Emporium 32 was a fun little shop! There were so many items to look at and explore - I felt like I could of spent hours in here. Due to the size of the store, they abide by the capacity and we had to wait outside in line before going in - I think they also have a time limit for how long you are allowed to stay in the store as well. They offered books, soaps, stickers, matchstick boxes, purfumes, cocktails in a bottle and even vintage Halloween items. I ended up buying 2 tin lip balms - one for me and one for my daughter. I believe they were $6 each which I thought was fair priced. Overall, I thought this store was really unique and had a lot of really cool items. I liked that they even had a Zoltar that tells your fortune for a small fee - it was a fun edition. Check them out! read more

Such a great store. The workers were beyond kind, they gave my daughter a dollar so she could use the Zoltar machine which was beyond nice of them. My 3 year old loved this store and all the Knick knacks and so did mom. I left with a beautiful Salem Christmas ornament that's faux vintage, just my style. I am always on the hunt for zoltar! He is a must see anywhere and everywhere I go. So when I find him I am extra happy . Found out he was at the emporium so I stood in line. Line went fast. When I got inside I bee lined for him. One dollar later got my fortune we were interested in seeing some hat options. Nick was very patient kind while we discussed hats. My husband ended up with purchasing a new Fedora and I ended up purchasing a new feather piece for my 1920s Halloween outfit. Prices extremely reasonable. Facility clean, well lit, and the decor beautiful. Super happy we stopped in. read more

One of my favorite shops during my Salem trip. It is nicely curated and put together very well. Seems to be a mix of handmade and other, I enjoyed what they had to offer. This place closes at 6 o'clock and we showed up until 10 minutes till. An employee came out and told us that they were closing when we came in. We had driven six hours and this was our first shot that we wanted to visit on November 1 and they closed 10 minutes early. read more

This is probably in the top 3 of my favorite stores in Salem. While they do have stuff that you can easily find online, they also have such a curated variety of jewelry, posters, hats, etc. The customer service is always great and I do feel like their selection rotates pretty frequently. The last few times, I've noticed new items that I hadn't seen before. They also have a fortune telling machine "Zoltar" although he was out of order last time I went, I still had fun browsing around. This shop was a feast for the eyes! Gorgeous displayed items, plenty of oddities I would have loved to indulge in! John was the one who actually got something here! They have quite the selection of hats for both men and women~ John was commenting about he couldn't pull off the Irish Tweed Hat look and grabbed one to prove his point and guess what! He looked great! I told him to turn around and look in the mirror and he was surprised! These hats are never inexpensive- but this wool and cashmere lined, waterproof hat was $60. That's what I expected- the craftsmanship of the hat was wonderful and it was raining and did indeed keep his head dry the rest of the day. My proud Irishman was so happy he wore it the rest of our stay and on the plane ride home! Makes me smile~ read more

I had this business saved to visit for over a year and a half and was very excited to finally be able to visit but was SO disappointed with our experience. Unfortunately we chose this as our first stop once arriving to Salem and that was definitely a mistake. The items in the store are very nice but the lady working when we arrived was so rude, very abrupt and short with shoppers, made faces to show her displeasure when she had to talk to or interact with customers, and pushed past/blocked our shopping numerous times in the 10 minutes we spent in the store to ignore customers and stock shelves. There were a couple of items I really liked and wanted to look at and maybe buy, but the sale lady's behavior was so awful and mean that I didn't feel comfortable asking for help and left without buying anything read more

In Salem, secreted among the tourist traps and kitschy souvenirs are a few real gems for people looking for unique pieces to remember their visit by; this is one of them. I don't care how long the line is. Go here. Part of the reason there *is* a line lies in the consideration of the owner for her patrons who would truly miss out if they didn't have room to wander the store easily. I was extremely excited to visit this store. I walked in it was everything I'd hoped it would have been except for one thing. I waited for close to 15 minutes to see everyone who came in after me get helped as I was ignored. I understand there are protocols for retail stores so I don't mind waiting. But, this was different I wasn't even acknowledged. I had several things I was going to purchase but, I just put them back and walked out. I'm sure this was probably just a one off thing as several of the reviews for this store are quite lovely in fact. It just really bummed me out. Loooong wait to get in but once we got in we didn't feel rushed so it was worth it. I really liked the look of the place and they had some really different stuff. Fun steampunk/hipster feeling to it and very different from the more touristy shops we passed. A little pricey, but definitely higher quality, so be aware when you go in so you don't get sticker shock. My girlfriend has already gotten compliments on her hat, so thanks guys! read more
