Disappointed. Not with the Mercury Motor we bought but with some of the personnel. Let me explain: We met their sales manager Bill Tobias last August with a plan to purchase a new 115hp Mercury outboard. Seemed like a nice guy. Responsive and enthusiastic. Decided to postpone till early in 2026. Called in early February. All good. We put down a deposit ($2k ... not small) to get the process moving. We gave specific timelines and, though earlier than expected, it worked OK. Still good. Did all the financing with Marisa Frank. She was excellent all the way through even apologized for some little things the finance company called for late. She was very professional. Motor installed. Seemed great. When we left the boat, I asked them to "please charge both my batteries AND grease my trailer wheel bearings!" (Common procedure with boats). I was told no problem and Marisa even noted it on our service chart. After a couple days we were notified the boat was ready. We drove up (200 miles) to pick it up. Stayed the night to be there in the morning. Got there and boat was ready. Then we learned of some options no one mentioned earlier and expressed our interest. They were able to add the option curbside and we took the boat. As we mentioned to them prior to giving them the boat FOR the install, we weren't ready to put the boat in our slip at the lake, so it was going back into our storage facility. No problems were anticipated. 2 weeks later we went back to get the boat. We picked it up from storage, prepped it, hauled it to the lake, and went down the ramp. Dipped her in ... turned the key ... nothing. Tried all the tricks. Nada!! Batteries both dead. Called Harrison's and spoke to Bill Tobias. Guess what the first thing he asked? "How old are your batteries?!" Not ... OMG, I'm sorry. Bring it in and we'll take care of it. Nope! "YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!!!" "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT!!!" We'd just spent well over $15,000 with them. That may not be a lot to them but it is to us!!! Now, the icing on the cake!!! We pull the boat up the ramp. Haul it back to their shop. I walk in the door. No, I'm not happy but I'm not screaming or cursing. Marisa AND Mr. T are both at the counter and both on the phone with different customers. Marisa acknowledges me. Be right with you. Bill ... nothing. No eye contact. No head nod. Nothing ... kinda like the batteries. Marisa finishes first. How can I help you she asks. (Now, remember, we called in from the lake 15 min earlier and talked to Bill Tobias. The Bill Tobias, still on the phone, 5ft away from me and now ignoring me). I tell Marissa what happened. Guess what's the first thing she says, "I'm sorry this happened and I remember you asking us to do that!" At about this moment, Mr. Tobias finishes his call. Gets up. Walks by me and ... absolutely nothing. Am I crazy to be absolutely pissed at this? I'm not even angry about the inconvenience we were caused ... just this miserable failure at basic, common courtesy!! So unprofessional. I highly commend Harrison Marine's Marissa Frank for her exceptional customer service AND using her talents immediately!! for Marisa. I tried to find an owner or GM or ??? but apparently one doesn't exist so, bo where to voice me displeasure in house. Just a suggestion from someone who spent a great deal of their working life in customer service ... always lead with "I'm so sorry this happened to you and the inconvenience caused! Let's see what I can do to solve this problem!" Everyone backs off to that statement. Anything less and the fight is on. Too bad ... I was hopeful!! read more

Staff in parts was not knowledgeable when we bought our parts.. we then had to wait over a long weekend to find out NO returns and only exchanges and then to find out they didn't have the parts we needed to begin with!!!! Be careful with what you buy because you are stuck with it!! read more

We were on a trip recently from San Diego to North Idaho, and along the way, we decided our ToyHauler did not offer us all we wanted in an RV. So, while staying near Lake Shasta we came across Harrison's Marine & RV on Facebook and saw how so many people spoke highly of them. So, we gave them a call and spoke with Bill and found him a wealth of knowledge and NOT PUSHY :) He was so pleasant and easy to speak with, not only did he show us the features of their Surveyor line, he helped us understand many of the options that were now available on the 2020 models (Love the auto-leveling) We're getting older and he explained how these new features really saved us physically from the labors of setting up and departing. Later, we met Steve who helped us with understanding how affordable this purchase could be and also helped us make a great decision on an extended warranty, that brings us peach of mind in knowing we have years of coverage now and since we're gonna be using this RV a lot more with our retirement in sight, it just made great sense. We also go to meet Terri in the office, what a sweet thing she is and Rod the owner took the time to tell us about a couple of great spots to visit on our way north. He was spot on, but I guess that comes with having been raised in the business. Overall, it was an awesome experience and with our 2020 Surveyor West 250FKS in tow, we are loving life and enjoying this great country more than ever. Horrible! Horrible service! They have had my new boat for over 4 weeks for 20 hr. break-in service and STILL can't give me an estimate of when it will be done. Refuses to offer anything more specific than .."shouldn't take too much longer..." I strongly recommend that unless you are looking at an expensive warranty issue, I'd skip this place and go to a dependable independent shop or Medford or Sacramento for a Sun Tracker dealership if you really need a dealer. read more

They do not have the expertise to service v drive boats. They had my Centurion 2009 Avalanche for over 2 months and finally had to suggest what part needed to be replaced in order to resolve the issue (over heating manifolds), which they thought they fixed 2x prior to $4,500 bill)...only to find out on the lake nothing changed. Besides the exorborant charges (they didn't refund any $$$ from the ineffective repairs). They allowed my battery charger and an 550Lbs ballast and some tools to be stolen out of my boat as it sat on their property...again claiming zero responsibility. The boat really came back in worse condition then I sent it in with other issue e.g. loose iginition plug, random bolts and screws lying on the floor. Just pathetic service overall. I will never trust them to touch my boat again. It is way too risky. read more

I love Harrisons Marine and Scott and his crew! I have purchased several boats from them in the past and they are always fair and willing to work with my price range. For the past 11 years I have brought my Tour boat in for services and repairs and received nothing less then TOP SHELF service and speedy return of my boat. Scott is a wealth of knowledge and is always very helpful, in one instance last month he even came out to the lake to replace a part for me because I could not make it back in to the shop the day it came in. As a testament to his dedication, he did it on his day off which is even bigger indication of his professionalism and dedication to his clients. ( Thanks Scott!!) I have had Harrisons service all 5 of my boats some personal, some business related and they take great care of me each and every time. Last July Scott even went so far as to help diagnose another boats problem that was stuck on the dock on their vacation and offer to order parts for them and have them at the shop the following day so they could get off my tour boat and back onto theirs for their vacation. Worst customer service in Redding,don't spend your money here ever. I went in for some parts for my 2023 Axis T250. I wanted to change out my impeller and needed a new one so I gave them the part number and a picture of it from my friend who works at Tommys in Stockton who actually sold me the boat. They told me since I didn't buy the boat in Redding they couldn't sell me the parts!!! I don't even know how this place is still in business. read more

Fish a tournament with a friend and had problems with the prop. My friend took it to Harrisons to have that fixed, now mind you that we went from Cottonwood to Bridge bay to fish the Phil's tournament with no problem. After taking it there when he went to pick it up the axle was messed up. Now once again we went from cottonwood to the tournament back and then he took it on that Monday with no problem. He spoke with Scott about checking the cameras to see what happened and he said that he spoke with the technicians and the camera show nothing. But now he cant drive the trailer more than an 1/8 of a mile. He has been quoted now that he has to fix it or get an axle which is about $2600 with out labor. He was very unprofessional and is not willing to make it right. What kind of business are they running because my friend is under 30 and trying to get more work for his employees. My insurance company just cut me a check for $3k for repairs on my RV. Today (5/6/2020) I walked into Harrison's to see about them doing the work. I walked up to the service desk and a man in his mid-50's standing at the "parts" desk looked at me with annoyance that I was there and asked, "what do you need." Since I needed "service" I pointed toward the service desk and said, "service desk...". The man then repeated with even more annoyance in his voice, "what do you need." My husband and I purchased a tritoon sight unseen from this company. We live 10 hrs away so sure we were extremely nervous. After a few hiccups (not on their part, the boat company) we were able to make the drive and see the boat In person. Most of our transactions were done from the phone and it went so smooth and easy. From the moment we walked in everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Bill did a great job of taking his time and walking us through the boat inspection. We had a lot of questions and he answered every one of them! We are so thankful that everyone was wonderful about sharing as much information as they could. I have dropped my boat off 2x to have some balist work done, and ended up paying over $800 and received the boat back with zero change in being fixed, and then the boat started having engine/electrical issues, which I am pretty sure the organization could have attributed to that even though I can't prove it. I bought a lightly used boat (2021) from Harrison's Marine in January of this year. The sales process was excellent - they took me for a test drive, provided a lot of information about the boat in a non-salesy way, and were very low-key/no pressure. Once i purchased the boat, they very kindly offered to let me keep the boat in their showroom until I picked it up on April. There were a few minor details they said they would compete/fix - they completed all of these prior to me picking up. Had a great experience working with their sales people (Bill and Justin) and would absolutely buy a boat from them again in the future. Took my new lowe bass boat for it's one year service. There service tech found a gas leak on a vaulve on the top of the tank.They replace the plug for the trolling motor,but put the tool holder that the plug goes in was put in upside down. I siliconed a small fish finder on the bow, for I didn't drill holes in my new boat. While they all so left metal shavings all's over and in the carpet from drilling they drilled holes for the fish finder without calling me for permission !!!? And they mounted the fish finder bracket upside down too;!? While changing my oil and lower unit oil, they bent a piece of carpeted trim at the back by the motor !!!! Stopped by Harrison's over the weekend (7/15/17) to inquire about a pontoon boat. The first sales person that we spoke with was very helpful, and escorted my family through the facility. He mentioned that they were going to be getting a boat that was exactly what were looking for, and it would be there in about a week. We told him to be in contact so that we could take a look, and that we were going to go to Sacramento and check a few other places that day. As we were making our way out of the building, a short fat bald guy starts trying to pitch why we should bye from them, and starts trashing the competition. We ask him for the lowest number on a certain boat, and he replies with : "If your not going to buy it today, then you are wasting both of our time". So I should do no research, and not compare prices, and just buy from them....that makes a lot of sense. They should stick that guy in the back office, he's definitely not suited for customer service or sales, and has hurt the company while losing a customer. If that person would have not approached us, this review would not be happening. I'm sure they can narrow down the short fat bald guys that they have selling boats there, and counsel them on proper customer service/sales. read more

We bought our boat from them several years ago. We don't use it and want to sell it so we took it up to them . That was several weeks ago and we are still waiting to be payed . We have been lied to , cannot get our phone calls returned . But they have our boat up for sale right now ! My husband talked to the Highway patrol . My niece and her husband are in the sheriffs department and have told us to contact DMV and to file a form , and that the boat can not be sold at this time . We are going to contact channel 3 and DMV if we do not have a check in our hands by Friday 11/1/2018 . I have had to resort to social media as I can not get BILL to answer his cell or tell the truth to us about when we will get a check . We purchased our trailer here a year ago and have had nothing but problems with this dealer. They consistently gave us wrong info on warranty work and very very slow on actually fixing various problems. We have constantly called the manufacturer to verify the information they gave us. I am almost beyond words with these inconsiderate jerks! I took my motor in for the first time way the hell back in OCTOBER (it's March now) to get my carburetor cleaned out. It took 4 different visits for them to finally get the thing to fire up properly. At this point I thought all was well since as mechanics they should know what they're doing but I just took it out for the first time and it's running shittier than ever. If you go in reverse the engine sputters and dies if you're going full speed and decide to slow down so you can troll on the lake it sputters and dies. They did something wrong to my motor because it never did this before and when I decided to call them and see if they would take a look at it the guy on the phone was incredibly rude to me and proceeded to tell me that the soonest he would be able to look at it was 3 weeks out. We chose to deal with them even though it was about 125 mile away as opposed to closer dealerships that were far less helpful .They have gone above and beyond to make our dream a reality. We picked up our 22ft Suntracker Fishin' Barge today and couldn't be happier . They were very helpful friendly and prompt , keeping us updated and helping us through every step of the process. Don't bother to take your boat here for maintenance. I made an appointment weeks in advance only to find out after driving 35 miles from Red Bluff that they won't work on OMC drive boats. I only wanted an oil change. No one asked me or told me on the phone that they didn't work on OMC. NO explanation. Told me to take it to Norcal Water Sports up the road. I did and they gladly took me in and did the job the same day. I would highly recommend Norcal Water Sports over these yahoo's. read more

I purchased a pontoon boat and a travel trailer from these guys. They seem very happy to sell you their boats and trailers but when I had to have repairs done the customer service is non existent! It took over 4 months to fix my boat and 2 months to replace LED lights on my trailer! They just don't communicate and when they do its not very apologetic! It's one thing to be unapologetic but when they tried to charge me $200 for MY old pontoons that they wanted to scrap this business just failed miserably for me!
