Great service is all about impeccable timing. That's what our server, Dana, and the rest of the team at Harrison's gave us. My partner and I were seated right away and we started off with drinks. The drinks came minutes after ordering, which was a big surprise considering how busy it was. From there, we ordered the meatballs, shrimp and crab cocktail, brisket ravioli, and the stuffed mushrooms to start. There were too many good options from the starter menu, so we went all out. it seemed like 5 minutes later we got all of our appetizers. Again, crazy timing! We both ordered the chicken piccata and (again) it came out QUICK. The food was on par with the pricing - nothing too fancy, but still really good. Overall, very impressed with the design, ambiance, and the service. Other restaurants should take notes on Harrison's focus on service. Will definitely be back soon. read more

What a newfound gem!!! The atmosphere is awesome with contemporary design with nice booths and tables. Genuine Oak wood and leather are very nice. The bar seats plenty and the drinks were on point. The outdoor seating will be fantastic when the weather warms up. I just popped in to check it out and had a quick lunch. The half Italian panini with a Caesar salad was very tasty. I sat near the vault at the bar which is really cool but I got to several meals be delivered and they looked awesome!! Great choice! read more

This place is a hidden gem! We had dinner here on a Saturday night. We had reservations as we were a group of 5 but it wasn't too busy so I'm not sure we would have needed them. It has outdoor seating (covered so you aren't baking in the sun), there was an outdoor fireplace. It felt so cozy. The inside bar was fun and the decor was contemporary meets subtle luxury. This used to be a bank. I love when older buildings are repurposed instead of being torn down and replaced with some cookie cutter building. And it is always nice to find a private parking lot free of charge in the downtown area. That said, they did a nice job redesigning the interior. I have mixed feelings about the food unfortunately. The food is plated nicely and looks very attractive. I had ordered the antipasti salad and a burger with fries. The salad was not only gorgeous, but full of interesting ingredients and absolutely fantastic. Too bad the burger and truffle fries disappointed. It was the driest burger I had in a long time and the fries were just ok. I am hoping these were just starter problems as we came here fairly soon after they opened. My guests had mixed feelings also, with some dishes rated highly while others were just so-so. I am hopeful that eventually the food will be consistently great. read more

I was scrolling devour and found this new restaurant to try out. We went and they have renovated super cute on the inside. It was a nice evening so we decided to sit on the pretty spacious patio. It took a little while for the server to come and greet us so we were ready for our order. The was okay to me. I feel like it's missing an authentic taste to it. The salmon was tad over cooked. Really enjoyed checking out this place for the first time during Devour! It was extra unique to see what they did with the place given it was once my bank! It is lovely! The old drive up window area now houses a great patio space and they even have a large booth inside the old bank vault. We came as a group of 4 for Devour week. We were seated quickly and it appeared to be a busy night. We did not have an actual server and we had to keep flagging people down as they were helping other tables so we could order drinks or ask questions. The food itself was seasoned well and the portion was average. We ordered the lasagna which came with bread, pesto linguine, salad, and cherry jubilee. I feel like the pesto should have come with protein for the price of $50. We had the peachmopolitan drink which was good. The restaurant itself is very pretty and interesting considering it used to be a bank. We got a glimpse of the room that used to be the vault which was neat. They had plenty of outdoor seating and indoor seating as well as a bar. read more

We've been wanting to come here since they opened and finally found a perfect time during Devour We called in to make reservations at 5:30, the host said they could accommodate us if we came a little bit earlier it would be great We did came a little earlier for their request and to make sure we can make out Old National event at 7, we thought it was going to be busy it wasn't, also wasn't busy at 5:30 which we were confused, wondering why they wanted us earlier they were plenty of open tables We started with some bread and their balsamic vinaigrette/oil dipping concoction which was good For devour we had salad and entree and we opted for dessert instead of an appetizer to share, the Caesar could had more dressing and the main entre could have looked more full but it rather look like it was small amount of food the way it's plated Our server Brett was great, what wasn't great was the bus boy, he was too quick and came very often which distracted us from our conversations a lot and he grabbed them before asking for permission also putting his hand over our plates while we're eating. Such an amazing new addition to Indy's food scene! It's a renovated bank that makes it such a unique spot (you can even sit in the "vault" room). We came for lunch and got the chicken parm sandwich (DELICIOUS SO GOOD!) and the fettuccini Alfredo (also amazing). We live downtown and often visit new restaurants only to be underwhelmed by the food. But we were pleasantly surprised by Harrison's and will definitely be back, as well as suggesting it to friends. Also another huge perk is they have a PARKING LOT!!! This is so rare for downtown and makes it that much more accessible than other restaurants where you have to pay for street parking. read more

For our anniversary, we decided to come check out Harrison's, instead of going to one of our usual haunts. It was a Sunday evening so it was in the quieter side. We ordered the shrimp and crab cocktail and mussels as an appetizers. We were worried we would end up being way too full for dinner but the portions were very reasonable. The mussels were phenomenal! The shrimp and crab were good but the cocktail sauce was pretty on par with any cocktail sauce. I am not a tartar sauce person so I can't speak to how that was. We both had the Caesar salad before dinner and thought it was great. For our meal, we had the Chicken Parmesan and Shrimp fra Diavolo. These were definitely more an entree sized meal which was perfect for a little bit of leftovers. My husband seemed to really enjoy his chicken parm and I thought my shrimp was great! It definitely had a kick which was fine by me. Never one to pass up dessert, I ordered the tiramisu and my husband had the cheesecake. The cheesecake was incredible! For me, the tiramisu left a bit to be desired. The cake was dry and when I think of tiramisu, I'm thinking lady fingers soaked in espresso and/or liqueur. That said, I still inhaled it but would probably try something different next time. We had a wonderful server and experience all around and look forward to coming back and trying something different next time. Hopeful for its continued success! read more

So glad to see this creative reuse of an abandoned bank building. The space is really well done- and especially nice on their patio that used to be the drive thru. Food is solid. I especially love the Greek salad with grilled shrimp. They have a nice variety of options for a bunch of different palates. Staff is friendly and helpful. And for a larger party- of like 10, you can squeeze into the former bank vault. A great option for drinks or an uncomplicated meal. And it was especially appealing to the out of town relatives who don't deal well with downtown, since they have an ample parking lot. read more

The atmosphere was good. They've done a good job transforming a bank into a welcoming restaurant. The food was very good American/Italian food. I had the meatballs and the bolognese. The bar selection is very limited; no amari, not even Fernet; no rums besides spiced; only one rye, but the bartender's are excellent. read more

Old bank building that changed over...quite a bit! Relaxed casual atmosphere that dims lights as night gets late. Their italian pastas and entrees were great. Their pork chop had interesting sauce, and I enjoyed their chicken parmesan during this visit. They are all on board with balsamic as far as their food goes - so definitely ask for adjustment if you are not as into it. Their marinara sauce was balanced and not as acidic as some places go. We came here for devour, have been eyeing this opening for some time! We will probably wait a while before trying again. Ambiance is great, the space is beautiful and unique. Drinks were good. However, food just didn't hold up. The flatbread was nothing special, the Cesar salad actually tasted like Italian dressing. The chicken parm was fine, and the mashed potatoes I could have made myself. The filet was interesting, but came on a hot plate that while giving it some flavor unfortunately kept cooking it. Obviously we hope this does well since we live nearby, and we will maybe try again. read more

My husband, I, and a couple friend of ours went to Harrison's for the first time last night and were blown away. What an absolutely wonderful experience! First, the restaurant is GORGEOUS. The building is a renovated bank and is very unique, including a beautiful bar, outside dining with fire pits, and a private vault that you can book for events. Plus.... FREE PARKING! In a lot! Need I say more... Everyone we met, from the waiter, to the actual owner, were SO nice. The owner himself came by multiple times to make sure everything was good, and was cracking jokes and just a fun guy. Thirdly, of course, was the food and cocktails. I had the Spiced Apple Tini (a fall cocktail) and it was AWESOME. The couple I was with also said the cocktails they had that were not the seasonal were also amazing. The bread before dinner was so yummy and soft! Appetizers were well done, and all of our entrees came out quickly and were delicious. New place just off of Mass Ave, with it's own parking, was a choice to enjoy on Devour Indy restaurant list. The interior of the bank has gone industrial chic, very well done for the spaces provided, the dining table in the old vault is a nice touch. Italian primarilarly the cuisine, done fresh and well seasoned. Steak served on a sizzle plate, ala fajitas, was well prepared. Cherries jubilee at the end was the best dish. Worth a visit read more

Great new restaurant in downtown Indy! It has a small, cozy feel that's very refreshing in the middle of the busy streets and hubbub of the city. We stopped in just a few days after they opened to grab a snack and some drinks and check out the new space. The restaurant is laid out beautifully and has great decor. I especially love the use of the old bank vault as a private dining space. We sat at the bar and had drinks. The bartender made the wrong drink for one of us and rather than just replace the drink with the correct order my guest decided to drink it. We ordered an appetizer, salad and an entrée all to share. The shrimp and crab cocktail is really good. The Crab is a nice touch. The burrata salad is also very nice. I think we got the balsamic dressing, which was delicious. We finished with the lasagna. The lasagna is very flavorful and holds up on the plate. All of the dishes came out together. We were expecting them to be delivered in courses. They will continue to refine the service process. The location is great, if feels like a nice upscale diner, the food....not so great. The burger was bland and the fries were your basic remanufactures mashed potatoes into frozen twigs with sprinkles on it to try to improve them. I have to wonder how much they are paying for a bag of those frozen twigs vs. a basic pound of potatoes turned into great home cut fries. For the price and the cost of eating out in a restaurant now days, I would be afraid to spend any more of my money on anything else there. Something is missing on the food prep. Our server Lindsey was warm and welcoming with quick service and a friendliness that is rare in restaurants nowadays. I ordered the rigatoni Bolognese and it was delicious. Became aware of this place due to their participation in Devour Indy, with an exceptionally reasonable deal including an appetizer or dessert, 2 salads, and 2 entrees for $50. In looking them up, I discovered they renovated a former bank. Also learned that they had only been open for around a month, which made me a tad nervous as we had visited a couple of new-ish restaurants in the past during Devour that were a tad rocky experiences (and also lead to one of my very 1st Yelp contributions). To access one of the 18 or so spots within their on-site parking (pretty nice perk for downtown), you need to approach the restaurant from the south on Delaware. Also if you wish to exit to North Street, you may have to navigate around a vehicle using the ATM still in operation from the previous tenant. The host stand was not easily evident to me, but it was just to the right after you walk in. They promptly seated us in a space on the west-side of the building semi-separated from the main-room by vertical slats. Our table included part booth and 2 chairs, although it was a little awkwardly tight to a table of 4 just northwest of us. Our server, Hope, was prompt, courteous, and personable, as were the runner and busser. My wife ordered their Ash & Elm's Fleeting Youth Draft ($5) while I chose the Founders Porter Draft ($6), which we both very much enjoyed. For an appetizer, we shared the Four Cheese MezzaLuna ($12). It is described as fried ravioli stuffed with 4 cheeses (mozzarella, provolone, asiago, parmesan) that comes as an order of 5 on top of greens and served with house marinara. The marinara is good and the cheese combination is absolutely amazing, but my wife described the ravioli shell as a very thin cracker and on its own would prevent our ordering the dish again. We each selected the House Salad ($12). It was a decent sized plate filled with spring mix tossed in Italian dressing with red onion, cucumber, tomato, croutons, and shaved asiago. It was well composed and I would order it again. For entrees, my wife chose Grilled Salmon ($29) and I chose Chicken Piccata ($25). Her salmon was finished with a creamy Italian chive sauce and came with broccoli. Although the varying sizes of the broccoli caused some of them to be less fully cooked than others, she said she would order it again. My chicken was tender and juicy served over linguine. It was fine, although I personally prefer a little more lemon flavor. Overall, it was a pretty good experience in service and food at very reasonable prices. Not sure it's one of our favorites based on this visit, but would definitely be open to returning. Perhaps a different spot in the restaurant, like their outdoor patio space, or if we would have ordered a couple of different items, like the Crispy Parmesan Garlic Brussels Sprouts ($12) or Judy's Lasagna ($22), would have made more of an impact. read more

I was excited to see this restaurant open. It's very nice inside with a prominent bar and very nice (dog friendly) out door space. The food though, it's ok. But there is a place very close to you called Mesh that I would choose over Harrison's. I've had 2 dishes Alfredo and chicken parm. They were Fine. But I wouldn't get them again. Tried for the first time for a last minute pick. Hope was our server she was so sweet and provided great service. I'd rate about 4.5 on the food. Today was my 2nd visit to Harrison's. A couple of weeks ago, I was there for lunch with a friend of mine who suggested this new place. I was impressed with the lunch menu, service, and environment so I made dinner reservations for my 46th wedding anniversary dinner tonight. My wife and I were very impressed with the great service ... friendly and professional. We had a nice window table. The cocktails were excellent (peachopolitan & blueberry breeze) and the Brussel Sprouts appetizer were the best we've had and are one of our favorites. Main courses (chicken piccata & fettuccine Alfredo with chicken) were tasty and appropriate portions. We also had the chicken velvet soup which also did not disappoint us.
