwiches and wraps. They offer freshly baked pizzas and a salad bar. As a busy professional I know first hand that cooking is not always an option and it's nice know that there is some place local that offers a variety of meal options (that don't require cooking, or scrubbing pots and pans.) Note: Open 24 hours a day. Pharmacy hours 0900 to 2100. Pros: Deli selection, wine and cheese selection and Customer Service (No wait to check out). Cons: Produce, I was craving a baked potato but their potatoes were starting to sprout odd little plants and looked dated.

Vince, the owner, is awesome and extremely knowledgeable, so is always a pleasure to chat with about beer, food, life, and whatever else may come up. We got a variety of others beers which we haven't tried it but will update once I do. The place is super clean and organized which makes it easier to browse though. He also has a great selection of exotic snacks which pair very well with beers. He has a good story behind the Beer Man name. He shared with us that one night, while drinking with his buddies, one randomly yelled "beer, Man!" And the name just stuck. The painting on the wall is also inspired by his favorite beer Alagash, which he shared was so hard to find and now Carries it in his establishment. If I lived in SC, I would make sure to always support Vince. I have never felt so welcomed in a business. This may not mean a lot to a lot of people but all three of us are of different ethnic backgrounds and were treated exactly the same. Thank you Vince for sharing your stories and for making us feel so welcome and showing how much you appreciate your customers. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

The booths are comfy, plenty of high tops, and a few seats at the bar. The coffee is excellent. I'm a purist, but flavor fanciers will love the available options. I'm going to try the beer, because I can buy in recyclable growlers - and it's tasty. But the attribute I like best is that while it's not silent, there's the usual hubbub, it's quiet enough to have a normal volume conversation with a friend or a group. I must admit as a former chef then afterwards living in Kansas City and Austin TX for 25 years and frequenting large grocery stores with almost all of the things I've needed under one roof; I've been very disappointed with almost all the grocery stores here. So, after my mother convinced me to stop by Lowes I was pleasantly surprised with a chain that "gets it" here in town. Walking in I found the place to be extremely clean with some of the nicest employees I've come across since being back in town. Moreover, they're rather smart; strategically placing fresh baked focaccia bread close to the entrance, enticing one's stomach to influence the power of the purse. Next, I challenge anyone to resist their smoked foods as the air is heavy with the sweet perfume. Please note that Lowes carries a LOT of items customers will NOT find at other stores. From the towns best selection of cheeses, rack of lamb, watermelon radish and on the list continues, I encourage all those reading this to shop this store for those harder to find items. As for instore made items, I've tried a few and would like to report my limited findings. First, I bought a loaf of olive focaccia bread a noted weakness of mine. I found it be pillow-y moistness, bouncing back to the touch with a good fragrance however the amount of rosemary in it will repel even the most persistent of demons (odd refence). I bought another loaf of parmesan and I had the same issue, just way to rosemary which I happen to enjoy. I wish they had an alternative without the herb but other than that it's awesome. Another success in the bakery was the Bavarian donuts which I highly advise not buying as they're downright addictive. Soft, moist and a perfect chocolate to cream ratio these things are illegal in 5 surrounding counties! As for protein, I broke down and got the smoked chicken wings and macaroni salad for lunch. Again, this would be a resounding success if it weren't for one overwhelming ingredient; in this case salt. I'm of the belief they marinated these wings in the dead sea as it tasted as if the cap to the salt shaker fell off when seasoning these wings. Otherwise, these wings hit on all notes as they were moist and had the perfect amount of smoke. As for the mac salad, everyone has their version of what are perfect ingredients so I'll just add this, they perfectly cooked the pasta. That is to say the noodles weren't soggy or cooked to death; rather al dente which is perfect for the summertime favorite. As for addins I think they're ok but that's very subjective. Again, a certified hit. I did grab the sushi one day but I'm not a fan of grocery store sushi for the simple fact that the rice needs to be warm and the fish cold as it creates a contrast in the mouth. That said I got the fried shrimp sushi and it was just like any other store, not great. Nothing taken away as I realize most people are happy with this. My point is if I'm craving sushi a grocery store isn't the first thing that comes to mind as a true restaurant has better quality fish and a more diverse menu. To summarize Lowes is a great place to obtain those harder to find ingredients with the best in store created foods among all the competitors out there. The people here are very nice and willing to help however please note you'll need to obtain a card to get the discounts, the one down side of Lowes, is they're a little more expensive. However, "it's a small price to pay" for leveling up on the quality meter. This is my favorite grocery store in town and it's not even close.

The venue has been updated and has been redone in primarily black and white paint and accents. It's nice - not dated, not trying to look fancier than it is. It's comfortable and approachable. They have taken out many of the tables from the previous spot so you feel like there is room around you to breathe. The chairs are SO comfortable, too. They're inviting and even two hours later we still commented on how good they felt. If you've been to the Riverfront location, the menu will be very familiar. They have added a few new options but have primarily stuck with what they know they do well, which is smart while they're just opening up. We started with the smoked chicken thighs and the deviled eggs (which we ordered when we saw them being delivered to another table and needed to have them!), both SO good. My never-ending pet peeve is when you order something and it comes with too many or not enough for the table - like 5 deviled eggs for a 4-top. For my entree, I ordered the steak frites. I don't eat a lot of red meat, so this was a special treat and they did not disappoint. The medium rare was perfect and the fries were yummy as always. Both of the dessert specials sounded good, so we decided to get them both so everyone at the table could have a bite. I will be back, for sure. My only spot for opportunity was the parking lot. It is VERY dark. I don't know that I would truly feel comfortable walking there at night - there are some trip hazards and it's not the safest if you're alone, so I hope they add in some spotlights and a path.
