I am so proud of this partnership. GC has been in sore need of an upper-scale dining spot amidst the sea of diners and fast food, and Momo was the perfect choice. The venue has been updated and has been redone in primarily black and white paint and accents. It's nice - not dated, not trying to look fancier than it is. It's comfortable and approachable. They have taken out many of the tables from the previous spot so you feel like there is room around you to breathe. The chairs are SO comfortable, too. They're inviting and even two hours later we still commented on how good they felt. If you've been to the Riverfront location, the menu will be very familiar. They have added a few new options but have primarily stuck with what they know they do well, which is smart while they're just opening up. We started with the smoked chicken thighs and the deviled eggs (which we ordered when we saw them being delivered to another table and needed to have them!), both SO good. My never-ending pet peeve is when you order something and it comes with too many or not enough for the table - like 5 deviled eggs for a 4-top. For my entree, I ordered the steak frites. I don't eat a lot of red meat, so this was a special treat and they did not disappoint. The medium rare was perfect and the fries were yummy as always. Both of the dessert specials sounded good, so we decided to get them both so everyone at the table could have a bite. I will be back, for sure. My only spot for opportunity was the parking lot. It is VERY dark. I don't know that I would truly feel comfortable walking there at night - there are some trip hazards and it's not the safest if you're alone, so I hope they add in some spotlights and a path. read more

My wife and I showed up at Momo's 15 minutes before our reservation and they already had a table for us. We had chicken wings shrimp cocktail, and we both ordered the steaks with the french fries along with crème brûlée and pistachio cake for dessert. The food was cooked as ordered and tasty. The portions were as expected for the price. Be expected to pay around $150 for two appetizers two entrées and dessert not counting tip. However, the menu has great hamburgers, and a few other choices that are less pricey. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxed. Because this restaurant is part of a golf course, it has more of a sporty atmosphere than other locations. The waiters took their time and did not rush us through the meal even though the restaurant was beginning to get busy. The workers and waiters were very cordial and did a good job serving, however, I give Momo's four stars due to the fact that the steaks were extremely salted in fact overly so. If you order steaks, be sure you request less salt or no salt at all. I suggest you salt and pepper the steaks yourself if you're so inclined. Momo's at Crowfield gets four stars and comes recommended by this reviewer. read more

This review is really a combo of two reviews: the outdoor bar and then the restaurant. The outdoor bar is amazing! 5 stars! I don't know why every golf course doesn't have an outdoor bar! I always swing by before during and after a round of golf and they are always extremely courteous, expedient, and kind! They have ample options to take with you on the course or to enjoy at the bar! I will forever partake at this beautiful bar. The restaurant on the other hand, crap service, below par food with above par prices! My first time dining in, we walk in the front door and didn't see a host stand so I walk through the restaurant looking for someone to seat us, I walk out the back and then back in and then finally saw a server (there are only servers working) that then directed us to the host stand that was virtually hidden at the front entrance. As we then walk to the host stand the same server then asked us if we wanted to sit inside our outside? The entire restaurant was empty so the game of "let's walk back to the host stand" was beyond dumb. We sat outside, the other server then greeted us and asked for a drink orders, she brought those back relatively fast but then poof gone and for a hot minute! I went to the bathroom and both servers were at the server station with their faces buried in their phones, not talking to each other or noticing any patrons in the vicinity. I get back to the table and the server appears and takes our food order. The food came out super fast, thinking it was because the place was empty, nope, it was because the food is crap! I ordered a blue cheese burger, the patty was obviously frozen and maybe 1/6th of a pound of the saddest blandest gray patty money can buy, the "blue cheese" was this ultra thin slice of some processed Kraft single concoction that, if you didn't tell me it was blue, I wouldn't have known. There was ZERO funk! I wasn't expecting it to be overflowing with a fat chunk of cheese cut of the block but if you label it as a blue cheese burger, you should taste the blue cheese, hell taste the burger, especially if you are charging 14 bucks a pop! The cherry on top, was the tomato and cucumber salad, I shit you not, had one cherry tomato CUT IN HALF with the rest being 50% onion and 40% cucumber! Moral of the story, go to the bar, skip the restaurant. read more

Cool new addition to the Goose Creek area. Even though very casual, I would say more on the formal casual side if that makes sense. Would they kick you out wearing a t shirt ? Probably not but you for sure will feel out of place. The food is amazing and the staff from the hostess to my server were all amazing. And some of the regulars were very friendly and made nice conversation. I do recommend not going by yourself like I did. Solid choice for a date night or smaller groups. read more

I agree with Louis's review, but I will only give it four stars. It is a nice quiet restaurant that is off the beaten path. I nice place to have a quiet good lunch. The food and service was good, but I'm not raving about anything. I had a nice chicken sandwich and the wife had a burger. We both enjoyed our meals and we both had a side of mushrooms. For some reason they had an outdoor port-a-John parked right in front of the door. What is management thinking,or are they thinking at all, dumb! read more

After eating at Momo Crowfield I wanted to shout their accolades from the roof tops but part of me wanted to keep this place for myself. My wife and I dined at the original Momo in North Charleston and loved it, so this place had a high bar to hurdle. It cleared the bar with plenty of space below. The atmosphere was relaxing with a casual vibe, and the lighting pleasantly illuminated all the tables. Dining here will make you feel comfortable and at ease. My party started with cocktails with the Crowfield Creamsicle first arriving. This sweet concoction has spiced rum, pineapple, vanilla and blood orange making a tasty drink to enjoy before the meal. My wife, a lover of spicy drinks went with the Jalapeno Momorita with jalapeno infused tequila, a tajin rim and dehydrated lime. It had a nice back heat and was quite tangy. I ordered the Tea Time Crush with Firefly sweet tea vodka, peach, lemonade and a sprig of thyme. This boozy Arnold Palmer was crisp and light and a great start for the meal. Later I ordered the Chai Tea Old Fashioned which had all the great trappings of an old fashioned but with the cinnamon notes brought forth from the Chai Tea. For our starters we went with the Hushpuppies which were swimming in a yummy mixture of jalapeno butter, honey and chives which gave sweet and heat. They were fried just right with no doughy centers. The winner though was the Smoked Chicken Thighs with shredded smoked chicken on a bed of romaine lettuce with peanuts, pickled peppers and a hot maple sauce. My wife I I took no time devouring this sweet, spicy, smoky, salty savory treat! We all decided steaks were in order which did not disappoint. My cousin ordered the 6oz Petit Filet which looked way larger than six ounces. The center revealing a perfect medium rare that Chef Ramsey himself would give a chef's kiss. The truffle fries as a side were absolutely huge with enough for two people and were light and crispy pairing well with the steak. My wife and cousin's husband ordered the 16oz New York strip and I have to say was absolutely amazing. It is the biggest cut strip looking at least two inches thick and was cooked to yet another perfect medium rare. The steak came with a range of sauce choices, but I tell you this steak stands alone being so well seasoned and grilled to perfection you may forgo the sauces all together. I ordered the steak frites which was a 10oz Coulotte steak on a bed of chimichurri with a bearnaise sauce for dipping and of course crispy julienne fries. The steak was super tender and melted in my mouth and the fries a nice addition. My other cousin ordered the 12oz ribeye which totally stole the show. I was green with envy looking at the wonderfully crispy crust with not a hint of fat on the cut. This will be my order when I return, and I fully plan on returning. Finally for dessert I tried the Handpie which took a simple dessert and elevated it to the top level. It was a banana pudding handpie with warm pudding and bananas on the inside sitting on smear of cold banana pudding on the plate with crumbled vanilla wafers sprinkled throughout. It was the perfect end to the perfect steak feast. I fully expect this restaurant to totally take off since the steaks here rival Halls Chop House, maybe even outdoing them. Hearing about this place and living about 10 minutes away I was curious because I don't golf. The entrance is very confusing. I sat at the bar on a Friday evening and waited maybe 10-15 minutes before a grumpy gentlemen finally came around to talking to me. I got hush puppies because that's what reviews say to get. They were nearly black and were awful. I then got the thickest New York strip I've ever seen. I was excited at first, but to my surprise completely undercooked. I will try out the riverfront location in hopes the food is better. It was very offsetting that the bartender seemed miserable and lacking of personality. read more

I politely request to have 2 of your Bar Tenders fired. They denied myself and my friend drinks on his bachelors golf outing this weekend Sat May 17th. A much much older woman with short brown hair and blue eyes took my ID to the younger blonde regular bartender and they both agreed to deny it. I have zero interest in wasting another penny at this establishment, so it's a mutual understanding. Crowfield golf course is managed extremely well and a great place to play golf. Why, you didn't post the review I did. Poor service at brunch with a full staff and 1/4 of the restaurant with guests. Rib eye steak sandwich special gristly and over cooked. Soggy :hoagie roll" was actually a hot dog bun. Ordered 2 glasses of Mimosa, but delivered a carafe which we did not touch, but she tried to charge us for the carafe. Our first visit , Really wanted a nice restaurant in Goose Creek , hate going out of town every time ! The atmosphere was very well done nice but understated , We started with the hush puppies, slightly underdone and dense but the spicy butter made up for it , I ordered the "Pepe" pasta dish which was excellent, added the shrimp $8 , which I thought was a little excessive until it arrived, must have added 8 large shrimp ! My wife had the Turkey sandwich and fries which was excellent and large . I wish they had a "house salad" as a side but the two they have will serve two easily. We finished with the pocket pie which was delicious, the crust was delicate and light . Many of the Appetizers could be a meal ( smoked chicken thighs) !! All in all worth the money, but I am not sure the average local resident will pay these prices, but the quality for the price is definitely there !! We will definitely go back but maybe not as frequently. read more
