This HT is decent. It's not my favorite one in town but it'll do if you're in the area. It's fairly large with plenty of parking and a bunch of other strip stores around. Fully stocked with all the usual HT items and brands and in-store stuff you need. This is also one of the few fuel centers in the area so you can cash in those HT points for .05-.45 cents off per gallon. It adds up! read more

Let me start off by saying I love their subs, but unfortunately some of the stores count their meats ( why do I you say that you ask )? It's because I asked the gentleman who was making this sub ( see the picture below please ) after he was clearly done added the meat, " I said is that all the meat you're putting on the sub? He said " yes he's only allowed to put only 3 ounces of meat " in his exact words! I hope they can do better with their subs because I don't want to give up them!. read more

Me & my husband were here looking to buy some shrimp for a last minute birthday celebration and even after realizing that it was past the time to order seafood, one of the guys behind the counter (I think his name was Kevin) was quick to greet us and still offered to help us in anyway necessary. No attitude or annoyance like you'd probably get at other places for asking a favor past a certain time. This is the kind of customer service that makes you want to keep coming back. After just a few visits I'm not overly impressed, but it's still a good option that I plan on using in a rotation. My wife does more shopping these days and would agree it's not what we hoped for when reopening. Find them in Haygood Shopping Center which I super frequent. They put an entirely new paved lot in prior to HT arrival. The lot is very large and customers will have no issues finding space. Debris was seen on walk up of last visit and a trash can inside the door was overflowing. Prior to leaving it was being emptied. They retained the fuel station which is off to the side. If you shop a Harris Teeter this is a must for savings. I pass them often and they installed all new pumps and it looks fantastic! My wife has used on several occasions and really likes. This store was the former Farm Fresh now turned Harris Teeter after around 5 months renovation. However it's difficult to find what has been changed. An obvious change like Starbucks has been removed, but I find that's it's laid out the same with departments. Don't get me wrong, there was no reason to gut the store. I found it clean every where I shopped. My last visit was to the deli and the staff was very friendly. They have Boars Head which to me is the best. They had a nice supply of meats and cheeses. They also have prepared meals and pizza in this area. Recently our family did pick up a few pizzas from this location. One sausage and one pepperoni. They were very heavy in cheese and loaded with sauce. No one cared for them and leftovers tossed. Checkout by staff was meh. They do have self checkout also. The front area was well organized and the floral department remains up front. When compared to other Harris Teeters this seems like a weaker option. However they have only been open around six months. With competition opening across the street next month they better pick up there grocery game. read more

I SO wanted to love the new Haygood Harris Teeter, previously a Farm Fresh. But that hasn't been the case. Postponing a review to give it time to "whip into shape", my experience earlier this week has sent me over the edge. The Independence Boulevard location is extremely convenient. There are ample parking spaces directly in front of the store. Walking in, one would expect a pleasant shopping experience. The 3 rating is strictly because of its clean & inviting appearance. If the rating were based on stocking & customer service it would be a 2. There wasn't a whole lot of time that day. But I had a short list of items, had already downloaded the digital eVIC (their loyalty card) coupons and checked the sale items on their smart phone App. I dropped off packing materials & boxes at a nearby store for recycling. Then I moved my car to a space in front of Harris Teeter. I had about 45 minutes before a Vet appointment; plenty of time to get home, pick up my dog, and get to the Vet. My first problem was in Produce, located right at the entrance. They had advertised a 2 pound clamshell of Blueberries. Look as I may, I saw no large containers of blueberries. Soon an employee walked by & I asked her where they were. She said she would get someone from Produce. So I waited. After I had been waiting for awhile an announcement was finally made that help was needed in Produce. I waited, waited & waited. No employee appeared. Finally I could wait no longer. So I had to trim down my list to the absolute essentials. As I was walking to the back of the store the employee who I asked about the blueberries passed. She asked if I had been helped. I replied "No, but I'm out of waiting time." She walked on. I didn't see any employees in the aisles. So I used their App to try to locate the aisle that one of my essentials was located on. Checking my list, I saw that one of my items, which had been promoted on the App, was now marked "not available." There was no indication of that out of stock an hour earlier. I walked the entire Yogurt section, just to check. There wasn't an empty space. Had the product ever been available? Now very frustrated, I decided to just check out. I was running out of time. There were only 2 cashiers. One must have been the slowest cashier ever employed. When it was finally my turn to check out he asked if I had found everything I needed. I told him "No" and that no one had ever come to help me. He didn't react at all. He just kept checking out my groceries. Sigh... The store seemed to be understaffed in all areas. Regaining Harris Teeter in general, I do like how their App shows the shelf location if you use the search function. Adding specials or eVIC coupon items to a Grocery list for store shopping is an issue. It adds them to a cart for checkout (pick up or delivery). The items in the cart don't show the shelf location. Bummer.... I'm sure I'll return to Harris Teeter. But if I'm in the vicinity of the Great Neck Store, I'll stop there rather than going to the closer Haygood. read more

Discovered they offer gasoline but it's at the end of the shopping center, behind Starbucks. Beauty of HT gasoline is the VIC shopping incentive that deducts a percentage of your monthly spending off of your per gallon gas price. Today's gas price for 87 octane unleaded was $2.21, my price was $1.81 ($0.40 off per gallon). That's a deal when filling up the family minivan's 20 gallon tank ($8.00 saved). PRO TIP: the per gallon deduction applies up to 35 gallons! Use of the disposable red "germ saver" glove is OPTIONAL. read more

Do not shop at the deli at this location. The deli manager is EXTREMELY rude. August 9, 2019 we went to buy some cookies. We were going to buy $40 worth of cookies. My niece went up to the bakery and asked the nice lady working in the back if she had a tray she could SELL to us. The little lady went to look and couldn't find it. So she asked this deli manager and the deli manager proceeded to SCREAM AND YELL at her about policies and procedures in front of us. That's extremely rude first of all. Second a REAL manager would have pulled a person aside and said that quietly without the WHOLE area hearing her mouth. (I think it was a her) So instead of buying $40 worth of cookies, and buying a tray, we went and bought an $8 half cake they had in the refrigerator by the bakery. They lost $30+ because of how rude she was. So my suggestion do not shop at this store. Especially that deli. It's no wonder they can't keep people there and folks keep quitting. I can't say enough great things about Shonda and her team in the deli! I ordered 10 subs for pickup the next day. But if you order online, it doesn't have the option to pick up the next day. So I called and spoke to Shonda who reassured me it would be ready on the day I needed it. She even called me back to confirm my order. Sure enough, everything was ready and prepared perfectly as promised! She and her team went above and beyond- their customer service was excellent- thank you so much! This was the first day of the store's opening. They opened up a little after 8am and the inside was well-lit and clean. Since today was the first day, of course everything was prisitine and new. The cashier, Eileen, is a wonderful associate and will help a customer in any way she can. The store manager, Sam, was very kind and greeted customers. I've been to Harris Teeter stores before and was always pleased with the wide array of merchandise and sense of 'specialness'. Oddly enough, this new store is really just the old Farm Fresh with new equipment. Nothing special. Just kind of 'meh'. I expected the new store to be a competitor with Wegmans, but it's pretty middle of the road with neither great selection nor great prices. read more

Was excited to find such a large, stocked grocery store so close to my house. However, I will avoid this place. I've been three times and every time I go, the people are the registers are so rude. I was in this store on Monday and the lady in line in front of me was arguing and trying to bargain down the cost of her groceries. I was horrified at the customer's behavior. The cashier was lovely and kind and went through and explained everything to her and tried to suggest some sales. I switched lines to the young male cashier next to her and noticed he was watching the scene unfold with the difficult customer. I said to him, "I'm really sorry that you guys sometimes get treated like that...it's not cool" and he just gently smiled and said, "it just seems like everyone is upset and stressed anymore...she'll be ok in a minute." I said alllll of that to tell you this; Harris Teeter has some really good employees. read more

The best Harris teeter I ever went to.... the staff is beyond helpful. If something is empty on the shelf they always go out of their way to find out if they have in the back or if they have something similar. I've always left that location happy and fulfilled. read more

Updating my review to 5 stars!!! I came in here with my family last night to grocery shop and I received amazing service from Heather. She was so sweet. My 3 year old was so sad he had to give up his shopping cart so she let him help her ring up the groceries and he just LOVED her for that. She even offered him a cookie on the way out. Also, this time we were offered the Vic card and happily signed up this time. I'm so glad I decided to give this store a second chance. I also want to note that my husband ordered shrimp from the seafood section and although the man working was closing up, he kindly helped out my husband. Great job Harris Teeter. read more

My husband and I bought gasoline at the Harris teeter at haygood on 9/06/23. I am warning others not to buy gasoline at that Harris teeter for a while until they straighten out their problem with tainted fuel. My husband and I purchased a new car 2 weeks prior to that we filled the car up at the Harris teeter pump and within 48 hours the vehicle was not running anymore and we had to have it towed to the dealership where we bought it. The same day the dealership could not figure out while the car was not running so they withdrew fuel out of our gas tank and called us and told us it was contaminated gasoline. They had to keep the car for six days to drain the fuel tank clean the fuel injectors and the rails of the gasoline tank. It costed us $819.19 to get our car back almost a week later. What it was towed to the dealership it only had 465 mi on it. We tried communicating with Harris teeter several times at the main office and also at that store. Managers basically wipe their hands of the situation. After finally making four telephone calls to the main office in North Carolina and telling them if they did not do something about our situation because we had already paid for the repairs on our car that we would have obtain an attorney and we also will send a news crew up to that station. We had not gotten a telephone call back from the main office and I made four phone calls to it. Finally on the fourth call when I told that I was not the kind of person to just let something drop and if this was not addressed that I would see them in court then finally a manager from the main office called me. I do not call that good customer service nor do I call that good public relations. Finally after the fourth phone call to the main office they finally put me in touch with Sedgwick which they say is a claims adjuster I believe for their insurance company because they never really said to investigate the situation. I told them that my husband and I saw the eagle tanker truck go up to the station and refill the tanks at the Harris teeter gas station I only live a block from it. They said they would need to do a test on the tanks and I told them I don't see what good that will do now you had 10 days in which to perform a test and no one would even respond back to me. Since that time the tanker truck has already refilled the tanks so if it was contaminated or still is contaminated or if we got the bottom of the barrel gasoline before it was filled it probably was contaminated. I sent them the screenshots of what I paid for the gasoline plus the bill what the manager at the dealership repair shop head wrote and I also have a sample of the gasoline and I would like a refund for my gasoline and that repair bill which my husband and I paid. I suppose we'll just have to wait to see how it goes with Sedgwick. I just want people to know what a difficult time they will have with this company if they get tainted fuel and a new vehicle or even an old one and to avoid that station for a while until they can fix the problem.
