I do not recommend this location at all, I went there today February 26, 2025 to purchase a small edible arrangement for my doctor since I just found out that he has Cancer. I went to this location and looked in the Grab and Go section in a small cooler. My wife asked the cashier when was the arrangement made, the cashier Cindee said this morning. We purchased the edible arrangement and went straight to my doctor's office. When I looked down at the arrangement it looked very old and the strawberries looked dark and mushy and there was alot of condensation on the inside of the bag. The lightening in my doctor's office is very bright and different from the lighting in the edible arrangement place. The lightening must be dim there. I am very unsatisfied for purchasing an old edible arrangement that apparently was not made today but maybe yesterday or the day before. All of the fruit looked like it was mushy. The cashier was not being truthful, I'm not sure if she didn't want to make a fresh one or why she wasn't being honest. I will no longer shop at this location and I will not recommend anyone else to use the grab and go section. I initially went to the Greyhound Pass location but they were closed so I had to chose this location and I am so upset and embarrassed that I gave my sickly doctor some old fruit. WOW!!

It looks like it was just rolling around in the back of the delivery truck.

Horrible customer service delivery was late. Product looked terrible. Refused to refund money continuously hung up on us when we called very hateful women that work there hopefully this place goes out of business soon like the rumors say.

The free fruit cup is false advertisement , I went to the store on 62nd n keystone this morning , I took the picture in all showed the lady in she said they do not do it but on here it says all stores , would've been nice to get a lil free cup after spending 100 wit them

Ignoring the chocolate covered elephant in the room that is, let's be real, over paying for cutout fruit, we have to give a hand to EA because either way - it's still delicious and we're still buying so what gives? Before I sound frugal, let me say I now know it's all in the experience and it now makes sense. It's not about fruit cutouts and shapes but about the little details. From simply choosing your style of fruit bouquets (so many!!) to the people behind the scenes. I had a pleasant experience shopping, in store for once, for my MIL's last minute birthday gift, I was able to stop in (with my one year old!) choose my bouquet, and walk out the door in under an hour. The service was a tad slow at first however once it was my turn I realized they took time with each customer to ensure satisfaction. That's a trade-off I can live with. Thanks to Yelp check-in I was even able to snag a treat for myself out of the whole ordeal. Thanks Audrey & the team at 62nd EA for great patience, service & charisma.

We stopped by after visiting a neighboring restaurant. The clerk was part of a volunteer staff and was friendly and welcoming. She told us about the sourcing of the merchandise. She also reminded me of their second location on Mass Ave. Several things caught my eye, especially the hand crafted "quilled" greeting cards. The handmade dresses and shirts are colorful and lovely. Handmade baskets, carvings and stuffed animals were among the merchandise. Prices are reasonable. I snagged a dark chocolate candy bar before leaving and have my eye on a pair of earrings. There's plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. Worth a visit.

In a weird way, I've grown up with Global Gifts. Global Gifts is an Indy-based fair trade and…read moreethically made gift shop. It's a non-profit organization that has grown since it's first location opened in 1988 on north Michigan Road. At the time, I was a fumbling and bumbling adult and the manager, Julie, was a kind-hearted soul who welcomed my presence even though my income at the time meant I hardly ever spent anything. Global Gifts now has multiple locations and the Michigan Road spot is long gone. I now live in Lawrence and this spot is likely my closest option. I believe the other two locations still open are Mass Avenue here in Indy and a spot in Bloomington, IN. Global Gifts began in the 1980's as a project of First Mennonite Church with a commitment to Fair Trade products. 30 years later, Global Gifts continues its strong commitment to fair trade - this means the products you buy at Global Gifts support fair wages, gender equity, and dignified working conditions. They work with some familiar names, such as Equal Exchange, while also including lots of other individual and organizational vendors from around the world in offering products that are reasonably priced and free of a lot of the ethical concerns so often associated with coffee, jewelry, and other products from around the world. As a non-profit, a good number of the folks you encounter in the stores in each location are volunteers with a few paid staff that work across the organization and manage the retail centers. As I noted, this particular shop relocated recently from a spot in in the same strip center as Whole Foods. Due to some decisions by Kite Realty, several of the longtime vendors have departed and Global Gifts found this spot in a small strip center just south of East 86th Street on Westfield Boulevard. They are directly next to the new Illumine Coffee. Global Gifts is at the north end of the Strip Center. There's a ramp right at the end of the building and it's better to use than the south end (though the south end is more visible, I noticed multiple obstacles to access on the strip center's sidewalk. It's an older strip center and the sidewalk is somewhat narrow). Global Gifts noted during my visit that they'd already noticed a problem with accessibility when their door is open due to the narrow sidewalk. It's nice visiting businesses who are aware. This location is a bit longer than its predecessor. However, it's a tad more narrow. That said, I found this location MUCH more wheelchair friendly. No comparison. It may be how products are placed, but I was amazed how much it felt like I could wheel around without being concerned about hitting anything. The store itself is usually packed with a wide variety of goods made from around the world. While you can certainly spend a decent chunk of cash here, the prices are easily below many retail outlets in most cases and, again, you're supporting indie artisans and a non-profit organization. There's a strong "craft" vibe here with items ranging from jewelry to paper goods to home interiors to coffees, teas, and candies to children's toys to books and much more. I'm not quite ready to say that Global Gifts is 100% Fair Trade, given that they do support and carry some items from local people (especially in books) but I can easily say the vast majority would qualify as Fair Trade and I know the shop itself is certified as Fair Trade. There's a progressive spirit here - for example, their book options nearly always celebrate banned books and indie publishers. There's only a few books here, however, they're always great ones. While I'm a lot less bumbling than I used to be, I still love the staff and volunteers here. I learned today that the assistant manager actually drives from Lafayette to work here. That's commitment. A word of caution to the "quick" shopper. As most of those staffing the store and the cash registers (there are two) are volunteers, you may not necessarily get the hyper-speed of your usual retail outlet. Sometimes, volunteers have questions or have something happen they don't quite understand. It's helpful to have just a little bit of patience here. I've never reached the point of frustration myself here, but those more geared toward quick in-and-out visits may want to lower expectations a notch. They also have a rewards program that is worth signing up for. You can also order an awful lot online. Overall, Global Gifts remains one of my favorite places to shop for just about any occasion and for myself. The shop is small, but the mission is large and with a 30+ year history they've clearly succeeded in building something special here. If you're in the area, give them a try and now that they're next to an awesome coffeeshop this is just a great corner to visit.

Charles Mayer & Company is a "gift shop," though likely not in the fashion you're thinking. If your primary thought is "I'm on a budget," then Charles Mayer & Company is likely not going to be your first destination. This is a "premium" gift shop offering home decor, tableware, books, frames, candles/fragrance, linen, jewelry, fashion, decor, baby items and more. Charles Mayer & Company began in downtown Indy in 1840. Charles Mayer immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 19. It grew into a five-story building and operated until 1954 when its inventory was sold to L.S. Ayres. The building was then razed in 1959. Fast forward. In 1992, Claudia Ryan decided to revive the story alongside her husband, Tim. Tim just happens to be a maternal great-great grandson of Charles Mayer. A new tradition was born inside this store on the northside intentionally designed to resemble a home. It's also, much to my surprise, more accessible than I expected - though, given the price of some of its items I'll openly admit this is one store where I'm super cautious. Somewhat ironically, Ryan is also a former VP of Fashion Merchandising for L.S. Ayres. So, a few things here. First off, the customer service is impeccable. If you know me, you know I'm a bit of a slob. Hey, it's true. You can say it. I don't exactly radiate the vibe of being someone who's going to enter your store and spend a lot of cash. So, I'm always a little impressed when I enter a more luxe store and am treated well. At one point, for example, I wrote about the fact that I'd gone through the former Saks Fifth Avenue, not particularly dressed well but with cash in hand, and was completely ignored. That doesn't happen here. This is a neat little corner - you're talking places like Kids Ink, Byrne's Grilled Pizza, an art gallery, a butcher and more. It's quite cool. Charles Mayer & Company feels natural here and really fits in with the vibe of the area. The people were friendly. The store is surprisingly accessible. The selection is remarkable - I'm particularly dazzled by the MOVA Globes. While not everything on the website is in-store at all times, it seems like they can usually get it and in a pretty timely manner. Have you ever wanted a $145 designer fire extinguisher? They have them here (and they are incredible). This place is completely dazzling. However, again, it's definitely a more luxe gift shop. If you're looking for a gift on the finer side, this is definitely a place to check out.

An exceptionally helpful and friendly person made multiple attempts to contact me and was able to find the specific item I was looking for in a slightly different color that still fit in with the decor I was trying to match and which would still get to me in time to be under the tree. Even though it wasn't a big ticket item, Charles Mayer & Company made me feel like I was their most important customer.
