This facility used to be Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital. Though, in early December 2024, it was…read morebought by PAM rehab and then renamed after the company. There is another location south of here in Clarksfield, Indiana, but this is the North location. This facility is deemed an acute one which takes patients who have had a stroke or a traumatic brain injury and rehabilitates them until they are maybe at least able to feed themselves and possibly walk. My primary care physician recommended this location for my mother, who had a stroke around Thanksgiving and spent three weeks in the hospital. Before the stroke, she was very active, independent and could care for herself. After the stroke, she needed to have some rehabilitation and therapy before coming home. Other facilities wanted to throw my mom away into long-term care and not really give her a chance or opportunity to attempt to rehab herself. The intake agent for PAM Health was NOT like that and she said the staff at the facilities do not have that attitude either. She took care of everything that facilitated my mom being transported from the hospital to the rehab location. Everyone who was associated with the care of my mother was amazing. They were caring, empathetic, and patient with her needs, but also challenging with her therapy when needed. In addition, they were communicative with me in terms of identifying her needs challenges, diagnosis and prognosis. I really appreciate their candidness and empathetic nature. I would not have been able to endure this whole process without them. If any other traumatic things happen to me or any of my family members, I would definitely try to get them into this facility.

The facility was absolutely spotless and the staff was engaged, attentive, committed, and caring. It was a great experience for my wife at a time when she really needed it, and I knew during her stay there that I could rest assured that she was getting the best possible care. We were offered the option of Frazier or PAM, and we would have been on a waiting list for Frazier. So glad we were "forced" to go with PAM!

When I was in the room with the doctor, he introduced himself and gave a bit of his history so I could know who I'm entrusting my health with. (I knew right then this was different than others who expect respect based solely on their title). He then asked me about myself and my life. Asked what my goals and expectations were. Honestly, I've not felt like my healthcare was a joint effort with a doctor as much as I have until this visit. I felt heard, seen, and valued. When we discussed renewal of existing prescriptions, he questioned the logic behind each and we came up with a me go forward plan based on what is safest and most logical as a Plan A, He even took time to check my insurance as we talked to see if the meds he discussed would be covered, to save us all time and headache. I picked this doctor randomly from my insurance list, but I now feel so lucky that I did!

I visit this Wound Care Center for my mother's need. Today made our third visit in the past month…read more I'm very pleased with this center. The employees are incredibly nice and attentive. The NP, Dawn Gillman, is great and very personable. She first visited my mom while she was in the hospital, so I was glad to have her for my mother's follow-up appointments. The facility is very clean, well-maintained, and with ample space large and wide enough to move wheel-chair bound patients around. The rooms are separated by a curtain and are really huge. The first appointment was quite long, but that's because they ask a lot of pertinent questions that must be entered into their records. So be prepared for that 1.5 hour visit. Without fail they already have our next appointment ready upon check-out. All you need to do is pick up your check-out paperwork and your next appointment, usually same day of the week and time slot. Very efficient team. The only drawback is that with *every* visit they ask if any patient information has changed since the last visit (even if it was just the day before) and you must sign the patient confidentiality agreement each and every time. But to their credit they did forewarn this would be the process when we visited their office the first time. They're pretty good about staying on schedule. Today I believe we waited approximately 15 minutes past our appointed time, which I don't think is a big deal. I'm very pleased with this team and would recommend Dawn Gillman and her team.
