This comic book store might as well be called an art gallery. All of the different art on the walls and statues and figures in cases were great. They have a huge selection of back issues. A little pricey, but what do you expect from a store in a tourist area. The staff are crazy friendly. This store has a lower level which is all of their cards, Pokemon, MTG, Sports, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc... I purchased a few items and admired the view. Awesome place.

We stopped in to kill some time and we were glad we did! This is heaven for lovers of comics, anime, pop culture and movies. My husband and I both got a couple graphic novels. Really cool spot! We were able to find books we can't find anywhere else.

This shop is a dream for comic book fans and has a large selection for non-fans to browse and get lost in. I was amazed by all of the items on display and saw so many items I wanted. The shop is organized by interest and easy to navigate despite having such an enormous selection. We spent almost an hour just browsing the aisles at Harrison's comics. The staff were very helpful when I asked questions looking for a specific book. They do not have a public restroom for patrons; which did come up during my visit.

I come to this comic/pop culture store every year when I come visit Salem. Inside is always organized & they have a lot of merch. Prices can get high due to some of the products being rare. Everyone is always friendly. This year they had more workers. I def will be back! The only thing I wish they had more of was horror merch & Archie Comics(those are my faves I'm ol' school).

My sister and I like to come browse this place every time we're in the area because they have of lots of nostalgic merchandise. If you're into rare comics, figurines, & memorabilia, I recommend you check them out.

Fantastic, top-notch, comic shop! If you are into comics, you'll be a kid in a candy store. Too often, comic shops are mostly gaming shops. Not this one! If you go during the Halloween season, be ready to deal with crowds.

We were on vacation in the area and saw this cool spot. The store is pretty big and has a lot of things. There was a little of everything. I loved their hello kitty selection. The prices were okay. My son was able to find a few comics.

There was a time I was big into Dungeons and Dragons. I know, right? Well, I don't do that any more but I still follow it and stepped into Harrison's to see what's the latest. The store has gaming and figurines and comics and board games and books and all sorts of collectibles. It's almost a bit overwhelming. Prices looked great and yes, I bought a Doctor Who comic as a gift for my daughter. [Review 18596 overall - 1179 in Massachusetts - 2118 of 2022.]

Oh my goodness, cheap thrills music, where do I even begin. One day I was in this wonderful store,…read moreand I was browsing through the delightful CD selection, when my eyes locked onto a beautiful sight; Crackwhore - Somebody Loves You. This CD is truly a blessing from the heavens and delivered to us via the prophet Robert. This is both the greatest album in history, and the greatest album of today. This is what happens when you search through a vault of precious 24 karat gold, and still manage to leave with the highest quality platinum. This CD ruined all other albums for me, nothing else even holds a candle. The beautiful singing, the masterful guitar work, the majestic drumming, God I can't even accurately describe how exquisite it is. I immediately wished to purchase this masterpiece, but as this work of art was so coveted, as at the time there was zero information easily findable on the internet, the store owner and I reached an agreement. We would do research on how much the CD originally sold for and I would later return to this treasure trove to agree on a price. 1 week later I made my return, and after discovering that it originally sold for an affordable 5 U.S dollars, the prophet Robert, in all of his wondrous generosity, let me have it for 10. That is the story of how I obtained the pinnacle of human expression in music form on one, inexpensive, incredible CD. Thank you for reading this section of feedback, and please consider visiting this establishment, as I can guarantee that you will leave a happy patron with the greatest music one could ever hear, except of course, for Crackwhore, as only I am lucky enough to have a copy of humanity's magnum opus.

They did the same thing when vinyl was not in vogue, so I appreciate that Mystery Train doesn't feel the need to drastically alter their landscape based on trends like some other music stores. For CDs, I have found that the prices have remained consistently affordable. It's usually $5-7 for used CDs and the genre sections are very deep, so one is bound to find something recognizable as well as obscure. There are also plenty of $1 bin options (especially more so these days) for those who don't want to spend a whole lot for music. They've also got some very solid box sets for $20+ which I have a weakness for as the quirky packaging always gets me. I have always found the staff at Mystery Train to be very laid back and knowledgeable, and I often see them answering any question without a trace of disdain or snootiness. They have also been known to get out from behind the desk and go find things for people. Whether you're looking for something mainstream or way offstream, definitely stop by Mystery Train if you're in the Gloucester area.

The walls are crammed with figurines, masks, and memorabilia--some genuinely cool, some you could find online for half the price if you can spell "Amazon." But hey, Salem tax is real, and apparently nostalgia comes with a surcharge. The store itself is brightly lit, which sort of kills the "spooky collectible" vibe and makes it feel more like you're shopping in a dentist's waiting room with masks on the wall. Window displays draw you in, but once inside it's a quick lap and you're done. Definitely not a place you'll get lost digging through hidden treasures--unless you consider Funko Pops a rare find. The staff? Friendly, technically. If they talk to you at all. Some days you'll get a warm hello, other days you'll wonder if you accidentally broke into the store after hours. Overall: it's fine. Quick in, quick out, nothing offensive but nothing remarkable. Three stars for existing, charging too much, and reminding me that in Salem, even plastic monsters cost a premium.
