Disappointed. Not with the Mercury Motor we bought but…read morewith some of the personnel. Let me explain: We met their sales manager Bill Tobias last August with a plan to purchase a new 115hp Mercury outboard. Seemed like a nice guy. Responsive and enthusiastic. Decided to postpone till early in 2026. Called in early February. All good. We put down a deposit ($2k ... not small) to get the process moving. We gave specific timelines and, though earlier than expected, it worked OK. Still good. Did all the financing with Marisa Frank. She was excellent all the way through even apologized for some little things the finance company called for late. She was very professional. Motor installed. Seemed great. When we left the boat, I asked them to "please charge both my batteries AND grease my trailer wheel bearings!" (Common procedure with boats). I was told no problem and Marisa even noted it on our service chart. After a couple days we were notified the boat was ready. We drove up (200 miles) to pick it up. Stayed the night to be there in the morning. Got there and boat was ready. Then we learned of some options no one mentioned earlier and expressed our interest. They were able to add the option curbside and we took the boat. As we mentioned to them prior to giving them the boat FOR the install, we weren't ready to put the boat in our slip at the lake, so it was going back into our storage facility. No problems were anticipated. 2 weeks later we went back to get the boat. We picked it up from storage, prepped it, hauled it to the lake, and went down the ramp. Dipped her in ... turned the key ... nothing. Tried all the tricks. Nada!! Batteries both dead. Called Harrison's and spoke to Bill Tobias. Guess what the first thing he asked? "How old are your batteries?!" Not ... OMG, I'm sorry. Bring it in and we'll take care of it. Nope! "YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!!!" "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT!!!" We'd just spent well over $15,000 with them. That may not be a lot to them but it is to us!!! Now, the icing on the cake!!! We pull the boat up the ramp. Haul it back to their shop. I walk in the door. No, I'm not happy but I'm not screaming or cursing. Marisa AND Mr. T are both at the counter and both on the phone with different customers. Marisa acknowledges me. Be right with you. Bill ... nothing. No eye contact. No head nod. Nothing ... kinda like the batteries. Marisa finishes first. How can I help you she asks. (Now, remember, we called in from the lake 15 min earlier and talked to Bill Tobias. The Bill Tobias, still on the phone, 5ft away from me and now ignoring me). I tell Marissa what happened. Guess what's the first thing she says, "I'm sorry this happened and I remember you asking us to do that!" At about this moment, Mr. Tobias finishes his call. Gets up. Walks by me and ... absolutely nothing. Am I crazy to be absolutely pissed at this? I'm not even angry about the inconvenience we were caused ... just this miserable failure at basic, common courtesy!! So unprofessional. I highly commend Harrison Marine's Marissa Frank for her exceptional customer service AND using her talents immediately!! for Marisa. I tried to find an owner or GM or ??? but apparently one doesn't exist so, bo where to voice me displeasure in house. Just a suggestion from someone who spent a great deal of their working life in customer service ... always lead with "I'm so sorry this happened to you and the inconvenience caused! Let's see what I can do to solve this problem!" Everyone backs off to that statement. Anything less and the fight is on. Too bad ... I was hopeful!!

I had it 15 years with no problems. Then a drive bearing went out. Only because I forgot to pull the plug and boat filled with rain. They repair it for 600.00. Insurance company said they didn't cover boats that sank on dry land lol. It has now been 20 years and because of a outdrive leak the outdrive needs repair. Guess who I am taking it to! But first I am giving them first shot at selling me a pontoon boat. Thanks Shasta Inboards.

Not trusting that they wouldn't have removed the middle t-handled plug, I unsnapped the carpet to remove the center bilge access and they had cross-threaded it in trying to put it back and and jammed it. Cannot open it. No idea if the center drain plug is in or not. It is 101 degrees outside, a Sunday, and I cannot take my boat out, am out $1090 and have ZERO confidence that any of the work was done right. It makes me sad, there is nowhere to take a boat to have it worked on in Redding. I suppose there are so many boaters and so few places to have them worked on that any kind of service is accepted. Right now I just want to sell my boat, this is too much work and too depressing.

They look out for YOU as the customer even if it is not what you want to 'hear' (the bad news)...the good news is WPM is a great 'marine doctor' that can practically repair or replace what has been broke or has been lost. This is what I call old school customer service when you show me what you replaced and what was broke...taking the time and explaining. Thank you WPM!! And Thank you to Ms. Donna!! A heads up would've been appropriate. The shop hours of 9 to 5 Monday through Friday make it very difficult to drop off or pick up your boat or motor without having to take a day off of work. I took a day off work to drop off my motor and I had to send my daughter to pick it up so I would not have to take another day off Three weeks later when my motor was finally ready, I paid for it over the phone and let them know my daughter was going to pick it up. I asked them to please help her secure it in the truck I will make sure there are straps provided. I was told they would take of care of it When my daughter went to pick up the motor she asked the service man to please use the straps she had to secure the motor to the back of the truck so it would not roll around. He looked at her like she was crazy, used one strap haphazardly and as soon as she pulled out of the parking lot the motor rolled to the other side of the pick up bed. Their lack of concern for my motor I just paid them over $1400 to repair was horrible All in all very disappointing I will not be returning to this shop

The estimate went up to $120.00 *Including shop labor*. But His welder was out sick, So they had someone else work on it. It sat at their shop for 2 weeks waiting on the welder to get better. by the time the 3rd week rolled around Monday morning I was on the phone and the gentleman on the other end of the phone said he had another mechanic that new how to weld. Would I be all right with him doing the work, I said yes. 3 days later I was told I could pick it up. The Mechanic that worked on my Ride, He's such a Idiot! The welds are blobs and balls & pitted. Worst welding I have ever seen from a Newbie Welder! I had spent 20+ hours getting that Muffler to a Mirror finish and 3 separate coats of High Temp Gloss Black Baked in the oven at 300 degrees for 2 hours and wet sanded after each time before the next coat. It looked like a Black Mirror I loved it! The Welder decided on his own to re-paint my Muffler to it's original flat black using HTP and charged me 2x times the price of A can of High Temp Paint. The Mechanic was using the paint to cover up his poor job of welding. On top of this I was charged 157.29 for him to weld my Muffler & Paint my Muffler. Yes I took a Bicycle to a Motorcycle Mechanic to get a Motorcycle Muffler welded onto a 2 stroke motor for me. I've got over $2,000.00 into this ride. I was shocked at what he did to my ride and the price I was charged, I'll never send anyone to them.
