Harrison Electric came out when no one else would! During a property inspection we were told an electrical box in the garage had been altered and was not to code. Since this is a rental, we needed it corrected properly for liability concerns. We called four electrical companies. Three declined outright, saying the job was too small. The other, ghosted us twice. I was referred to Harrison Electric and Solar by a friend. They arrived on time, assessed the problem and listened to what we wanted to do. Both electricians were very polite and professional and got right to work. Since the electrical box was installed in the 90's they upgraded everything and ran wiring inside the fire break wall to a new outlet. Everything is now up to current code, and we have peace of mind. We will not hesitate to refer others to Harrison Electric and Solar and we will use them again for our electrical and solar needs. We decided to add battery backup to our solar panel array to protect us from the coming brownouts and blackouts caused by grid overload. Not Enough Power - Too Much Demand It isn't "IF" but when. I've done business with Luke Harrison at Harrison Electric in the past and they are always responsive, courteous and fair. Luke introduced me to a newer battery manufacture and after doing my due diligence of investigating Franklin Home Power, we closed the deal and I can be "off-grid" in a nano second if the need arises. I can run nearly every appliance, lights and plugs (minus A/C, electric cooktop and oven) for as long as it takes for Edison to turn back on the grid. Terrible Company! Called midday to have them come out for a quote on electrical connection to water heater. I was told Steve would come by that day to quote the job. No show or no phone call. They called the next day at 2:06 pm to say someone would be out at 2:30pm. They did arrive exactly at 2:30pm. They were here about 20 mins they stripped down the wire and located circuit breaker . I used Harrison Electric to repair a failure in my solar panel system. My string inverter had failed, and the original installer was out of business. Their team provided a quote in a timely manner that was quite reasonable. We agreed to replace the 10 year old inverter with micro inverters which required some installation activity on the roof, retrofitting the panels. The work was completed quickly, and my system put back online. This resulted in identifying a defective solar panel which was replaced equally professionally . The current system now is operating better with a higher output. Note that there is a major improvement on solar panel output using micro inverters over the string inverter. read more

With SCE rates continuing to go up I decided it was finally time to look into solar. Spoke with a few vendors but felt the most comfortable after speaking with Luke and liked using a local company. Steve came out and checked on things and within a couple of weeks after signing the contract, Luke and Steve were able to get the permits approved and everything installed very quickly. My wife initially was concerned with having them in the front of the house but they did an amazing job and you can barely even tell there are panels on the roof. The city inspections took a little while but we had similar issues with other recent projects but they were on top of things and were able to getting the panels on the grid and working as expected. I contacted Harrison Electric to install an upgrade to my Enphase solar panels. We agreed on a date and they showed up (September, 2019) on time and spent 2 full days doing the installation. They were very professional and explained what they were doing and cordially answered all my questions. I thought the price was quite fair. About 6 months later my internet connection to the panels stopped working so I asked them to return. They told me they would, but it would be a while as we were in the midst of COVID and they were a bit shorthanded. They explained that the panels were still working fine and all the data would be stored so nothing would be lost. Luke and his son came out in June, they showed me the issues, and then fixed them. I was surprised at how quickly that were able to come to my house. We had them install a new electric panel, recess lighting, outlets, ring flood lights, etc. One of the bigger issues we have dealt with for years was in my kitchen where the breakers would shut off when we tried using more than one or two items (coffee pot, microwave, etc.) Ended up that everything in my kitchen had been connected to one wire. The Solar Panel Layout they chose looks great on our roof. Not like a bad game of Tetris that some of my neighbors have. The installers went above and beyond and were happy to explain what they were doing every time I took a glance at them while they were working on the roof.
