Despite not being able to go there as frequently as I would prefer, the experience offered is truly unparalleled. The staff members are exceptional, the animals are both entertaining and well-cared for, and the produce they offer is consistently of high quality and incredibly flavorful. On top of all that, they host goat yoga sessions where the friendly and playful goats mingle with the yogis, creating a joyful environment. I attended a wonderful dinner at Harrison Farm in Groveport. Not only was the meal delicious but it was so lovely to be amongst lovely people and animals. The owner and self proclaimed "Spinster Farmer" Katherine guided us on a tour of the farm that was once tended to by her great-grandparents. Katherine greeted all of the many animals that we saw on our tour by their own unique names, showing respect and affection for each one. Harrison Farm is such a treat to visit. Katherine and her staff are always super nice and accomodating. I have been twice for a Goat Yoga event, and it's such fun to have goats of all sizes roam around and sometimes lay on your mat. There is a space in the grass in front for classes, which run rain or shine. I believe there is a separate covered space if it rains. Katherine's chocolate chip cookies, made from her grandmother's recipe, are a delicious complimentary snack at the end. read more

Went here for a Farm to Table event thru Edible Columbus. Wasn't sure what to expect, but had a wonderful, informative evening! The owner was very forthcoming about the history of the farm and her goals/events, and gave us a tour of the farm and operations, introduced us to her many types of animals, and shared each function of the animals she has on her farm. You should look up their page on Facebook and Instagram: they have activities throughout the week, lime Goat Yoga, and Wine Down Yoga. You can also buy eggs and other goods from the farm. Harrison Farm is a working farm owned by Katherine Harrison, on a country road near the outskirts of Groveport, Ohio, very close to Canal Winchester. I have had the pleasure of visiting the farm multiple times for their goat yoga classes. Katherine has a spectacular love for her goats that she raises and she was lucky enough years ago to meet Dana Bern. Dana happened to be a think outside the box yoga instructor, so when Katherine approached her with an outside the box idea, Dana didn't balk. They began holding goat yoga classes at the farm for the public. The first few classes I participated in were well attended public classes. It only took one class to know I was hooked. Most yoga classes are done in a yoga studio. When you are able to practice yoga on a working farm with all the sounds of animals / nature enveloping you, you are literally transformed. I just fell in love with everything that was happening around me. Katherine's love of cultivating a relationship with the community and her farm emanates in everything she says and does. She wants to encourage the learning / experiences that most people may not have had an opportunity to have on a farm. She has a true love for her goats and it shows. Her goats are literally part of her family, she treats them kindly and respectfully. Dana is an incredible yoga instructor. She makes you feel comfortable. As she says, you don't get a trophy in yoga, make the move your own. She has this unique ability to intertwine the farm into her yoga practice so seamlessly. She has even allowed the goats to influence some of the yoga moves, such as goat pose. The new move she introduced last night thanks to Katherine the goat was a tough one, it is a mix of goat pose with movement forward. Totally challenging. They also offer private classes that you can book by e-mailing Katherine. It is a unique experience for any group looking to do team building or a truly special experience for a group of friends. Harrison farm is a beautiful, warm, welcoming place (even in the coldest months of winter)! The farm is run by a wonderful woman whose love for animals overflows to everything she touches. The animals very clearly love their lives and interacting with the visitors that come to the farm for different events and activities. I was very lucky and won a set of tickets for a farm to table dinner event at the Harrison farm. The event was slated to start at 6:00pm, so we arrived about 10 minutes early and the farm looked gorgeous. Katherine Harrison greeted us as we came up the driveway and ushered us back to the "Hanger", which is where the dinner would be served. We couldn't help but notice the chickens, which have free run of the farm and seemed to be really interested in what was going on. After a few minutes, more people arrived and it looked like most of the seats were filled. The staff offered us appetizers, consisting of Fried Green Tomatoes, Lamb Meatballs and Deviled Eggs, all were delicious. Katherine then told us some of the history of the farm and how she ended up getting involved in it. The "Hanger" we were sitting in really did once house an airplane and the original farm house was built in the 1820s. Her grandparents owned it for many years and she is doing a great job of carrying on their legacy. She toured us around the farm and we got to meet more chickens, (over 300 of them in total), some Alpacas, Goats, Sheep, Bunnies, Ducks and a big beautiful looking Horse. The Alpacas were a little shy, but one let me pet it. The goats were not shy at all and some of them came out to say hello. All of the animals looked healthy and happy. This might have been my favorite part of the evening. We also learned that Katherine was conducting Goat Yoga classes in her front yard, which would be amazing to see and experience! After the tour, we went back to the hanger and they began serving dinner. They brought out plates of Goat Chops, along with sides of Greens, Rice and Carrots. One of our table mates (Steve), who works at the Edible Columbus Magazine, explained where all of the food used for the event was sourced from. The vegetables were all grown by a group of children over in the Hilltop area, where they have a small organic field. The carrots and greens we were served, were some of the tastiest I've ever had. The meats and eggs were all from the Harrison farm. A catering team took all of these ingredients and put together a wonderful meal. For dessert, they offered slices of Peach and/or Key Lime Pie, along with fresh coffee. The pies were also made locally and I heard they were both very tasty. Once dinner was over, Katherine invited us all to stroll around the farm, take photos and enjoy the scenery. The sun was setting, the fields looked awesome and the chickens were very photogenic. As we were leaving, we even got to purchase a carton of fresh eggs to take home! Katherine, we can't say enough good things about you and what you and your team are doing at the farm. A working farm in this day and age can/could be a tough life but you seem to think outside of the box and we have no doubts you will succeed. Thank you! read more

Went here for goat yoga for my friends birthday. So much fun. Yoga was nice and the goats were an added plus. We got a tour of the farm afterwards as well. Everyone should come here and support their local farm. The owner Katherine was very sweet and gave us homemade cookies afterwards. read more

Katherine creates a loving and open environment at her farm. Her team is just as respectful and knowledgeable as she is. Their desire to educate their visitors is refreshing but not pushy or preachy. Katherine has a genuinely kind heart and makes the experience on her farm one-of-a-kind and memorable. It's impossible to walk away from Harrison Farm in a bad mood. We took part in Dana's "Wine" Down yoga class and she is just a peach to be around. She meets you were you're at in your yoga experience (most of us were novices at best). Dana creates an open and comfortable environment for her class which allows you to let go and relax. Please, please, please take trip to this farm. They truly are a one-of-a-kind farm.
