I was treated with such distain and rudeness today, others in line stepped up for me. After over an hour waiting for my scheduled vaccination appointment, I was forced to go through the same 10-minutes of background info I'd already submitted online hours before prior to my appt. I produced my Medicare card but was told it wasn't needed...just take a seat and wait...for another 45 minutes. Then I'm called to the window and told they needed to see the Medicare care card I never showed to them. "Please review your security cam, and you'll see that I kept trying to show it earlier but told it wasn't needed." "Just have a seat and wait." Another 35 minutes. I'll skip my strong replies, but the manager not only informed me that because I was a "public disturbance" my vaccination was cancelled, I must leave the store immediately, and he's calling the police over an "uncontrollable customer." The staff at the checkout is friendly but the rest of the store seems like it's falling apart and in major need of maintenance or retraining. The drive through pharmacy is closed way too often. Most of the staff seem too busy talking to each other or goofing off to help when customers need it. And worst of all happened this visit... the cleaning crew that was hired was disrespectful and loudly spread out throughout the entire store with mops and grooms and a loud push vacuum essentially taking over the store. It was only 7pm with many customers still around not wanting to breathe the dirt that they were stirring up into the air!! If I was manager, I wouldn't hire them again because others customers were walking out and some that stayed were forced to cover their face while waiting to be helped. read more

Walgreens on Little Neck Road! For some reason noone there ever answers the phone - even when you sit on hold for 15 minutes and then get disconnected because noone will answer. I have been trying to get an RX filled for 2 weeks - there is no way to talk to anyone except to go there and wait in their line that takes at least 30 minutes every time. I am a regular customer here with all of my family's meds coming through this pharmacy (a total of at least 10 on a monthly basis). Because we can no longer depend on them having our meds ready in a timely manner (or at all) we are switching immediately. I was told that when you refill RX online it does not go to the store to refill. SO anything refilled online is never ready without an additional trip to the store. The people there are nice and the one man is very compitent but the fact that we can't get our medications in a timely manner or even at all without a personal visit to the store multiple times is absurd. I recently got both my flu shot and my Covid vaccine at this Walgreens. Colby was the kind person who gave the shots. He was amazing. I honestly barely felt the injections at all! He was excellent at giving the shots, quick, kind, and a very professional person. I am 68 years old and have had many shots in my life. No one has ever been better than Colby. He deserves recognition and a pay raise! He is the best. If you need any vaccines please go ask for Colby at this Walgreens. You will be glad you did! read more

My appointment for a vaccine was scheduled for 3:10 PM. I arrived as requested 10 minutes early and checked in. I was directed to sit and wait for the vaccination to be administered. After a wait of 30 minutes, I decided that my time was too valuable to sit and wait in longer. I told the clerk that I was not going to get my vaccination today and the pharmacist who happen to be standing nearby said there was one person in front of me and it shouldn't be too much longer. This seems to be a systemic problem with vaccinations at this Walgreens. Judging from other reviews, some people waited longer than I would wait. Appointments should not be made unless the staff can accommodate the clients when scheduled. I did not see any client received a vaccination during the time I was waiting. Walgreens needs to do a better job honoring their scheduled appointments. I look at this as an administration or leadership problem. It is apparent that insufficient staffing is a major issue. I suggest that Walgreens not make appointments for vaccinations unless they have the staffing to comply with the appointment schedule. All of the employees seem to be very busy and my interaction with them was professional. read more

Horrible customer service. I just wasted 30 minutes in the drive through at 1 pm only for a man to slap a closed sign in the window when it was my turn at the window. He said "everybody knows we close for lunch at 1 pm" as if customers are supposed to memorize their employee break schedules. The pharmacy lines inside are always just as bad, if not worse, too. I have come to believe that Walgreen as a chain drug store is so well managed that they are consistently above average any place you may go in the country. Maybe I am turning into my Dad who insisted on visiting Walgreens three times a week, hey I am getting close. It was always a joke with my family that Dad gets a Walgreens gift card for Christmas... and you know we did that every year too. This location was clean inside and out and is one of the few 24 hour WG pharmacies in VB which was a must for us at this later hour tonight. Friendly staff greeted us when coming in the door. I headed right to the pharmacy to find a very helpful pharmacist that went out of his way to rush us out with my son sick and needing to get to bed. Within 10 minutes we were on our way. Something that I also like about Walgreens is there rewards program, check it out. Keep up the good work. read more

Fast Printing service and friendly service as well. This location is super convenient to the workplace so I can choose to either walk or take a short drive to shop here. On this particular day, February 16th, the store wasn't busy at all. I needed a few pictures printed. I walked over to the photo center area and there was one other lady printing pictures, but there was another spot open with my name on it. This was my first time printing photos here...photos can be printed directly from your cell phone. If you do not walk around with a USB cord, the employee behind the counter is able to provide you with one compatible to your phone. She passed me the Android cord and the entire process took less than five minutes. The prints are manually handled by the employee on duty. So it's not automatic printing here and you pay and go, instead, the employee manually prints your photos, packages them and you pay at the photo center counter. Luckily on this day, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. The photo center employee advised if this was a busy time like Christmas the printing process would take much longer due to the high demand. So keep that in mind. The customer service has gone literally down the drain. My last prescription took 3 trips and each trip over 45 minutes wait to get filled. They messed up twice. And filled it third time! Today waited in line about 50 minutes and got to the drive through window. At 5:59 they closed the window without me and three other cars behind me that were have been waiting. Extremely rude and pathetic customer service now. Been a loyal customer of this pharmacy for 17 years. Furious and angry now. Will pull all my prescriptions from there and go elsewhere. He's gone above and beyond several times now and not just for me, for every customer that I've witnessed him assist. He's the real deal! I wish I could give this pharmacy a zero. Before you decide to use them try to call and speak to a person. Not the pharmacist just a live person. The pharmacy staff went out of their way to help my out-of-town guests determine the correct dose of medicine for their baby. They really went above and beyond. My one previous experience with the pharmacy was positive as well. Unfortunately their computer software does not allow them to bill both of my insurances, otherwise I would come here regularly. Pros: Excellent customer service given by a white lady with long wavy blonde hair with a smile and competitive prices on IPhone chargers and 3 ft. charge & sync lightning cable in addition to well-stock over the counter medication.... The pharmacist (a black gentleman) went above and beyond to ensure I will pick the correct over-the-counter medication. A manager is on call 24/7. It was easy and free to park at this 24/7 store, which is conveniently located near a Kroger and a Harris Teeter. Cons: The corporate policy is you can only get a store credit if you were to return anything with a receipt. read more

Also picked up a great deal on a 40 qt cooler by Coleman.... $29.99!!!!!!!! It sells for $49.99 at Walmart and Amazon. Thought it was mismarked, but when we went back to buy it, it was gone and they had none left in stock. We headed to the Walgreens on Shore and found the exact same cooler at the exact same price! It is extremely important to have a good working relationship with your pharmacy, and I have enjoyed just that is the 8 years that I have been dealing with this store. Every cashier is great and the staff in the entire store is friendly and helpful. I work in customer assistance so I know how hard it is to get this kind of consistency! I have been a customer at this Walgreens for several years now. I got put on meds for blood pressure about a year and a half ago. The meds and doses have been changed a couple of times.One med was stopped altogether, after removing it on the app and telling people in person on several occasions at the pharmacy to remove that med I still keep getting reminders to refill it. Most recently I received a reminder to fill two prescriptions and I okayed it because they are two I am currently taking. Then I get The ready for pick up messages, I didn't go right away to pick them up but then I get a message saying my prescription is delayed due to insurance issues. Not the first time this has happened. Usually meant they were trying to fill blood pressure meds on my workers comp account. I go to the store to find out what's up and she hands me three prescriptions. It was pretty confusing. I guess assuming they finally got it straight with the med that I am no longer on I guess I didn't pay close enough attention, they filled a three month supply of the med I'm not even taking. I should've looked at it closer sure but like I said I thought they finally got my prescriptions Straight.I called the store told him the problem he said he could take that drug off my account which should've been off months ago I told them several times. He says he can't take it back and he can't credit my Card. Then he starts to insinuate I asked for the refill because he said it's not on auto fill like I must've asked for it, no I did not! So I said how about whoever made the mistake pay for it and he comes back at me the customer with well with that said why didn't you check out what you were getting. And to repeat I thought they finally got it together on my prescriptions. Even after saying I would be changing pharmacies he was still rude. I have heard many complaints about Walgreens but I kept going there thinking it wasn't that bad. I will not be going back. read more

I have had very few even decent experiences with this Walgreens location. One of my recent refill trips I used the online system to refill my prescription for pickup. I was able to put in the order with no problems, no messages came to my email or phone warning me of any problems. In fact, I got a text saying my prescription was now ready for pickup. I arrived at the drive thru window only to be told that only one of the three requested medications were ready. I asked why I hadn't been contacted in the 24 hours since I had submitted my online request. The tech mumbled something about computer systems and "it should have notified you". Where is the personal responsibility? A human being was filling my order, had an issue with it, and stopped filling the order, but couldn't bother to call a customer to tell them there was a problem? Instead, after having given 24 hours notice before picking up to save time, I was unable to get my cardiac medications without waiting another two hours. The problem? A pharmacist had to re-submit the order is what I was told. So apparently, they were waiting for me to come in to initiate the process that could have been done with one simple phone call the day before. Horrible customer service, I received no apology and was made to feel as though I was at fault. This was all after waiting 27 minutes to even be helped. read more

This Walgreens is horrible. I take some strong meds and several times have been made to feel like I am a drug seeker. Now they have a sign that says they can refuse to fill pain meds whenever they feel like it! The last straw was when trying to fill a script I have had filled there many times. It was a Sat and they told me they had to contact my Dr so it would be AT least Mon before I could get it. Again, same med I had been getting for months, from the same Dr. The only redeeming thing was that the girl who told me this also clearly said Walgreens was the only store with this policy, practically telling me to go elsewhere.
