Another Christmas and it's good to see that Harry and David's continue to ship the same over priced bruised, brown and mushy pears. It must really be difficult to maintain the amount of poor quality control I have come to expect with their seasonal gifts. As a public service to others I would recommend another company for perishable items. I would rate it zero if they gave that option. The package I ordered was for a specific date for an event. I had to pay extra for the early delivery. The day the package was suppose to be delivered I got an update that the delivery was not going to be delivered on the date I paid extra for, but would be delivered the next day. Too late. Not what I expected. Calling was a nightmare and no help. Basically Harry & David blamed Fed Ex and Fed Ex blamed Harry David. This was the first time I used Harry and David. Last year, when we ordered pears for a Christmas gift, we received the third degree from customer service when we called regarding bad pears. After that, they wanted to know how many pears we ate and what was left! We have never received such poor customer service and will never order from Harry & David again. On June 9th I ordered a pear and fruit box for Father's day. In addition, I ordered a hedgehog with succulents, baklava, crackers and another hedgehog statue, having spent $245.68. The order was never delivered. I have been talking to FedEx for over a month and interestingly enough they have no proof of delivery, no picture. They told me to contact the shipper, Harry and David. To make a long story short, they sent the Grand Significant Gift Box to "make amends". EVERY SINGLE PEAR in the box was rotten and liquified to the point it was leaking out of the box. The cheeses included in the box were bubbling inside the package. The package of crackers were open. I again contacted H&D and they are going to refund me $37.42. What a joke these people are. This is the first and last time I will use this company for anything! I ordered 2 items for Christmas these items were going to difervent addresses. As I was reviewing the order I noticed that the items were being sent to the wrong recipient so I went to edit and correct the problem. Once the correction was made it clicked place order and the final order WAS NOT CORRECT it had the initial information which was INCORRECT! I called the customer service number immediately and of course AI was on the line and stated that they could not correct the issue...why would you say "for changes in your order please call this number!" Every year, I order the Christmas fruit wreath $120. This year, it came and all the fruit was ROTTED. Tried to change shipping address. Package has not shipped at all only has FedEx tracking number. Well spoke with 3 reps at Harry and David all said I had to contact FedEx. Well, when I spoke to FedEx, they said there was nothing they could do on their end and that the shipper had to make the change on their own. I placed an order on 12/7/24 for a birthday basket to be delivered by 12/16/24 and paid over $30 for delivery costs which was almost as much as the $50.00 gift purchased. The items were not even shipped until 12/23/24 and were not delivered until 12/26/24. This was a huge disappointment for my friend whose birthday was on 12/15/24. I have previously ordered Harry and David and was pleased with the order and delivery. However, when I tried to chat through customer service about this order it was AI and not a person I was texting with as they did not have any helpful replies to my questions about when my order would be shipped. I spoke with Jacob about a gift card message change, he told me that he made it 6/12/25 about 5pm. Every bit of correspondence they sent me before delivery showed there had been no correction made, I just don't like dishonesty. He should have just hung up on me, then I would have known automatically it was not going to be corrected, instead of pretending to make the correction, dishonesty is pretty low. read more

This company sucks. I ordered a basket to be delivered to a friend who was just getting out of the hospital on October 26. So far it has not been delivered at all and they are claiming that it will be delivered on November 15 three weeks after I ordered it. There is really no point to delivering it that late. I thought Harry & David was an upscale online seller of home, decor and gifts. On November 30, 2021, I ordered a wooden rectangular planter with fresh herbs for $70 to be sent to my friend for Christmas. The gift had not yet arrived three days before Christmas although the site said the item was in stock and would arrive by Christmas. I tried to contact the company, but found that they had no direct website. I got the name of the company who was shipping and handling the item from PayPal. I'm so glad I paid using PayPal. They work with you when filing disputes with sellers. Twenty-four hours after I filed the dispute, I was contacted by email. They assured me they were shipping the package within three days. That was the last I heard from them. The package had still not arrived in mid-January! I escalated the dispute to a claim. It has taken two weeks to hear from PayPal who said that the seller said they had delivered the package. No photo of the delivery was provided. It was their word against mine. I have yet to see a refund or an apology. They even threatened me with legal action if I filed another claim against them. Needless to say, I will never use them again. They advertise constantly on Facebook with glossy impressive pictures. Don't be fooled. They are scam artists and they steal your money! read more

Never again! This is the most inept and unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. Absolutely abysmal customer service that relies much too heavily on Artificial Intelligence. Asked for December 10th delivery and received confirmation that it would be delivered January 10th. After contacting them to correct the error, I received an email saying the date had been corrected, but when I went online to confirm it, the delivery date was STILL January 10th. Finally got the date corrected, but then they inexplicably added another charge to the already ridiculous price I was paying. Even though I told them three times the recipient was a business and they assured me it would be delivered during the week, they delivered it on a Sunday when no one was there. Last, but certainly not least, the fruit was bruised and most assuredly not worth $150. Now I understand first hand all of the one star ratings. NEVER AGAIN. read more
