Work completed between Dec 2024 - Jan 2025 Team & Process My wife and I had just closed on a house and contracted Electric Brothers to update the electrical work on our new home. Our home inspector had recommended Electric Brothers to us. They were very easy to communicate with. This was my first time working with a contractor at this scope. Thankfully the team was professional and accommodating to our questions throughout the whole process. I had a huge list of work I wanted done on the house and the crew were understanding and offered financially flexible options for the work. Early on we had an unrelated permitting issue on the house and Electric Brothers was patient and helped us come up with solutions on how to continue the work on the electrical permit without affecting the other permit. From the get go Kamea and Isaac came out to do a walkthrough of our home to decide what the scope of work would be. At this point we weren't certain of how we were planning on remodeling the house but Kamea and Isaac offered flexible solutions. They were able to get the permit and started on the work quite quickly. Jose, Jonathan and the rest of the crew got to work removing the panel and old outlets and switches. I had requested some change orders later on and Eric and David were able to accommodate quickly. After all the work was complete, Antonio and Marcos patched all the holes inside and out. The patch work even impressed our inspector and the electric company that stopped by to adjust our power lines. The whole team was great and was willing to offer a ton of great house advice in general. Scope of Work The scope of the work included a panel upgrade, moving the panel and adding grounding to the house. We had also extended our powerline above the roof of the house to give our backyard some more vertical space. For the full house rewire, we had replaced all the existing wire with new wiring and relocated many of the outlets and switches. Kamea and Isaac worked closely with us to position the outlets and switches exactly where we wanted them. This included outlets inside and outside. Throughout the process we did have many specific requests but the team was able to pivot quickly without hesitation. Of course this did cause some slight miscommunication in the office but nothing detrimental to the project. In addition to the rewire work we also wanted to set up the electrical for our future remodeling plans. Jose made sure the circuits in the kitchen would be appropriate for the new appliances we had ordered. We updated some of our exterior lights as well and added additional lighting in one of our bathrooms. Both bathrooms were updated with new Panasonic vent fans. I also requested the wiring to be set up for an electric car charger for the future. Summary All in all a great experience! We'd definitely work together again in the future. My best suggestion to other new homeowners for a project of this scale is to align on the specific project goals before the starting walkthrough. I had to leave this review because it was worth leaving! Let me start off by saying that the experience began a tad rocky about a year ago. I saw the great reviews and decided to give them a try to get electrical work done by Electric Bros. I had an appointment set and the electrician didn't show up. I had called and they had apologized for the no-show. I didn't set up another appointment with them because my summer break was over so, I would be doing it in the upcoming year. As a first time home owner, I was very skeptical about finding a good company to do good work for our home. I decided to get back to them this summer break (2025) because I had such high hopes for this company and I am so GLAD I did because the experience was AWESOME! They were quick to check out our electrical needs, set up an appointment, and get started on the project. Our house project was a big one, but they did such a great job completing the work. What I truly found settling was that the main electrician (Juan) was so efficient with his work, he was open to explaining all the work being done and material being used. This was a 4 day work project and every day they left... They left our space clean and ready for us to use for the remainder of the day. Work Done : March 20, 2024 I found the Electric Brothers on yelp and liked all the positive reviews that they had received. So I called and spoke to Edgar whom gave me a rough estimate via email. Scheduling was easy. The technicians who came out were very polite, informational, and professional. The work was done in a few hours. I had them replace 30year old motion lights that stopped working on the front and back of my garage. They also replaced the 30 year old front porch motion light that went out. I had a two prong outlet changed to a three prong outlet indoors. But the one really big project that I needed done in the back was my outdoor outlet for my above ground pool pump plug-in. It was hanging off of the wall due to a previous yard worker, yanking on the cord of the plug and pulling the outlet out of the wall, that had been installed back in 2018 by somebody else. So they came and checked the wiring and it was OK and they took that outlet out and replaced it with a better outlet and secured it to the wall. And then I had them change out the huge GFCI plug that was on my sand filter to a smaller one, so it would fit inside the outlets enclosed weather cover. UPDATE - June 14, 2024: I placed a follow up call and had them come back out two days ago, due to me having to replace my pool sand filter under warranty. The company sent me a new one, which again had that big GFCI plug that I could not open. Edgar came right out & fixed it within 10 minutes. Great service. Hello, i had Electric Bros survey my 50s built home due to some electrical problems and turns out i had bad arcing and other issues including the fact that my panel was never meant to handle the appliances i currently have. For an extremely great price they installed a new solar ready panel brand new breakers with emergency shut off breakers new ground rods and grounded both of my boilers!! Since they did such a great job i also had them correct some horrible wiring in my attic and they will also be doing some circuits in my kitchen. On 9/25 & 26, 2024, I upgraded 28 can lights to LED fixtures to provide brighter and more even lighting of the spaces. I also upgraded 9 old GFCI outlets throughout home and replaced a wall sconce with a more efficient fixture. I intended to add 8 can lights to 2 bedrooms but it wasn't possible due to the inability to securely install the housings in the roof/attic. I appreciated Eric explaining the reasons to me rather than performing a substandard job that I likely would not even have known about until something went wrong. From the moment Isaac came out to give us a quote we were excited to work with them. We had a big job-updated our 40 amp panel (that was wired in a crazy fashion with sub panels galore) to 200 amp, new outlets and switches throughout, new fixtures, ceiling fans, garage sub panel, relocated the main panel, hanging lights in garage, new outlets outside and inside, can lights in various spots and in showers, installing flood lights outside (with an unexpected motion detection issue that they helped fix!). The big thing that was the cherry on top was they did their own handyman work- helped move our vent to put the living room ceiling fan where we wanted it AND they did their own paint match/finishing/stucco work. The paint was perfectly matched. They covered everything in plastic/tarps and cleaned up daily. They even helped us remove an old exhaust hood and patch up after. Pro's from the word go! The crew of electricians that worked on my complete electrical upgrade where great! I needed to remove a federal pacific electric stablock panel which are known to be fire hazards. My upgrade was not cut and dry as i decided to move my main service from the back of my house to the back of my detached garage. So the electric brothers crew installed a new 200 amp service behind my garage and then ran underground wire to my home and also installed a 100 amp sub in my hallway. In the process they also added multiple wall and ceiling outlets inside and outside and wired up the ceiling can lights i installed with 6" led lights. I received several estimates for my electrical panel upgrade for my home built in 1950 which had a circa 1970 Zinsco 100A panel (safety issue!). The panel needed to be replaced immediately. I selected Electric Brothers because they seemed to have a solid understanding of the work to be performed and prided themselves on performing quality work. I wasn't disappointed. Edgar and team took care of getting all of the permits, I didn't have to deal with it at all. Their execution team (Sal and Chewy) were extremely punctual and hard-working. They were an overall pleasure to work with. Once the project started, the guys knocked down stucco and removed the existing panel and ran 6 new appliance drops in my kitchen and laundry room. They then wired up all the circuits to the new panel and got the permit signed off with the city. I selected stucco patch as part of my bid. The guy that did that for them was outstanding - the patch is perfect and the color match is spot on. Electric Brothers went above and beyond what any contractor has ever done for me. We had a mis-understanding about the scope of the kitchen re-wire (most likely by me) and they came back and replaced EVERY outlet and switch in the ENTIRE house as part of rectification of the issue to ensure customer satisfaction. I was completely BLOWN AWAY. No contractor has ever done anything like that for me before. Also during the final sign-off phase for the stucco, I had a breaker trip and John the project manager helped my troubleshoot an issue that was the result of how I capped the wires at the lighting fixture that leaded to a wall switch after removing a ceiling fan. All I can say is these guys are a Class act, their work is exceptional, the guys on their team are super and their commitment to customer satisfaction is top notch. I have nothing but all good things to say about Isaac and his guys! We needed our home's electric panel upgraded and we called around a few companies. Electric Bros stood out. Terrell is the guy you will get on the phone. He was pleasant and communicative. Isaac, the owner, came out right away for an estimate. Isaac was honest, professional, and straight to the point. He was not at all pushy to get things done, (which we appreciated at the time since we were still in the process of deciding). Isaac answered our questions patiently. He explained things to help us understand and come to a decision. A few days later, Juan, Agusto, and Chewy were the guys who showed up to work on the panel. These guys came on time (7:30am) ready to work. They were amazing! They are hardworking and very professional. They respected our home by masking at all times, cleaning their shoes before entering and placing protection over the areas they will come in contact and may possibly get dirty. Remember that you get what you pay for (I learned on my mistakes) and with electrical job there is no jokes and fixing it may be very expensive if you don't do it right the first time. Isaac and Mike did a big job on our fixer upper - high ceiling recess lights, fans in all rooms (there were only lamps), new light fixtures, main panel and subpanel replacement. The quote was affordable and fair and they delivered what they promised and never overpromised. They were always on time, reliable, with positive attitude and accommodated our remodel schedule.
