If you're not already in Club Publix rewards, you can enroll with your phone number. However, you do not need to be a member or "have a card" to get the sale prices here. KJ's Market is the low end subsidiary of Lowes Foods. This store is definitely on the smaller side, and can feel crowded when there's multiple people in one aisle. One way to avoid this is shopping outside of peak hours ... early in the morning our later at night. The cashiers are mostly friendly and always fast. If you come from a state with Kroger or Fry's instead of Harris Teeter, rest assured that you can still input your phone number for your shopper rewards. Another positive is that I haven't noticed a difference in prices from this store and non-touristy grocery stores. Again, it does the trick for being the only grocery store at Freshfields. They need to gut the thing and start over -- the outside needs a good cleaning as well. The employees are always friendly but shelves have plenty of bare spots and lines for check out are long. I'm sure it is not easy to find staff to work, so I certainly sympathize here. Overall, I only "run" to Food Lion if I need a couple things quickly. Otherwise, I drive a couple extra miles to stores with better selections, that are cleaner, and well staffed.
